Chương 37: Chapter 37

The wounds on his side were the ones causing him the most pain. Every time he extended his leg forward, his muscles twitch where the injury was. He could vaguely tell that it had closed, the sense of his body was stronger then when he had in his previous life. It made sense to him, the fact that the smallest injuries could kill him even better then when he was a human.

His mother's presence reassuring him as they moved back to where they had made their home. Azure was finally out of the mound of fluff that the vixens had formed. Her tail was swaying, looking like a dog happy to see it's owner coming. She quietly yipped, excited to see him. Only, she seemed to notice his injuries a moment later, coming around to see where his fur had been matted by the flow of his blood.

The little vixen seemed to realize that it he needed to be washed. The impromptu bath by her, was like a waterfall falling over him, sending all of his dirt off, and joining with both his and the rat's blood. The outside of the cave turning muddy, the grass almost looking like they were weathering a storm, he realizes idly. She moves around to his face again, looking proud, "Praise me! Praise me!"

The little vixen had started to look for compliments whenever possible. Even if they were helping to have a bit of fighting with her sister. The wolf shakes his head a little, chuckling as Syren watches on amused. The little wolf presses his nose against Azures forehead, "You did good. I need to rest though, you and your sister have to much energy." He says, moving to add a little teasing.

Nadia and Lapis had moved up, looking towards the entrance, slightly amused, with Lapis a little angry about the fact that she was being included. Tortuga, their tired 'mount' was shifting a little, looking at him. Looking him over it seemed content with what it found, moving back to sleep.

He chuckles, moving and comes to rest on the hard shell of the tortoise. After a moment, the vixens go back to what they were wanting to do. Azure starting to pull at her mother and sister's tail, wanting to go hunt for something.

Syren assists a little, knocking the pair off the top of the shell, claiming it as her place to rest for now. He moves to getting himself back to resting. His mind moves inward, not really trying to escape the pain, but more curious about the rat that he had captured. It seemed to have decided to make a nest on the main island, what was more curious, was the fact that there seemed to be more of everything he had previously. There even, amazingly, another of the deer's. It seemed that they had been having a strange little chemistry. Almost like they divided like a cell.

It was a good thing to know, they didn't really need to find a pair of animals, all he really needed was a single one, and it could repopulate without intervention. Though, it seemed like a it had thinned some of the energy around, but it was slowly rebuilding, going back to purifying his bones, his legs were almost to the end. The fact that it moved up from his back to his spine wasn't lost on him. It was curious about the fact that it didn't start with his most important set of bones.

There was a scarring on the sky of his world, it looked like blood was turning into a stream of starts about the night sky. Painting it red for the moment. The worrisome fact his body's injuries affected the planets sky was not lost on him, it could have been pierced if there was a horn or antlers that had managed to injure him.

Since there wasn't much to do, except observe, or interact with his world. He decided that it was the best time to create a little area to practice. Using the needles had been what had turned the tide for him during the solo fight. And he knew that he only practiced with the one attack.

To set up a good practice area, he decides to place it as the moon, letting it form a circular form, the practice side was on the back, with the 'front' constantly facing towards the world inside of him. The slow rotation of the moon was strangely easy to manage. It seemed like every day it would be a way to mark the time of day, if someone was looking down from what would be considered space.

He designs the practice area with two targets on opposite sides of the moon. They were resting on the poles, one on south, and one north. There isn't really anything else, having an empty space, formed with smooth granite. One large piece, but, while the wolf looks on it, he realizes the fact that he would have a slippery surface instead of good traction. The fact that hadn't really had, adverse, conditions.

His work was interrupted by a twinge of pain, it was the first time that he had realized that his senses were still connected, even if he was trying to focus inward. He pushes the pain aside, he knew he was injured, and currently, the sense wasn't of use to him. He knew it was sometimes useful, but he wasn't going to let it stop him from doing something to improve himself.

It wasn't hard to figure out something that would work for the ground. He had plenty of dirt and stones that he could breaks up. He thinks about trying to grind up the stones like sand. His head shakes, remembering getting sand stuck in his crack. He moves to break up the stones into gravel, careful to keep the sharp edges away from the top. Once his feet stand on the surface, the feel of shifting stones, that didn't hurt, but when he moved, it wasn't steady steps, but a little sliding.

Only a thought of using something to hold them down was quickly forgotten. He had no ingredients to make them, unless he used the dirt. He quickly covers the surface in a layer of dirt and grass, knowing it will let him stay still on this new training area. He sighs happy with the new addition, the fact that he only has a couple of targets, instead of something to fight against. He takes a moment to move back, looking onto it with a little stare.
