Chương 35: Feather earring
"What are you looking at?"
Shaking his head and not saying anything since he was previously thinking about how she would look in the normal modern clothes instead of such ancient ones,
Narrowing her eyes because for some reason she felt that the boy was thinking something perverted about her, Isis who knew that she'd never be able to go against this boy or refuse anything he asked for took a step back and covered her breasts with her arms.
"I.... "
Changing her sentence midway to not show any signs of being nervous, Isis asked, "What kind of a name is Axel? Couldn't those five think if a better name?"
Groaning since he himself didn't know how many times he asked himself the same question, Axel said, "They didn't want my name to be part of any of their mythologies due to which they chose a neutral one."
"Tsk. In that case, they should've named you Horus."
Rolling his eyes Axel said, "Tell them that yourself when you meet them."
"Oh? Are we going to meet them now?"
Shaking his head, Axel said, "We can't meet them whenever we feel like for no proper reason. You should know why, right?"
Nodding her head seriously because unlike her who was born on Earth this time and made a bond with Axel, the other Gods and Goddesses couldn't just carelessly wander onto Earth without raising suspicion and obtain the attention of the other Deities.
"Then what do you plan on doing for now? Start cultivating?"
Even though Axel did want to start cultivating right away, he said, "We're going to leave this country for now. Getting caught by your men is the last thing I want right now."
Not saying anything since Axel's life and future were her most important priority right now, Isis who had always supported the one she first saw in her previous three lives hoped that Axel would be someone better than the three of them.
Though considering the fact that two of them were Gods and the other one a mortal King who was blessed with strength, Axel's starting point by itself seemed very far away from them right now.
However, considering his backing it didn't look like he'd stay a mortal forever and even possibly became the first-ever human who managed to become a Deity.
To do that though she needed to help him train from the very beginning.
After all, just one look at him was enough to tell that all he had with himself was theoretical knowledge and zero practical experience.
This was very evident with just the way he stood and exposed so many of his openings.
But since she herself wasn't someone who excelled in close combat but rather in magic, Isis chose to just help him train his physical body and increase his raw power while helping him with his cultivation for now.
As for teaching him combat, she already had someone in her mind. And that person would come find Axel herself in the near future.
Therefore, after looking at the boy from the top to bottom, Isis quickly decided on how she was going to help him.
Since she couldn't very well stay in her real form the entire time and walk beside him, Isis decided to change her form into something which Axel could carry with him at all times.
She originally wanted to then into a bracelet, and then maybe a ring, but since he already had them, and she very well couldn't turn into a gauntlet or any of those which would attract too much attention in this age and time, she decided to turn into something else.
Walking close to Axel who was still observing her beautiful countenance, Isis while feeling proud of herself caught the boy's face with her hands and turned it to the side.
Bending her face and bringing her mouth near his ear, Isis parted her lips and used her teeth to gently bite onto his earlobe just enough to cause a little blood to appear.
When this happened, her tongue flicked the small cut on his earlobe and immediately sucked the drop of blood inside herself along with which her entire body began brightly shining once again.
Closing his eyes from the bright blinding light, by the time Axel opened his eyes once again, Isis was no longer in the room with his.
But, following his senses which pointed towards Isis due to the connection he had with her, Axel unconsciously raised his hand to touch an object on his ear which wasn't there until now.
Moving in front of a mirror, Axel was truly shocked from what Isis had turned herself into.
On his ear right now was a mix of green and blue coloured gem from which a golden coloured feather was hanging.
An earring....
Bitterly smiling at how there was one more piece of jewellery on his body now other than the ring and bracelet, Axel felt a little happy that all of them went along with his appearance and didn't make him look too weird.
If anything, the earring Isis turned into gave him a mysterious feeling which he was sure that all women would find very attractive.
"Isis?"
"From now on begins your training, young one. We'll focus on increasing the raw strength of your physical body. Ready?"
Not waiting for a reply, Isis got to work and caused the golden feather earring shine in the mirror after which Axel immediately felt weak.
No not weak. In fact, it wasn't even exhaustion.
What he felt was burdensome weight.
It seems as if he had suddenly grown twice as heavy due to which he almost fell to his knees right away while it became hard to breath as well.
