Chương 17: Pewter GYM
Sorry for no updates, just got over a sickness! Here is the chapter, hope you enjoy.

I woke up the next morning and returned all my Pokemon to their balls except Pikachu and we exited the forest and re-entered Pewter City. Pikachu decides to wear my hat today so I feel the wind pick up through my hair.
Upon entering the city I really began to take in the surroundings this time. After living in Pallet Town for so long I haven't go to a real city yet. It's mostly the same as Earth with skyscrapers all around and cars as well. The games made it look so small in comparison as it's almost twice the size of Viridian.
I walk through the city blocks headed towards the GYM.
After about 20 minutes of walking we arrive at the GYM. The GYM is exactly like the show, ugly as hell. The building front is a bit away from the city and it's appearance is basically a large square slab of rock with an off centered 'Pewter GYM' off to the top left of the slab with the entrance centered evenly below, the rest of the GYM is surrounded by orange high beams on the sides boxing it in.
I shake my head while thinking these people have no aesthetic and enter through the door.
I arrive in the GYM to see some people inside.
Before I speak to them I see a slab by the entrance with a list of names on it. I move in closer and realize it is a list of trainers who have defeated the GYM. I begin to read off the list and it is unexpectedly very old!

'...Samuel Oak...'
'...Agatha Kikuko.....'
'.....'
'...Bruno Siba....'
'...Lorelei Kanna...'
'....'
'....'
'...Daisy Oak....'
'...Darius Sakaki....'
Damn! So many people! The list has hundred of names that go on for a long time!
"Hey are you here to challenge the GYM?"
I don't notice someone calling out to me as I am too engrossed at looking for names I would recognize from the sign.
"Hey!" Someone yells out at me while placing a hand on my shoulder.
I flinch before looking back at him and recognize who he is. I see a tan skinned boy with brown spiky hair, an orange t-shirt, brown cargo pants and hiking boots, his most notable feature is his squinted eyes that make you think their closed.
"Ah, sorry I didn't hear you." I say while rubbing my neck.
"It's alright, I just wanted to ask if you are here to challenge the gym?"
"Hm? Ah! Yes I am."
"Hehe, well nice to meet you I'm Brock. My father is the GYM leader here."
"Nice to meet you Brock, I am Alex. Is the GYM available to be challenged today?"
"Yeah just come on back."
I follow him towards the back of the GYM by the stadium.
"Oi Brock! New challenger?"
I look over towards the voice and see a man who looks like an aged version of Brock.
"Yeah, dad."
He walks over to me and asks, "You here to challenge the GYM?"
"Yeah I came from Pallet Town, Nice to meet you."
He reaches out to shake my hand and I do as well.
"Flint."
"Alex."
We finish shaking hands and he asks, "Are you ready to battle now?"
"Yeah, I just came after a night of rest."
"Alright, then lets get started, I hope you don't try to beat me with just a Pikachu."
"Hehe, don't worry I'll save the best for last."
He gives me a smile and says, "Alright head to the end of the battlefield and we'll get started."
I head there and notice Brock ran back inside only to slowly come out with the rest of his 9 siblings.
Damn this guy can pump them out like no other.
I arrive at the end of the battlefield and wait for Brock to start referee.
He steps up to the podium and begins, "Alright this will be a 3 on 3 battle between the Challenger Alex and the GYM Leader Flint! The GYM Leader will select his Pokemon first, Begin!"
