Dongfang Yu's tall and manly body covered Mu Ru's petite body. It was a bit comical to see, but Mu Ru instantly felt a warmth that she had never felt before.

Mu Ru had no intimate relations. She had been abandoned by her real family, and other than Mother Wang, no one had cared about her. She would try to solve problems on her own when she would end up in troublesome situations. No one had ever helped her, and she had gotten used to the fact that no one truly loved her.

That day, she thought that she would end up having to get out of that situation by herself. However, she never expected that Dongfang Yu would come and save her. He even rushed to her side to protect her.

Mu Ru tried her best to put on a smile. However, she looked unsightly because of the thick trail of blood on her forehead.

She felt extremely uncomfortable. It was as if someone had set her body on fire. She used all her willpower to suppress her pain and discomfort. Her lips were very dry. In an almost inaudible voice, she said, "Ah Yu, is this you?"

Dongfang Yu looked at her flushed face and reached out to grab her hand. He immediately felt a burning sensation. His heart immediately thumped and he couldn't help but curse at Nangong Xun. "Nangong Xun, you deserve to die!"

"The one who deserves to die is your brother, Dongfang Mo," Nangong Xun said when Dongfang Yu reached out to hug Mu Ru. Nangong Xun reached out to stop him. In a cold and angry tone, he said, "Dongfang Yu, Mu Ru and I just got married. Tonight is our wedding night. I appreciate that you wanted to come and congratulate me. You may leave after drinking the wedding wine. You can't take Mu Ru away because she's no longer your sister-in-law."

"Get lost!" Dongfang Yu didn't have the patience to listen to Nangong Xun's nagging. He immediately bent down and hugged Mu Ru. He glared at Nangong Xun coldly. He said, "Nangong Xun, you attacked my sister-in-law while my brother wasn't in Binhai. What kind of person are you? Even if you wanted to snatch Xi Muru, you should have fought openly with my brother instead of using such dirty tricks to steal her."

"Dirty tricks?" Nangong Xun shrugged. He answered, "Dongfang Yu, what do you mean by dirty tricks? I learned those from Dongfang Mo. Four years ago, who used dirty tricks to drive the Qin family out of Binhai? Do you think that I, Nangong Xun, am still the same Qin Xun from back then? Qin Xun was so naive and gullible."

"I don't know what happened four years ago." Dongfang Yu stared at Nangong Xun and coldly said, "However, I remember what happened ten years ago very clearly. Back then, we were racing together. Who teamed up with other racers and drove me off a cliff?"

Nangong Xun laughed out loud. He stared at Dongfang Yu in surprise, and he said, "I thought you were in comatose for ten years and didn't remember anything. I didn't think you would remember everything so clearly. However, it was a race back then, and everything was done fairly. Besides, we signed an agreement before the race started. We all knew our lives were at risk as racers."

"Don't talk nonsense with me," Dongfang Yu said impatiently. He continued, "President Nangong, sorry to bother you. I want to bring my sister-in-law back now, so—"

"Do you think you can get out easily just because you were able to get in?" Nangong Xun's lips curled into a mocking smile as he coldly sized Dongfang Yu up. "What kind of place do you think I have? Did you think you can just come and go as you wish?"

"Don't tell me you want me to stay for tea?" Dongfang Yu hugged Mu Ru tightly in his arms, and he glared at Nangong Xun's face coldly.

"Why would I want to keep a man like you here? Besides, I just got married tonight. I want to consummate my marriage with my wife. If Second Young Master Dongfang wants to have tea with me, I guess he'll have to wait until tomorrow." Nangong Xun didn't care what Dongfang Yu had to say. He glared back at Dongfang Yu and shouted, "Put Mu Ru down, and you can get lost!"

"Put her down?" Dongfang Yu said. His expression darkened. He hugged Mu Ru even tighter and stared at Nangong Xun with his thick eyebrows raised. "Do you think this place of yours can stop me?"

Nangong Xun answered, "I know that you have had experience in robbing, trespassing, and jumping over walls and courtyards. You are quite the gangster." Nangong Xun picked up a glass of red wine and took a sip. He sneered and said, "You might have been able to jump on my cruise ship and enter these premises, but I can still stop you from leaving."

"What do you want?" Dongfang Yu asked impatiently. He was getting more anxious because Mu Ru was already getting hotter. He knew that whatever Nangong Xun made her drink was quickly taking effect.

Nangong Xun laughed and asked, "What do I want?" He raised his head and drank up the wine. He continued, "Tonight, I just got married to Mu Ru. Do you think I—"

Dongfang Yu interrupted him. "She's my sister-in-law. You can have anything you want except her. She is a part of the Dongfang family, and we don't give away the women of our family."

"Your woman?" Nangong Xun couldn't help but laugh. He coldly snorted and said, "Dongfang Yu, I think you are confused. The woman in your arms is not your woman, but—"

"Haven't you heard of the famous saying that an elder sister-in-law is like the mother of the family?" Dongfang Yu asked Nangong Xun. "Nangong Xun, how do you think you would treat someone who wanted to rape your own mother?"

Nangong Xun was unable to answer. He gave Dongfang Yu a thumbs-up and said, "All right, Dongfang Yu. I've always thought of you as a scum. You only go out and eat, drink, gamble, and do nothing. I didn't expect that you would have such a deep affection for her. It seems—"

"Are you done with your f*cking nonsense? Hurry up and get out of my way!" Dongfang Yu once again interrupted Nangong Xun. He held Mu Ru tightly with one arm and held the handgun tightly with his other hand. He pointed the gun at Nangong Xun. "Are you going to let us go or not?"

Nangong Xun stared at Dongfang Yu's pistol. He knew that it was loaded. He knew how different Dongfang Yu and Dongfang Mo were. Dongfang Mo was the kind who would resort to roundabout tactics while Dongfang Yu was more straightforward. He had always been a risk-taker. Even Nangong Xun knew that it would be on the losing end if he fought with Dongfang Yu head-on.

Nangong Xun felt that he had miscalculated how things could have turned out. Firstly, he did not expect that Dongfang Yu would be able to catch up to them. Besides, he had Xi Muru and not Xi Muxue. He didn't think that Dongfang Yu would go to such great lengths to rescue Mu Ru.

He also did not expect that Dongfang Yu would be able to get to his cruise ship from a yacht. It was definitely not an easy task. After all, he had so many bodyguards and watchers all over the ship. He wondered how Dongfang Yu was able to quickly surpass them.

Lastly, he did not expect that Dongfang Yu would be able to figure out a way into the bridal chamber. The only way in was through a heavy metal door with a security lock that required a password.
