Chương 22: Chapter 21 Origins - Separation
The first initial smash on the barrier, had drained DuLi's energy, and all his magic and power had depleted. DuLi had to find a secluded space in secret to rest for a time to recover and cultivate for the second attack. He did not let anyone follow him as from his experience, he did not trust anyone in this kidnapping assignment, from attacking him at his weakest time. During this time, battles ceased and both the Celestials and Gold Peach clan felt they had to be given a reprieve. The clanmen took this opportunity and worked together to uproot the sacred Tree of Life relentlessly, as the roots were very deep as though they were part of the mountains. With much care, removing a tiny root hair per root hair from the ground, they slowly work on the uprooting, not wanting to injure the Tree of Life.
Within the grounds, Huang LiWei was found, body curled up to the side, with the Tree of Life roots entwining to his lower body half. His legs regenerated halfway, looking at the moment like an infant, pudgy and small. HeQiu, after hundred of years apart and even though she could not forgive Huang LiWei actions, finally being so close with her husband again finally, could not help but be emotional. However their reunion had to be shortened and she agreed for Huang LiWei to receive continuation of repair and to be buried in the new mountain in their new Heaven abode.
After wrapping silk around the sacred Tree of Life roots, they wrap with another layer of the soft fabric made of Gold Peach Fairies hair. The fairies' hair was able to spin and weaved into a soft fabric that is indestructible and no elements known able to hurt the wearer. The wives had over the years, made a shirt and scarf for their husbands to wear and to protect their vulnerable areas. The clansmen wore their shirt armor underneath their robes. Unlike High Gods and Gods, who can regain immortality even after mortal death by preserving their spirit, as immortals, they were still prone to die if heavily and mortally wounded to their heart and neck. Socks were made to the clansmen could travel in any climates and even on hottest flames, such as the breaking into the Underworld and its flames.
Soft silky hair that had turned to gold threads were collected over the time, were draped on the tree, from the leaves to the roots. Once the Tree was protected, the clansmen did what they never done before- they lowered the defense mechanisms and asked the celestials Guards to come inside to assist them with the moving of their Tree of Life.
Some of the clan members refused to move to Heavens and planned to find another location to reside in. These members were Li YiKuang couple, HuoYue couple and Lim HeQiu, their faces were never shown to Heavens, and the clan respected their wishes as they hoped one day they could live freely together too. Lim HeQiu did not know what Heavens would be like but she did not want to feel like she was caged like she was in the human realm. She told her parents, she would be with HuoYue couple for a while, since LiXue was very close to their twins, and would return back to their side when LiXue was older. The members hugged, they knew they would easily visit one another, so farewell was temporary. The ones staying behind, the men turned the group invisible and went to an obscure corner, and watched the other clansmen calling for assistance to move the tree.
Watching tearfully for their clan and their sacred Tree of Life leaving their homeland, YueMi caught sight that a sacred fruit of immortality just fell out of the crate, that was transported by a celestial guard. She knew the importance of staying hidden together, but she wanted to take back the fruit. She whispered to her twin sister, MiYue, to cover for her, while she quickly retrieves the fruit, then she sprinted towards the fruit that rolled down the mountains. LiXue saw her impulsiveness and followed her.
Just when they were about to pick up the fruit, that had rolled to the bottom of the mountain, MiYue gave out a soundless scream. A giant black form of a overly large wolf had scaled up the mountains. The two young fairies easily detected his hidden presence, an immortal detector themselves, but the alien being was completely foreign to them. They knew all beings in the mountain, and there were never a ferocious being allowed in to dwell inside the area, it was their first time encountering such a demon.
The black scary dragon wolf was DuLi in his animal demon shape, and he was a special demon specie, one of a kind, his long sharp fangs and claws made him look monstrously and scaring the wits out of the sheltered fairies in front of him now.
If it was a fight or flee situation, the Gold Peach Fairies were always thought to flee and ring their bell. LiXue was entranced with the massive wolf with its sleek raw beauty and unconsciously ignoring her younger cousin's panic mode that was spiralling into high stress. YueMi, in her sheer terror, flung LiXue and broke into a sprint, and in return, breaking LiXue's trance and LiXue finally took out the bell and rang for help. Suddenly YueMi tripped and without the complete barrier in full strength mode, fell and was in risk to fall down into the abyss, when LiXue using a tree's vines to grab on YueMi sleeves.
The large scaly dragon wolf that was still, sprang into action and latched onto LiXue as the vines broke. YueMi saw DuLi, a monster in her mind, screamed and pulled LiXue, making her lost her footing and depended on DuLi for safety.
Rushing to scene and with their invisible mode, once detecting a strong demon presence, HuoYue and Li YiKuang instantly attacked DuLi once they saw LiXue's sleeves in his sharp jaws. DuLi not letting go LiXue as both females might fall to their demise or into the midst of the demon soldiers, both not very ideal. DuLi not knowing where his attackers were, used his jaws to pull up both ladies, which was an easy feat but his action was seen as a threat to the girls.
HuoYue tried to grab his youngest daughter and his niece; Li YiKuang used his magic item and shot a powerful fireworks ball that blasted DuLi. Out of instinct, DuLi grabbed LiXue and both fell into the abyss down to the lower world.
Reacting quickly to the immediate situation, Li YiKuang used another magical item and whipped a gold lasso, made with Gold Peach Fairy's hair, desperate to make contact with the falling victims, whom both are disappearing from their view. It took a few whips, like throwing a fishing line, for the magic lasso to latch on something. HuoYue, one arm on his daughter and the other helping Li YiKuang to pull the lasso, they didn't care if it was the enemy they pulled, as they knew the demon beast would not let go of his prey, XueLi. The demon beast merely changed to his human form and the lasso lost its object and went back to its master.
Preparing for the worst, and when they did see the lasso came back empty, HuoYue passed his shell-shocked daughter, who was unused and unprepared for the horrible turn of events. HuoYue nodded at his elder and jumped down to the abyss to find his niece. All clansman had magical braces to help them float and travel in air, and HuoYe, in the air, tried to detect the demon's presence but it was too wide of a range for him to find. When he finally landed on the ground, using his skills, he was unable to track both being's presence. Not giving up hope, he stayed to find his niece, only praying the beast would treasure the beast and not harm her till he found her.
It was the last time, all the clan members ever saw LiXue, and her mother, HeQiu could not take the grief, fainted and had been into a comatose state. Li YiKuang sent message to the rest of the clan using a magic shell, that each clan kept to contact each other during their trips, regarding the unfortunate news. They took turns in groups to search for LiXue, comforted the fact that LiXue was still alive from the telepathy relay their sacred Tree sent to her First daughters.
As the Tree of Life kept Huang LiWei safe and healing his injuries, Li YiKuang kept Lim HeQiu in a magic box of concealment. It was colder than the coldest frost and was only able to be opened from the inside, were Lim HeQiu was able to wake up herself, or by Gold Peach Clan members blood. Then, Lim HeQi came to pick the box back to Heavens, where he and HuiSan could protect their sleeping daughter.
Search for the missing Gold Peach Fairy ensued and soon many beings and creatures started their own search with many rumors passed around. Even in the human world, there were opportunists selling gold painted peaches, promising eternity life. Malicious words spread saying coupling with a Gold Peach Fairy was addictive and many voluptuous women were attacked, as one of the rumored Gold Peach Fairy, was to have a voluptuous figure. Many human females and demonesses, even some men disguised as female, claimed to be Gold Peach Fairy, trying to capture an admirer or protector. Many portraits were sold to high bidders, all buyers thought they purchased a Gold Peach Fairy painting. Many females, by their parents or human traffickers, were sold as Gold Peach Fairy. Males from merchants to royalty claimed to have a Gold Peach Fairy and affirmed coupling with the said fairy to be a Heavenly experience, insulting the Celestial females and the Gold Peach Clan.
All these baseless rumors made the reclusive Gold Peach Clan retreated to seclusive life, not meeting anyone in Heavens unless requested by Jade Emperor or any high ranked Gods and their celestial sons-in-law. Otherwise, they kept to themselves in their new abode, the mountain where the Tree of Life had taken root.
After the deluge of horrid rumors, soon came the deaths of the beauties and later the men who sold, bought or talked about Gold Peach Fairy. The females were killed with cold-blooded manner by those men who purchased them and found out they were fakes. The heartless men then murdered the ones who sold the fake "goods" out of shame and anger. Who killed these said men together with those who started and continued the gossip?
It was said by an innocent witness that the men were killed silently and suddenly they dropped dead.
Later it was rumored that the disappeared Gold Peach Fairy died, some searches suddenly ceased but some still continued to search relentlessly, together with the victim's clan, who never once stopped. These people who were cynical of the news of death chose to continue and who knew one would be lucky and have the most wonderful female in their possession.
