Chương 15: Clues
REESE watched as the sun set in front of her very own eyes.
Her heart's beating so loud and she slowly drove the car from where she is meeting Kier privately.
The street lights opened one by one as the darkness slowly entered the sky.
The car's lights glistened on Reese's eyes and she knew that from this day onwards, everything will change on Reese's way.
She will start everything slowly and planned, this is the day she won't let things go crazy with her very own eyes.
Reese already made Severus settle things about the money he gave her mother and that money her mother received will stand as her debt to the Lim family.
Reese won't allow her own mother to outsmart and make use of her again.
Reese stopped the car in front of the restaurant that Kier and her would be meeting up.
Reese took her clutch bag and she went inside the restaurant.
The restaurant was in serene, the classical music welcomed Reese ears.
There were only a few customers taking their dinners in such a high-class restaurant.
A well-groomed receptionist welcomed her and politeness shouts on the receptionist's gesture.
"Good evening, ma'am. May I know if you have a reservation?" The receptionist politely asked her.
"I have a friend who reserved a private room for two people. It was named under Kier Rivero."
The receptionist looked at the tab and smiled as soon as she saw the reservation she mentioned.
"I see, this way, ma'am." She led the way with an open palm and all Reese did was to follow her.
As soon as they arrived at the room, they opened it for her and Reese saw Kier sitting with a wine glass in hand.
Reese entered the room and as soon as they closed the door.
Reese took a seat on a vacant seat across Kier's seat.

"You asked to meet me at such a place with secured privacy ." Panimula nito at nanatiling nakasandal sa inuupan niya na komportable.
"This is the first you asked me out, Reese. You need me for something?" Dagdag nito sa kanya.
"I need answers. I need information about the things I happen to experience." Deretsong wika ni Reese. "You have a clue, right? Or maybe, you know the answer."
"Then let me ask you one thing first," Wika ni Kier at nginisihan siya. "Does your husband know that you're meeting me in private?"
"No he does not." Deretsong sagot niya. "Bakit? Anong kinalaman ni Severus sa tanong ko?" Dagdag na tanong niya kay Kier.
Kier gave her a faint laugh and looked at her as if he's mocking Reese.
"Then he also does not have a clue how her wife drinks blood like it's her hydration of water and those bloodthirsty murders that's been unsolved since the day it was getting investigated on. He has no idea that he married a bloodsucking monster ---"
"Say another fucking insulting word and I'll choke you to death." Seryosong wika ni Reese at matamaang tiningnan ni Kier. "I'm not playing with you, Kier. I need you to be serious in this situation, I need answers! I don't need your insults or whatsoever complains."
"Okay, okay. I understand what you're pointing, Mrs. Lim." Wika ni Kier, "Gusto kong malaman 'yung rason kung bakit sa tingin mo maibibigay ko sa'yo 'yung sagot na hinahanap mo. There must be a reason, Reese and I want to know about it."
"You already gave me hints from the very start we met." Sagot niya at sinalinan ang sarili niyang wine glass ng red wine.
"Dagdag na lang sa rason ko 'yung pagbibigay mo ng cranberry juice sa'kin." Dagdag na paliwanag ni Reese kay Kier.
Kier tsked. "You're a clever girl, Reese, but not clever enough." Anito, "I already advised you to ask your grandfather about it, now look at you… you're still clueless to every single thing you have around with you."
Her grandfather? How would she have the chance to ask him about these things?
Hindi niya alam kung kailan babalik ang lolo niya mula sa Italya, he's been there trying his best to have his health back to normal.

"How the hell did you know about it?" Pagtatanong ni Reese kay Kier at bakas ang pagkakagulo niya sa sitwasyon sa pagitan nilang dalawa ng binata.
"Which do you think is most important?" Kier asked her with a smirk. "The fact that I know the skeletons in your parents closet or the fact that your grandfather knows something behind your existence?"
Reese looked at Kier and she gripped at her clutch bag tightly.
Kier Rivero is not just someone who knows her, but this guy definitely knows everything about her and even the existence she's been trying to find.
He is a big weapon for her existence.
Reese sighed and she took the pendant the eerie man left at her balcony.

"Do you know about the owner of this necklace?" Pagtatanong ni Reese kay Kier.
Kier just looked at the necklace and he did not even touch the thing.
"Where did you get this?"
"A strange man just appeared on my room's balcony in the middle of the night and tried to strangle me to death." Pagkukuwento ni Reese, "He told me that I killed someone and he wants to kill me because of it."
Tumayo si Kier sa kinauupuan niya. "Things are getting dangerous for you, huh?" Hindi makapaniwala na wika ni Kier. "Keep that thing as a memento from a person you'll meet again."
Kinuha ulit ni Reese ang necklace at binalik sa bag na dala-dala niya.
She looked at Kier with confused eyes, "What did you mean by that?"

"There are things you can't hide and there are secrets that won't be kept for a very long time because eventually, it will reveal itself."
Reese stood up from where she was sitting and she faced Kier.
"I guess you are not willing to tell me anything. You've been changing one question to another, wala nang mapatutunguhan ang pinag-uusapan natin." Wika niya at kumuha ng pera sa wallet niya at nilapag sa lamesa at tinalikuran ito.
She was about to leave the room when Kier suddenly talked.
"Find out everything, Reese. Once you face the truth, the answers you are looking for will come to you by itself. Be careful of your surroundings, he might come back for you and for that necklace."
"Thank you for that advice, I'll keep that in mind." Reese opened the door, "See you." Paalam niya at kaagad na dumeretso palabas si Reese ng inukupa nilang dalawa ni Kier.
