Chương 15: Reward

Walking towards the huge corpse of the snake, Lori knew that this snake would be very valuable to him. Its hard scales would be very good for creating an armor. While its meat is very good to eat as long as the poison inside the body was removed.

But before he stores the corpse inside his space ring, Lori leans forward and picks up something from the head of the beast.

It was a small crystal the same size of his fist. This was the magical beast core of the Eight-eyed Corrosive Snake. This is the source of the power of the magical beast.

Every magical beast has its own beast core. This beast core is the source of their powers and abilities. The magical beast core contains a lot of energy that is very useful to a warrior or mages. By absorbing the energy stored inside the beast core, it can increase their strength. That is why a magical beast core especially those that came from a high-rank magical beast is considered as a treasure to anyone.

"System, can I absorb the energy stored inside this magical beast core?" knowing the importance of the beast core, Lori asked the system. If he could absorb the energy stored inside, maybe he can get stronger.

But the system's answer disappoints him.

Ding! Host, because your body couldn't store any energy from this world. This magical beast core is useless to you. But, if you exchange it in the system. The system can give you one chance of random summon. But the rank of the summon won't is only up to Rank AA!

Sure enough, when Lori heard that he cant use it he was a little upset. But he already expected such an answer, he just wanted to make sure. However, when he heard that he could use it to exchange for a summon in the system. His expression immediately brightens and he smiles widely.

"I will just use it later"

"Father, why are you smiling?" a lovely voice sounded and Mia who just finished eating the fruits Lori gave to her asked curiously. She felt that her father was acting weird because he was smiling by himself.

Being called father again, Lori felt a little depressed. But staring at the lovely appearance of the little girl he thought that it is alright. Hey, he got a dragon as his daughter. It isn't that bad.

Touching the head of the little girl, Lori smiles, "Father just felt lucky to have a daughter like you"

"Now that we finished exploring this cave, its time to leave"

Lori holds Mia's little hand and leaves the room.

Mountain Cloud City

When the three arrived at the city, the restless people were visible to his eyes. The guards were carrying weapons running around preparing for the invading barbarians. From the look in their faces, it was clear that they were a little bit tense and anxious. Because they knew that their people were very little compared to the numbers of the barbarians reported.

Returning to the mansion and after arranging someone to take care of Mia, Lori returned to his own room.

"System, I want to claim the reward for the mission" now that he had finished exploring the cave. It was now time to claim his reward. This would be Lori's foundation to become strong.

Reward: A random bloodline from Naruto World!

Ding! Congratulations to the host for receiving the Senju Bloodline. With this bloodline, the host can master different types of ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. Each skill would be transplanted automatically by the system inside the host's brain. This procedure might last for several hours and reminding the host that this would be a little painful!

After the system's voice disappeared, Lori's head was suddenly hit by a painful sensation. Not only that, his whole body turns red and sweat came out in every pore of his body. He felt that his whole body was burning. Lori gritted his teeth as to not leak any voice from his mouth. Since he came into this world, this is the first time Lori felt something like this.

His appearance right now is very ugly as veins all over his body were visible from his skin. He looks like a red monster.

Meanwhile, in the far north of the Mountain Cloud City, the barbarians were now preparing to move.

"Everyone! We will now head towards the Mountain Cloud City. Make sure that your weapons are sharp because we came here to kill!" a man carrying a huge axe from his back shouted. His eyes were vicious like a beast and a long scar ran down across his left eye. His name was Khof Lu, and he was the son of the man who attacked the city 10 years ago. He now came here to accomplish what his father failed to do. And that is to destroy the Mountain Cloud City.

The barbarians shouted loudly when they heard Khof's words. Each one of them was here to accompany Khof for his goal.

"With Lord Khof, those tender people definitely have no chance of fighting against us!" a barbarian shouted.

"I heard from my father that the people in the city were thin. They are all tender people"

"Yeah, my father also said that. But he said that the woman in the city was beautiful. After we kill all the men in the city, I will take several women to play"

The barbarians laugh as they talk with each other. They all thought that those who live in the cities were weak. Because they were thin and didn't have a huge and muscular build like them. All of them were confident that they could easily run over the city.

Watching his men talk about the city, a smile appeared in Khof's face. For him being confident is a good thing. Because it can increase the morale of his troops.

"Father told me to not underestimate those city people and carefully plan the attack" Khof sneered at the words of his father. For him, the reason that his father failed in the past was not that the city people were strong. But because his father was weak.

However, he was different from his father. Since he was young, Khof was praised by everyone as a genius. He was strong and a very capable young man as he grew up. Even the warriors older than him in their tribe was no match for his strength. Khof grew up not knowing defeat, and he knew that he would continue being undefeated in his life.

'Mountain Cloud City is only the first step. After I conquer that city, my next target would be the capital of the kingdom' an ambitious thought appeared in his head. He was already imagining himself being called a king and being surrounded by a countless beautiful woman.
