Renna positioned herself in a comfy posture as the lady half laid in the sofa, she could not help but to stay back and watch the lady unleashing her words at Mr Morris.
"Oh dear, you must be hungry. Come and have lunch with us, by the way where are you from?"
Cara stood up from the sofa and walked towards the kitchen, the old lady was hospitable and generous enough that she proposed to Renna.
That was the one of the reasons for which Renna Amaryllis stepped into those four walls.
While the two ladies were sharing dialogues, Mr Morris threw his head back and scrunched shut his eyes.
Perhaps the poor cab driver was playing dead, Renna could see sweat beads around his temples, dripping down his neck.
Renna already knew that she had frightened the poor old man enough, and her arrival in his household had induced a life and death situation for him.
The old lady did not notice or judge Renna by her bold appearance rather offered her a meal, which was Renna's intention to barge into the man's house.
"Yes, sure. That's so sweet of you ma'am. I will stay for lunch if you are insisting."
Renna giggled and replied to Cara, while she was in the kitchen and Renna Amaryllis was keeping herself cozy.
"No!"
Cara emerged from the kitchen door while holding a spoon in her right, which she waved at Renna in a stern tone.
"No, I'm not insisting but ordering you, young lady!"
Cara's voice turned into a whisper which was intended only to reach Renna.
"Consider it as my gratitude, err…"
The lady suddenly realized that she did not know Renna's name, and the young woman did not answer her about the whereabouts.
Of course, Cara should have inquired about Renna or shooed the lady off from the main ingress.
"By the way, what is your name, young lady? And you still did not disclose me your whereabouts, tell me anything about you."
Cara rattled out a non stick pan, while her voice reached Renna's ears. The old woman was aware that her husband used to take a nap after coming home for lunch at afternoon.
But perhaps today he could not sleep and the snake- y chill crept into his body.
"Oh? I'm just a new person in the city and my name is Renna Amaryllis and originally I'm from abroad. Well, I needed somewhere cheap to live but got into a ruckus with those thugs."
Renna narrated a whole story which was of course just an immediate build up. Well, of course, she was from abroad but did she really need some cheap place to hide? Was she really that needy despite having a black card?
"Oh? That is good, regarding a stay I believe Morris can help you. After having lunch, let's go and look for an apartment for your stay, okay?"
Cara was continuously speaking without a pause, while her hands were working on the dishes. Renna could see through the window that Cara was an expert in cooking, as she was still talking while handling the chores.
"Would you mind an apartment near us? I really like you, young lady, stay close to us. Morris and I will find a decent shelter for you."
Cara sounded considerate, a sharp woman like Renna Amaryllis could easily see through everyone's expressions and sweet talks but Cara was just an ordinary generous woman.
"Don't worry Mr Morris, I would not do any harm to you or your wife. Aunt is sweet, won't you help her in the kitchen?"
Renna sighed and informed him.
Renna needed something to shoo off the old man and now she already had something to control him. Mr Morris immediately snapped open his eyes and then again blankly stared at Renna, many mixed emotions graced his face which could not be concluded.
"Y- yeah, yeah!"
Mr Morris detached his back from the sofa and shot up from his seat, and moved towards the kitchen, nearly the oldman ran out of the lounge.
Renna giggled and yelled to Cara.
"Aunt? Keep the dishes spicy, aunt! And don't cook something special, no need for it."
"Sure, sure. Red wine, huh? Would not be a suit option, right? Ahh, let's just keep soft drinks."
Renna giggled inwardly and her heart pumped once feeling the warmth, skipped a beat at the sight of Cara.
If she had seen the love of a mother!
Renna could not comprehend that how did her brain click at the very thought, but it filled her heart with love.
"Yes aunt, whatever you want and is available."
The witty lady composed herself and replied.
If she had seen her parents behaving like this!
If she had grown up in a happy household!
