There was no winning in their argument and so before things could get any worst, Hawk decided to let it go.
"Good night," he said blandly and turned his back at his bride. In a moment the door opened and closed, Hawk went off with it leaving Simione alone in their honey moon night. The ambiance fell and the once tensed room had gone cold together with Simione's heart.
She swallowed her anger. The next thing she could do right then was just sit on the big bed that was meant supposed to be for couple's lovemaking. The petals of roses had gone meaningless then, not even the romantic scent could change the fact that she would be alone tonight. Perhaps she preferred that for her heart loathed Hawk Monsanto truly but the room had gone cold, too cold that made her wished he should have not left. Would he just walk away like this every time?
Perhaps there is a hope in this union if she would just allow it too. But could she trust Hawk's confession of love?
