Chương 44: Andalas (3)
We move our horse wagon and pass through the city's gate. There is a big street crossing the city.
I see a lot of old fashioned buildings made of brick. Apparently, the south area is a residential quarter. I can see several of Inn's wooden signs and restaurants too.
"You never come here isn't Vin?"
"Yes, Can you tell me more about this city to me? Maybe I can make a better plan for us."
"I don't know much about this city. I will tell you general information. Andalas divided into 4 quarters with City's Lord Resident in the middle of the town. The south quarter is a residential quarter. You can find a lot of Inns and Restaurants."
"On the West Quarter is slums and Red district. The guard rarely comes to that place, so the West Quarter is dangerous. You better stay away from it. You understand?"
"Yeah."
In other word, the West quarter isn't place for a child to enter. A slum is a place for bad fellows and poor people. And Red District is a place for prostitutes and brothels. Apparently, there isn't a gate on the West in this city.
Maybe because of the river?
"North quarter is a bureaucracy quarter where the city's various administrative affairs happen. The noble resident is here too."
"That's included David Wardenia?
"Yes."
"I see."
"Next is the East quarter is the merchants quarter. A lot of merchants open their stall there included our store."
"I get the gist of it."
"There are Adventurer guild and City Park to near City's Lord Resident"
"Thank you for your information."
Generally the closer we come to the center of the city, the better the quality of the building because this spot is very strategic.
Adventure comes here to pick up the request and sell the item to Adventurer Guild.
The Park is used as recreation by the citizen and adventurer. Sometimes there are some events happen here.
We continue our tour in the city until we find crossroads. We arrived in the middle of the city. I can see a luxury Mansion similar like 5 stars villa with a spacious yard in front of us. I immediately know that is the City's Lord Mansion. The mansion located on the East side of the street.
I see a two-story building with two big crossing swords drawn onto its signboard on the west of the street in opposite City's Lord Mansion. This is Adventurer Guild, isn't it?
There's a wide park beside me on the East-side. This park has a lot of big trees with grass that thrives on the ground and covered all the area.
"This is the main street, they ran from east to west and from north to south and intersecting here."
We turn right to East Quarter and we arrived on the three-story building.
"We arrived at our branch store."
Ohh, the branch store bigger than I expected. The store location is near the center of the city and that means this store is very good.
I think it's not easy to get a place in the middle of the city. Maybe they were paying a lot of money to get this spot.
After we arrived at our destination, the adventurers take a piece of paper and give that to Sam.
He takes bottle ink then he immerses his thumb inside the bottled ink and stamps the paper. He even put his signatures with the Quill Pen.
"Thank you for escorting us. We will need your help again when we finish our business here. So please stay in this city for a moment okay."
"Okay, the payment is too great and we even get proper meals. You're the best client we ever had. Just contact the Adventure Guild if you need us."
After that, the adventurers left the building and heading to Adventurer Guilds.
Maybe that paper is used to claim the reward from the mission?
Ahhhh, I want to explore this city.
But I can't go alone without guardian.I'm not confident to not get lost in this big city. There are a lot of narrow alleys too and I feel this city is very complex.
"Come on follow me."
"Yes."
It seems I spaced out for a moment. I follow him to enter the store. When I enter the store, I quite surprised by the store interior.
At first, I imagine the store will look like an indoor traditional market, but this store is different.
There are a lot of shelves filled with fruits and food. They are well organized based on their category.
Near the entrance, there is a large counter with an attendant like a cashier at the supermarket. I even see a wooden abacus near the counter.
Maybe they use it as a calculator huh.
This sure brings back memories of my previous life.
"You seem very shocked when entering our store. What's happen?
"Ah, I just never see this big building before."
I lied without hesitation.
"Fufu, our store has 3 floors you know. The first floor is for food, fruit, vegetable, daily supplies, clothing, and potions. The 2nd floor is for furniture like mattress, chair, tents pocket, a simple utensil for cooking and many tools. The 3rd floor is for Magic stone, jewelry, and rare monster body part."
"That's a lot."
"Even in the capital, our store has an auction hall you know."
He starts bragging his store
Okay please wipe off your smug face or I will kick your ass.
"Good morning Lady Sophia and Buttler Sam.
"Good morning too Tina, you can continue your work. Don't mind us."
"I understand Lady Sophia."
Sam smirks once again. He maybe feels he is superior than me huh. He is very childish.
He escorts me to see inside the store. I feel I can be lost anytime here. The shelves are higher than my body, not to mention they are looks same for me.No Instruction or map here makes me don't have a choice but follow Sam timidly. But still, this place is very big for a branch store.
"Now we will come to Lady Sophia private house. Follow me."
We go deeper into the 1st-floor store and find a door. Sam opens the door and I found a quite big house there. This house is located behind the store.
We arrived in front of the house and Sam opens the door with a key.
