"Go for the eyes!"
The undead rabbits had worked as a quasi meat shield. At least they were able to annoy Snarf enough to keep it occupied. Even better, they seemed to be too small and agile for it to hit them. However, that was also a weak point, they were TOO small. They wouldn't be able to deal any fatal damage.
In the end I had to be the DPS so I had them go for the eyes. This served two purposes. One, it got them out of the way in case of friendly fire. Two, if I was lucky they might be able to blind the bastard. If that happened I'd close the gap and use [𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡] to recover and finish it off like the first time. For now I was not getting closer, it was flailing all over the place, and I'd rather not test my luck a second time.
I really wished I had been smart enough to try out [𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬] before I went to the guild. I'll definitely make sure I test out any new skills as soon as I get them next time...if I am still alive that is. 𝘍𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘭𝘰!
I started to move my arm, the world returned to normal speed, and I pointed my hand at Snarf's body.
"Blood Needles!"
"....."
Nothing happened. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭?!? I could hear the strange words coming out of my mouth again and I felt the draw of my magic power, but nothing happened. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨....𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬....𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬....𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 [𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙉𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙨]....𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥? 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥! 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰, 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴!
I bit down on my finger drawing blood. I stuck my hand out and concentrated on the idea of using THIS blood, and called out again.
"Blood Needles!"
This time something happened. The blood on my thumb turned almost misty as it shifted and coalesced into two misty needles in front of my hand. They looked to be about the size of 7" knitting needles. I suddenly felt more blood being drawn from the wound as the I saw the needles solidify. As I saw the last bits of blood mist reach the needles, I blinked. The world snapped back to life. The needles had vanished from my sight and I heard a roar of pain from Snarf. 𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴?!?
The answer, extremely. I hadn't noticed due to being engrossed with the sight, but all of that happened in my heightened awareness state. In reality the entirety of the spell was only a moment. I looked at Snarf and saw two holes in its chest. 𝘖𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘨𝘰𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘥!
"Fuck you Snarf! Blood Needles!"
"Blood Needles!"
"Blood Needles!"
"Blood Needles!"
I should of known it couldn't be that easy. Snarf might be the worst character, but it was an offspring of a Hentai Dragon. While I was doing damage to Snarf at a safe distance.....I was running out of blood. Snarf was just too large. A normal human would of been a dead pin cushion by now, but Snarf had far more vitality than any mere human.
If I kept going like this I'd probably die first from blood loss. The needles had massive penetration power and went straight through Snarf, but I apparently had missed all the vital points. Its vital functions didn't match up with a humans, that or I was a terrible shot. Probably both.
My only option was to scatter shot, but I only had so much blood left. I was already starting to feel a bit cold from losing too much blood loss. As I looked at Snarf, searching for an Achilles heel, I noticed its fur looked wet.
𝘐𝘧 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦..... I concentrated hard on that blood soaked into its fur.
"Blood Needles!"
Again I felt the draw of magic from me and then I saw the blood mist pull and solidify in front of Snarf's body. The moment they became solid they tore through its flesh, creating a hole straight through. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬! 𝘐𝘵 𝘏𝘈𝘚 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬!
I spammed the spell aiming all over Snarf's body. I was starting to have the same feeling of overusing mana again, but Snarf wasn't looking so good either. Its movements were continuously slowing until it finally collapsed on the ground, falling on its side.
The rabbits hadn't stopped this entire time and seemed to have been able to blind it at some point. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴. Snarf was still writhing on the ground, but after a few more volleys it stopped moving. 𝘐𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥?
I didn't want to get into melee range if I didn't have to. As I was wondering what to do, I happened to see something sticking out from Snarf's lower regions.....𝘏𝘜𝘎𝘌.
I hadn't noticed either time due to being occupied with the fights, but now that I had a moment I finally saw it. Snarf was hung like a horse. I got an idea, it was atrocious idea, an idea that would be banned by the Geneva Convention, but I had to. This is a matter of personal safety and survival after all. Let me be clear, I'm not a bad person. Really. My hatred doesn't run THAT deep. Probably.
"Rabbits! Attack that giant schlong!"
"..."
After a few moments of no reaction I called off the rabbits.
"Hahhhh"
I let out a long sigh. I can definitely say, without a shadow of a doubt, it is DEFINITELY dead.
