Chương 4: Chapter 4 ~C-A-L-L?
When I woke up, I quickly threw on trousers and a hoodie. I grabbed my art that I made the night before and practically jumped down the stairs. I grabbed a couple of cookies and went to run out the door when my mother stopped me.
"Where do you think you're going in such a hurry?" My mum said, sounding kind of angry.
"Going out to see Will, Jack, and Alice. I want to show them something I drew last night." I said grabbing my keys and opening the door
"Jack, huh? Really, that kid is just trouble. I don't want you to get caught up in his stupid drama." she complained to me. I shook my head and walked out the door, then drove up to Trafalgar Square. I walked up to my friends, all sitting on the fountain talking. So I threw the bag of cookies down on Jack's lap and scooched him over a bit so I could sit down.
"Oi! Thanks, mate! So, what do you got there?" Jack said, biting into a cookie
"Mmm damn these are so good thank yooouu." he said, mouth full of cookie. He smiled as he chewed.
"Hey! How are you doing, Mike?" Alice smiled. I realized right before she got up to give me a hug that she was holding Will's hand. Will, oddly enough, seemed to be looking away from her in a daze.
"I'm doing quite well thank you. So, Will! You there bud? Ha! You seem like you're in space! So are you and Alice together? Is Jack being a perv like always?"
"Um I'm fine and yes Alice and I..." Will seemed to hesitate for a couple seconds when, finally, he continued "are together and Jack has supposedly lost interest in Alice, for some unknown reason. as he says"
"Oh, is that so, Jack?" I laughed at him, and he laughed with me. He explained.
"So basically picture me. Now, picture the complete opposite of me. That's who I'm dating."
"So basically short, cute, likes light or bright colors, and is decently smart. Hmmm... Am I right?" Alice smiled
"Yes! Wait, what the hell do you mean by decently smart? Alice, I would like to think I may be smarter than you, depending on the situation." Jack said back with a smirk
"Being able to pickpocket people and pick or break locks is not smarter, it's wrong," she said, shaking her head at him.
"I can solve a Rubix cube. Those things are hard, you know."
She looked at him and shook her head, then called him by his true name, Dumbass.
"Well, ok. Now that you two are done with that, let me tell you about something super crazy. You know, the demon thing."
"Yeah the one that fucks with your head, right?" Jack laughed as he bit into another cookie.
"Yeah mate, that one! Wait, it's not like there are multiple- never mind. Well, he, like, I don't know, tried to attack me but ,like, not in a dream. In real life and hmmm...I mean, my sister came in the room and he disappeared, but I still wonder what would have happened if my sister didn't come in." I took the drawings out of The Manilla envelope I had put them in and showed it to my friends. Jack looked at the drawings, then back at me with a puzzled look.
" So, I'm guessing the only word on the page other than your signature would be the thing's name or something, Right? Yeah, so I know he's a demon and stuff, but still, who the hell names their child 'Call'? Like, you just look at the baby and, like, "oh, well, you know what I'm going to call you? Oh, how about I just call you 'Call'" Jack said, laughing, while Alice looked at him like he was retarded (which he is, but we try not to bring that up).
"You can't be any dumber, can you? Its probably pronounce like Cal not Call, stupid." Alice hissed back. I corrected them.
" You're both wrong. It's pronounced as Sal, but it's spelt C-A-L-L." Jack and Alice looked at me, dumbfounded. I started laughing. While I caught my breath, Jack just looked at me with the most serious face ever.
"Why the hell would someone ever do that TO THEIR CHILD??? Like, how do you betray your kid like that??? Man, what a world."
"Not the point, Jack, but, like-" when all of a sudden, I was cut off. By Jack, of course.
"Is he cute? Like, to make up for his stupid name?" He said with a smirk.
"You're dating someone, bro, and I don't know? Maybe? What's a cute guy to you?"
"Oh you poor, straight being. Well, one, my boyfriend won't find out because I'm good at hiding things," I looked behind him. As I slowly pointed behind him to some guy, he continued. "And two, a cute boy, mate. How do you not know how to identify a cute boy?"
The guy narrowed his eyes, rolled them, then spoke.
"Find out about what?" he said in a serious tone right into Jack's ear. Jack jumped, turned to the guy, who I assumed was his boyfriend, and began to justify himself.
" 'ello love!...Nothing! I, um, love you! You know that! I really do love… you" He said with a surprising amount of innocence in his voice and face. His boyfriend sassily sat in Jack's lap. Jack then put his arms around his boyfriend and smiled. I don't know, but it was odd seeing Jack so happy for once. I mean, don't get me wrong, he's always been an exciting person and stuff like that, and he always seemed to be smiling, but the way he smiles around his boyfriend is, like, different. I don't really know how, but it just is, and it's kinda the same with Alice and Will. I kinda wish I had someone like that. Well, I drove home late because I wanted to hang out with my friends all day, then go to the store to buy a pack of soda and, like, three party-sized packs of gummy bears. I got home and sat at my desk, drawing while drinking sprite and eating gummy bears (which, by the way, is ,like, the BEST combo on Earth) when, all of a sudden, I saw a floating gummy bear, and, to be honest, I laughed a bit. Then, I hit in the direction of the floating treat.
"Hey! You just hit me, you know!…...asshole" I look over at, what I hope to be, Call.
"You literally tried to eat me yesterday, so don't even, you don't get a gummy bear, and also, I didn't call you an asshole when you tried to eat me, so be nice. Plus, I could have hit you a lot harder" All of a sudden, he became visible. He was leaning up against my desk with a hand full of gummy bears.
"Where the hell did you get those from?" I said, swiping at him. He quickly put his arm up so I couldn't get them. I stood up in front of him and laughed as I saw him crippled
"You are… really tall. Wow. I never realized that from your dreams. I stole the gummy bears from the Walmart bag next to your desk, and, um, these are mine now!" he said with a sweet smile. Then, with one swift motion, he put the hand full of gummy bears in his mouth.
"You little- fine. I'll let you have as many as you want, but I want you to tell me about yourself and answer any question I ask. Deal?"
"Deal"

xXShadowXx Like I said in the last chapter editing took for ever because my grammar, the way I explain things, and punctuation is absolutely horrendous. So please don't let this go unnoticed and I have to say I think this chapter is my favorite so far!
