Okay!
Mel would have predicted anything, but this.
She was now tied up like an animal and the bastard finally stepped down from the car, same as the entire family.
They all share the same deadly mindset anyway, since none of them seem to care about what they are doing to her.
They just rested their backs on the car and watched like she was performing a boring show.
"Give me back my son, you bastard!" Mel tried to struggle, but she only felt the rope tightening more around her since the men were trying to hold her down no matter what.
The man scoffed.
And before he could talk, Mel spit at his face.
"You lunatic! I will kill you as long as I continue to breath. You will never ruin my son's life in this filthy home. I will die rather than watch that happen." She hadn't completed her words when a harsh slap landed on her face.
She could feel the metallic taste of blood in her mouth immediately and again.
Spit!
She spit the blood at his face, even though her vision had gone blurry, due to the impact of the slap and her strength was already half gone.
"You!"
Almost all the people present were shocked.
Now, they see it's a good idea she was tied down.
That slap could make a healthy being go into a fainted state, not to mention a woman that now looks as pale as a ghost.
Mel breathes heavily, suppressing the sharp pain she is feeling after the numbness of the heavy blows wear off.
It hurt like hell, but she doesn't care about herself at this rate.
Her breath has been taken.
Her entire life is now caged into this family.
She just doesn't understand what else to do.
Her baby is her entire life. He's her breath.
Right now, she felt suffocated.
Her boy had just started to call him mama clearly.
It was his being sick that made him silent recently.
He has started moving about and showing up behind her with Amy guiding him to make sure he wouldn't trip.
The sound of 'mama' means everything to her.
Lord, why me?
She mentally asked and then her will to use aggressiveness broke immediately.
Slap!
Another slap met her face before she could digest everything and the last words that left her mouth were pleas.
Her neck dropped in front of her as her energy felt like and the slap took it away.
She could hear what the man was saying, but it's getting more distance and distance.
"Please, return my baby to me. He's all I have."
"He's all I have…."
Whether they heard her or not, she wasn't sure, but she saw the face of the wife and her two daughters.
They looked so pleased for her state and this further made her try to hold up.
She can't lose consciousness now. She can't let her son be in the care of these people that take pleasure in seeing the mother suffer.
"You should feel honored you gave birth to my bloodline!" Chairman Charles screamed as one of the girls was now helping him clean the mess on his face.
Veins were popping up his face and eyes all red.
Mel just breathed heavily, unable to find her voice.
She just kept whispering the same thing over and over again.
"He means everything to me. He's my whole world. Please, give him back."
"There are things he's allergic to.
He doesn't handle colds too well.
He's just recovering from an illness.
He needs me.
My baby needs me please."
She ranted on and on, while her eyes started to close, with tears escaping it.
No one could make out all she's saying.
They just knew she was saying something, but who cares?
"And don't worry about watching him leave with me. You won't even remember him when you saw him next time…." Before the man could finish all he's saying, Mel has already passed out.
Despite this, they are so careful even when the man asks them to take her away.
They dragged her with the rope and soon left the scene.
The family went back inside their car without a care.
…..
Meanwhile, inside the house has been a mess.
The boy woke up to see an unfamiliar face and has been crying since then.
He hasn't spoken since he was sick, but he did today.
He just kept mentioning 'Mama'.
Hurried footsteps of the man resounded in the room and….
Slap!
He delivered the third slap of the day and it was the maid who received it this time.
"What did you do to him?!" He screamed and quickly took the boy who was thrashing his body and wanted to go away from her vicinity.
With tears in her eyes, "I didn't do anything." The maid said and the man was horrified by the temperature of the body of his grandson.
"Call the doctor over." He said to a guard standing behind and his wife stepped forward to take the boy, but surprisingly, Collins doesn't seem to want that.
He was still crying in chairman Charles' hold, but it got louder as the woman tried to carry him.
"It's fine." He said to his wife, missing the frown that washed past her expression.
"It's okay, my boy." He said, patting Collins' back.
"Mama." Collins called in his baby voice and he merely got a sweet smile in return.
"This is your new home now, my boy. Your new home." He said and Collins slowly stopped crying, giving him a curious, confused and pitiful look.
The man's heart melted at the cuteness.
He was now hiccuping softly and looking into the man's eyes with her doll-like own.
"Mama." He called again and looked past the man, as if searching for someone, before looking at him as if asking him to provide what he asked for.
"Anything but that, my boy. Grandpa is here." He was now moving about like a nanny or mother tending to a crying newborn.
He looks nothing like a rich CEO controlling a big enterprise.
While all this was happening, the girls had already left for their room in annoyance.
Not even their mom's side warning glare worked this time.
They hate the noise and the boy.
Same as the affection he's getting.
