Chương 13: Chapter 13: Just asleep
At the hospital, under the threats of the two devils looming over them, the doctors were forced to run many unnecessary tests on the young girl which kept coming back normal after they had already come to the conclusion a while ago that the girl had only fallen asleep.
This result is most likely from over exhaustion which was probably due to all the incidents that she had gone through so soon after just recently recovering from a coma.
The two devils just wouldn't believe them as she still hadn't waken up.
As they were about to start up again, Melody had come back to check on her friend with a new outfit for her to change into after she is discharged.
Upon hearing that Serenity was only just asleep, she sighed in relief and then face palmed herself for overreacting.
Hearing Hayden and Colton making a fuss and giving the doctors trouble, she slapped them both in the back of the heads, "Jesus, shut up will ya, she is trying to sleep and your loud voices will wake her up." Melody yells at them and then gives them an ultimatum to either be quiet and sit down or leave the room.
They both immediately quiet down and sit down, busying themselves on their phones, making her face palm again.
Children. These grown men behave like children.
Hayden's text to Luke: Your sister is scary.
Luke opened his phone to see this and just chuckled which earned him a glare from his sister. 'What did I do?' he though before making a motion of zipping his lips.
It was this scene that Serenity had waken up to after only having been passed out for a couple hours it seems.
I stretch my arms as they ache from what felt like a hefty work out, dang, never fall asleep after working out or you will be so sore when waking up.
I feel my head which has been wrapped in fresh gauze to cover the new wound on my head.
I look around at all the idiots in the room and Melody.
"Good job controlling them." I say with a small smile.
"It was really exhausting, they were freaking out over you sleeping and causing the doctors grief." Melody responds smiling.
'You were also freaking out when she was just asleep too.' thinks Braxton as he face palms.
Stretching again, I say, "Hayden, did you tell grandpa, and did you find out who did this?"
"Well I didn't want to be yelled at so I thought we could just tell him when you are better." He says with a sly smile.
I sigh, "Your going to get yelled at anyway, answer my second question now."
"Oh yeah the order was given by that Coward family of the girl who attends your school." he says.
"Okay Hayden, but which family and what girl?" I say slightly annoyed.
Luke coughs, "He means the Howard family."
Enlightened, Melody exclaims, "OH, that is Sarah's family, you remember this morning in class, the girl who stood in your way calling you a....yeah and then you just told her to google you and shoved past her and her goons. It was awesome. I guess she really couldn't handle that small embarrassment."
I shoot Melody a glare so she doesn't mention that rumor being spread about me, I would rather my brother not get involved and bankrupt half the prestigious families whose children attend my school for talking about said rumor.
"Oh that girl, I didn't even remember. How offensive that she hired such amateurs, I feel hurt." I say seriously.
"Uh sister, your friend is a little well...yeah never mind." Luke says to Melody who shoots him a look as if daring him to finish his sentence.
"Wait, you are Luke Powers sister. Interesting, I had thought your name sounded familiar, but I didn't think to relate you to this idiot playboy, no offense." I say with a look as if a light bulb just turned on in my head.
Man, I know I was naive in the past to let those events happen, but did I get slower too?
"Hey! You can't say no offense after offending me!" Luke says as if he wants to cry.
"Of course she can, you are an idiot after all who allows random low grade actresses and model get pictured with you without caring about your image. Yeah, sometimes I don't know how I am related to him either. Let's trade brothers." Melody says following up.
"Mines an idiot too, but I will keep him." I say with a smile thinking about how Hayden must have been freaking out when he got my SOS text.
Hayden ignores the idiot part and looks deeply touched.
"So what is the plan for the Coward family?" I ask as Luke just face palms, 'They really are related." he thinks to himself.
"Taking them out." Hayden says.
"I would like to wait." I say.
"Why?" Melody asks curiously.
"My annual birthday party thing that I am forced to have by grandpa and Hayden is coming up. Let's invite them, seeing as how she decided not to look me up before messing with me, I should publicly introduce myself and get rid of some flys while I am at it." I say with a smirk.
"Then we can take them down right?" Hayden says.
"Yes Hayden, then you can have your fun." I say rolling my eyes, I would rather watch than do it myself anyways. Too much effort for such insignificant idiots.
