Chương 35: Chapter 34: Attacking in night
The women kneeled and requested "Please take us with you"
Yang Feng was surprised by her request and he realised someone was pulling his clothes it was Yang Faolan.
Yang Faolan requested "Can you please take them with us??"
Yang Feng asked the women "Why?? Don't you want to return to your family and tribe"
The women replied, "Even if I returned I would be kicked out immediately if they learned I lost my chastity to those bandits". Chastity was without a doubt extremely important to women and in a period where women are not given any power in the family matters even if they didn't kick her out of the family she would be treated nothing more than a servant by her own family member so she would rather work for Yang Feng than return to her family just to be kicked out or be treated as a servant.
Yang Feng felt pity for her and thought for a while and decided "If so all of you shall stay here and wait for us to return. I shall also arrange some of my soldiers for your protection" and the huge group of slaves kneeled and also pleaded "Please take us with you too"
Yang Feng recognised those slaves as they were the slaves who were captured in the ambush they led to form the returning bandits. They probably had nowhere to go as their homes were destroyed by the bandits and the slaves who returned didn't have their home destroyed so Yang Feng decided to keep them as well. It would also increase the overall population of the village and increase the manpower of the village.
Yang Feng then arranged fifteen goblins, three warriors and Guang Jian to protect these people and their valuable things which would only slow them down if they were to bring the things with them. Yang Feng also left the supplies which were stored in the store for them to survive but gave his soldiers food which would last at least for a day just in case.
Yang Feng then ordered all of his soldiers to head for another base of the bandits. Yang Feng planned to destroy at least three bandits base before he left. He had already destroyed one base so he headed towards another nearest bandit base which lied in the East.
When Yang Feng reached their base they found out the base had more than 20 bandits so they waited till night to attack them. If they were to attack them in day then would suffer casualties which would slow down their advancement towards another bandit's base.
When the night descended and the bandits went to sleep. They didn't immediately charge and waited for an hour for the bandits to completely let their guard down. Six bandits were placed as night guards but shortly after they were killed by the arrows fired by Chen An and other archers. The bandits who were sleeping didn't notice anything as such Yang Feng told eight of his soldiers to take off their armour to reduce the noise and silently sneaked inside their base with those eight soldiers and seventeen goblins who were equipped with daggers and spears looted from those bandits.
When Yang Feng and his soldiers were ready they immediately slashed the neck of those the bandits and killing them while they were sleeping. Their leader was captured in the bedroom with two women while all of the bandits were killed. The leader and tried to resist but his hand had been cut off by one of the soldiers. They also had captured thirty slaves and looted exactly 230 gold coins and some weapons. Yang Feng was disappointed when he couldn't find any valuable things. Yang Feng sighed and said "I guess my luck has run out" but he couldn't complain due to the loot and 'Treasure' he got from the previous bandit's base. The leader was totally useless to him so he decided to kill like previous but when he was about to kill him, Ling tian caught the blade with his bare hand stopping him from killing the bandit leader which surprised Yang Feng who confused by his action.
