Chương 18: CHAPTER 18
As Mrs Tayo woke up in the morning firstly went to her children's room to wake them up to start dressing for school and she went to the kitchen, got something light to be cooking for the kids and her husband. Her husband too had woke up dressing up for him to get to work before the traffic.
After one hour and thirty minutes, Bolu and Titi got down to the living room with their school's game wear and their school bag in their hands, sat on the chair waiting for their school bus to arrive. Mrs Tayo had packed her husband food put it inside the car that he was taking to work and she was in the kitchen doing something; the housemaid packed the children's food put it at the living room for them. Mr Tayo got to the living room with a black bag and ready to go, his kits greeted him and replied.
"My love! Am on my way" facing the kitchen and saying louder for her to hear.
"Okay! My husband, am coming" rushed out from the kitchen to the living room.
"Take care of yourself for me! My wife"
"I will!, I want to tell you that I will go to my friend's house first before going to shop. I should have tell you seen yesterday but it escaped my mind"
"I hope no problem?"
"It's not something serious!, it's about her son Olawale that stubborn boy!"
"Okay!, tell him the truth and make him understand that this it's His father's land and he can't leave all his father's properties and go to U. S not possible"
"I will try!, and he w illl hear"
"Don't let me late!, am going! Bye!! Love you"
"Bye! My love, love you too" door opened and closed, he left the house.
"Good morning mother!" The children greeted in chorused.
"My lovely kids!, how was your night?" As with smile.
"It was fine Ma and your night too mom?" Titi asked.
"I am good! My baby, your school bus too should have arrived by now! Time is going" door opened and closed, the housemaid entered.
"Well done Ma! Their school have arrived now, so kids stand up" two of them stood up.
"Okay!, take care my kids and don't fight at school"
"Yes mom!, bye!" Two of them said and followed the housemaid out, door closed.
She went to her room to clean up her body, changed to the outfit carried the bag and left the room. Got to the living room told the housemaid to take care of the house and she left the house with car.
She arrived to her friend's house two hours she left her own house, the gate man opened the gate for her packed at the car park and got down, the gate man greeted her and she replied going in. Mrs Olotun was in the living room dressed in outfit and with her bag beside her, it was because of her friend whom called that she coming that was why she had not went to shop and she had told Olawale since yesterday that he was not going to work tomorrow did not told him any reasons and once that him too was not ready to go before not because of the green passport that was why he went at the first instance.
"Who is it?" She asked as she heard a knocked at the door.
"It's me! Your friend, Mrs Tayo"
"My friend! Come in, the door is open" door opened and closed, Mrs Olotun stood.
"Good morning!, my friend" Mrs Tayo greeted.
"Morning! My lovely friend, how are you?" Hug each others and she sat down on the chair beside her.
"Am fine! And how are you too?"
"Hi! Am good even that Olawale doesn't give me a breathing gap"
"Where is he now? Please call him for me"
"He is in his room that is where he use to stay, so what do I offer you first?"
"Leave that for now!, call him for me"
"Okay!, Olawale! Ola! Come down here now, your attention is needed!"
"Yes! Mom, I hope no problem!" Shouted from the room.
"Come out now!, my friend is here and it's because of you so stop questioning me"
"Okay! Am coming" "He will be here now and thank you for your time! My friend"
"Good morning! Ma" bed down a little bit and standing at their front.
"Morning! My son, how are you?"
"Am good Ma!, how is business going?"
"I thank God, have your seat! I want to talk to you. It's because of it that is why am here"
"I hope no problem Ma" looked at his mother.
"Just seat down and let her see you on time so that we can to our shops"
"Okay! Mom" looked at two of them and sat on the chair facing them.
"I want you to listen to me carefully and answer the questions one after the one as I am asking you, you know that I have not talk to you before!"
"Yes Ma!, I know that this is the first time"
"Good!, so listen to me carefully as I said before and answer me, as I am not gentle like your mother and that is why I am here to clear everything off!"
"Okay Ma!, am with you and hearing you" looked at his mother and her too looked at him.
"Your mother told me that you are still saying that you want to go back to U. S"
"Yes Ma!, I want to go back to United State" said with lower voice.
"Why!, I want you to tell me four good reason which want to leave your father's properties and go back"
"Ma!, the weather is bad for me and I have promised Zinara that I will come back to United State to meet her after the forty-one days and you know that promise Is a debit"
"Who is Zinara?"
"My girlfriend! Ma"
"So it's because of the weather and Zinara that is why you want to go back right?"
"Yes! Ma" his mother shook her head.
"Your father's properties who will be managing it and looking after it when you go back?"
"I have already told Mother that i will employ an agent whom his job is to manage properties on behalf of the owner even I have called one"
"You want an outsider to be controlling your father's properties for you!"
"He will be working on my behalf!" Said with loud voice.
"It doesn't make sense at all! A family or relative can't be trust when it come to the time of properties not now talk of a common agent! An outsider, no! No!! Can't work. Forget of going back to U. S completely and your girlfriend tell her to come down to Nigeria or you should find another beautiful woman here in Nigeria if she can't"
"Never!, I can't date another woman or marry someone else"
"Tell her to come! But for you to go back there forget about it, I will collect the green passport from your mother now and you can't come to my house and been asking for it"
"I will go back and no one can't stop me!" Said with anger showed all over him.
"Then go without green passport!, it's four good reason I asked you to give but it was just two you said that mean you don't have genu reasons of going back there and you can't leave your father's properties for a common agent an outsider not possible"
"I don't like all these!, it is everybody that have he or her life to live!" Said with anger, stood up and went to his room. His mother breathe in and she had fed up on his matter.
"I told you! He won't listen, if they are two now I will forget about him and he should go anywhere he like but been the only one that is what it giving me problem. How can him leave his father's properties for an outsider and go to U. S because of a lady!"
"I think may be we should find a lady for him once that it's because of lady that is why he want to go back to U. S and gradually he will be liking her and forget of going there"
"It's good idea! My friend, but how can we find a lady for him?"
"May be Sarana, Sarana! Is a beautiful woman and that will also make our own friendships to be strong than before"
"Okay!, but we have to tell them first especially Sarana and tell her the reason"
"Off course my friend!, I think that one will be better"
"Thank you my friend! And thank you for your time"
"You are welcome!, your happiness is mine. Let me start going, " stood up.
"Let go!, I too is going to shop! Olawale, I have gone" he didn't replied.
"Let me have the green passport now!" Mrs Olotun opened the handbag brought out the passport and gave it her; the two friends left the house, entered into their cars and drove out.
