Chương 23: To the capital
*Stretch* hmmmmm its a good morning! Jumping out of bed I quickly change into the dress I bought yesterday. Taking my time to ready myself I look back at the bed.
On the bed is a tied up Tia. She became very pushy last night so I did what any normal person would. I tied her to the bed and slept in my own. I even got support from dragon.
After she had helped Tia dress me up she went to her own bed after taking a glance at me. Then Tia tried something else that dragon didn't seem to agree with so she handed me some rope. Where she got it from I don't know but we tied Tia up nonetheless. She looked quite funny.
Anyways I believe we'll be moving onto the capital now. It won't take too long from what I've been told so we need to set off as soon as possible to hopefully get there in a day or two.
"Hey Tia it's time to get up."
*Sniff* "Your so cruel Anna, you tied me up all night"
Looking at Tia she had tears eyes and had a pout. She looks cute but I'm not letting the grudge of last night going to be let off that easily.
"I'll untie you but you if you try anything again I'll keep the ropes on until we reach the capital."
"Ugh, fine."
After I undid the ropes we all headed down to have our breakfast before setting off back on the road. We had managed to get a carriage and a pair of magical horses to pull them. With our estimates we, or at least dragon, predicts we'll arrive at the capital in about 2 days travel.
Back on the road we enjoy our travel. Now that we are within the Eldran territory things like magical beast attacks and even bandits are a lower possibility. Eldran is actually a very safe country compared to others that surround them.
*Chirp* we once again relax as we listen to the birds that chirp. The country of Eldran has many parts to it. However the most common but beautiful sights you'll find here are the beautiful architecture on the elven cities or the countryside that surround them. It's a very beautiful country that brings a warm feeling with it.
The roads of Eldran for the most part are also well maintained. Most of the roads other than the ones that are placed near the borders and made of smooth stone. They allow for a more smooth travel and a lesser chance of getting stuck on mud. Many soldiers patrol these roads that are paid by the royal family. Of course it's actually taxes that pay for them but no one complains especially the merchants.
Like this we travelled for a hours before taking a quick break and to let the horses rest. We haven't encountered any problem and we've had a peaceful ride with us talking about little things. This also allowed me to learn and get up to date on all the etiquette of the elves and the current world news.
The war so far hasn't had many major events happen in terms of occupied territory. The biggest event that did happen was that the orcs had managed to piss of a dragon that was sleeping in a cave in the human territory. It had been there before the war started and the orcs managed to somehow stumble upon on it. Now instead of doing the most normal thing of backing off slowly they attacked it instead. It wiped out all the attackers and would have left the orcs open to a human assault but the dragon had other ideas.
It instead attacked both sides essentially disabling both sides as neither side was ready for a dragon to attack. This single event caused the deaths of 10,000 troops on both sides and was the single largest death count after my single attack that had supposedly killed around 3,000 humans. The war overall has killed potentially over a million people so far but there hasn't been one major assault from either side unlike that of my worlds World War One.
Anyways only minor assaults consisting of only a thousand troops attacking at one time is done. However they happen way more regularly than the world war of my world so that explains the large casualties.
That's all for the war news and that will more than likely be all that happens for a few years unless a major invention comes into play like tanks.
*Bump* "Ow! *Sigh* although these roads are well maintained it doesn't stop small rocks from finding there way onto the roads"
Tia complains while she rubs her behind. I smile but hide it behind my hand. Well we should be arriving soon anyways at our first camping spot. We've decided on setting up the camp now and continuing the journey the next day.
Pulling up to the side of the road we set everything up. We don't have much to do other than setting up the tents, getting the fire up and cooking the food.
*Crackle* sitting around the fire we sit in silence. It's not an uncomfortable silence but more of a calm and enjoyable silence. The fire dances as stare at it. I think back to all the ones I've had since arriving and I have loved every minute of it. I hope that my journey continues like this.

CrimsonNinja Um... where to start I guess. I’m sorry for the late upload on the chapters but I’ve been busy. Between doing coursework and preparing for tests I’ve been kind of stretched for time. So I’m sorry but I’ve been quite busy and still am so I won’t be able to continue regular chapters for a while but as soon as I am I will work on the chapters again so I’ll see you guys next time!
