Chương 33: Hurry up & Leave!
Suddenly, a loud beeping sound is heard from both Jasmine & John. The machine that made the noise beeps again, half-second later.
John asked confusingly, "Did you hear that?"
Jasmine replies, "Yes, I did. I wonder what that was from & what it means."
John gets up, opens the door, & asks Luke why one of his machines is making a beeping noise. Luke comes running & looks at a seemingly random monitor, then, suddenly, turns around with a gun pointed at Jasmine. He asks her, "Who is coming here? This place should not have any signals coming in or out here. This place should be hidden from anyone."
She immediately kicks the gun out of his hands & grabs it from the air.
Jasmine confusingly asks him, "Can you tell how many people are coming?"
Luke looks back at the monitor & starts frantically typing. He says, "It says that 14 people are coming. Why, do you know who they could be?"
Jasmine immediately replies, "It can only be 2 people. Either the terrorist group or a couple of the agents. Either way, it's not good news!"
Luke replies, "Well, umm... ok! I think we should -"
"Get out of here? Yeah, I would agree! Are there any back doors or alternate exits we can use that they won't be able to find us?" Jasmine said, interrupting Luke.
Luke nods his head & says, "This way! Follow me!"
Luke runs to the wall opposite of the door he was near & moves a bed that's on the floor. He then goes & lifts up the mattress & pushes it out of the way. Quickly running his hands on the ground & then pulls up a handle, opening up a hatch. He then looks at the group & says, "You guys coming, or are you going to stand there?"
The group runs to Luke & everyone enters the hatch that Luke opened. He looks at John & says, "Keep Alexia safe for me! I will try to cover your guys' escape. I'll buy you guys sometime. The passage heads out to the Northern Exit. Now quickly go!"
Luke closes the door & puts the mattress over the hatch, trying to conceal the secret exit. Just as he does this, he hears banging on his main entrance, which should be almost impossible to spot. Luke walks to the door & opens the tiny peephole to see who is at the door. As he looks to see who is at his secret well-hidden door, they say, "It's the police, open up! We just have a few questions we want to ask you."
