Chương 14: Dungeon Master Survival Begin!
I went towards the block where participants of the Dungeon Master Survival were on standby. The registration before the first event also registered those who wished to join the survival and the Dungeon Battle.

I grabbed the loincloth and brought the paint inside. I took of my clothes, and wore the loincloth, applied some paint on my body to look more tribal.

Women and men in their tribal gear, the men only had a loincloth so the only thing they were covering is there nether regions, while the females' exposure was high. I can even see some men trying to get close with a beauty with huge ones!!
The female troupe was only covering their chest and nether region area. It's just like exposing your body to a lot of people.
…W-Who knew that this event would rewards me this early in the game. But I still won't lose without fighting!!
The girls were obviously embarassed, but others were nonchalant like meh…
While I was busy admiring the sight of beautiful girls with their revealing clothes, a hologram appeared in the center of the room. I bet it's another announcement.
"Attention all participants, there are approximately 100 participating in this event. In 5 minutes, all of the participants will be transferred to the battle area. I repeat…"
Again, with monotonous voice and repeating announcements, hologram-chan continued for about 10 seconds before vanishing. I go over the rules once more before we start to head out.
All of us will start in random places about 500 meters away from each other. We will be provided with no food, water and weapons, only a rough map about the area. It is up to us to procure said items, by crafting, pillaging, stealing, forging, anything as long as it is not in violation of the rules. Well, the only rule is to not die if you want to win and only the last man standing will be the winner, so anything goes. It is a survival anyway. Oh yeah, this is the most important part of the event. There is a time limit of three days, and every hour, the area of the event becomes smaller, with the center as the last area of survival. Those who go out of bounds get an instant disqualification in the form of a gruesome death.
While simulating on ways to survive, the hologram appeared again and we were teleported to the survival area.
Spread out within my vision is a grass land, with a forest to the east. Checking the map, I found my position in the southwest. Around here was a giant forest, filled with ferocious animals and monsters, and inside the forest, was a giant spring lake.
My best bet to survive is to, head inside the forest and make a base inside, create traps and defenses to repel intruders, and hunt some animals for food while using the lake as a source of water. Also, the lake is near the center so I can take it easy for about two days, with the last day for travel. Somehow, I was transferred to a good place huh…
While waiting for a minute, a timer showing 00:30 appeared in front of me. I stood up from my sitting position and readied my legs for jogging or running. Before any dungeon master reaches the lake, I need to arrive first and claim the territory. Also, if there are any dungeon masters there, I will have to take the territory from their hands.
The timer ticked zero and I dashed towards the area where the lake is. I double-checked the map so that I know which direction I should go. I slowed my pace down when I reached the forest as I don't want to exhaust my limited stamina.
For some reason, after running for such time, I don't feel that tired, is it because of my level rising?
After jogging for about 10 minutes, I reached the lake, but right now, I am inside a bush. In front of me was the lake alright, but beside it was a wolf drinking from it.
I forgot to craft some weapons before moving. I have been so focused on reaching here that I forgot to create some weapons for self-defense.
I backed away and picked up a stick. Finding some vines, I picked up a suitable rock with a size that can be supported by my stick. I tied the rock using the vines and voila! A makeshift rock cudgel! I just hope that this cudgel will still be in one piece after a swing at that wolf.
I carefully crept towards the unaware wolf. Thankfully from running through the forest, the smell of the forest rubbed on me, making it harder for wolves to smell me. I just have to becareful from making any soun----
*Crack*
The wolf's ears twitched and looked at my direction.
"...."
"...."
The two of us had a staring contest for a few seconds, after that, the wolf quickly lunged at me.
"!? Shit!!!"
I quickly changed gears and readied my stance. The wolf was quickly closing in on me at my right, so I dodged left. The wolf pounced at me while I was dodging, and its paws scratched my arm.
"Ghh!"
Swapping the cudgel to my left hand, I swung it at the wolf beside me. The cudgel hit its right flank, and I also heard sounds of breaking, must be the bones of the wolf.
The wolf landed on the ground near me and retried its attack on me. This time, I'll kill you!
Dodging again with the same pattern, I swung at the wolf with my cudgel… Eh…?
I didn't feel any resistance. It was weird. When I took a look at my cudgel, I found out why.

DYING BECAUSE I SNAPPED MY CUDGEL WHEN I SWUNG IT AT THE WOLF, WHAT THE HELL!?

A sigh of defeat escaped my lips. The reason for dying is because the cudgel snapped when I swung it at the wolf for the first time. The stick must have been not durable enough to withstand the impact. That must have been the sound of breaking I heard when fighting.
I got up from my bed and headed towards the exit. A feeling of déjà vu assaulted me when I reached the exit.
"Hello again, mister Daichi, you lost again huh?"
"Yeah, to a wolf no less."
I quickly come clean. I don't think it is shameful to die from a wolf.
"A wolf huh… Well, I was stepped on."

Are you serious!? The first event, Limus died because of being stepped on by a robot, now Limus died because of being stepped on again!?
"Yeah, being stepped on by elephant was terrifying…"

… I have no way to retort to that…
"How about Ignis?"
"Ignis? He was the first runner up again."

Wow, what is with this chain of events? I died on the race because of my negligence. I also died on the survival because of my negligence. Limus died by being stepped on by giants in the race and survival.
"How did he lose?"
