Li Zhihuan and Li Haoxuan had the most smooth sailing dungeon runs they ever had ever since they started playing when they were ten. With the help of five times drop rates and five times experience points, they easily racked up materials and even got to level 50 by noon.
At noontime, they were once again being asked to pull out of the game by the staff waiting in the real world. Compared to before, the players did not feel dizzy, nor were they attacked by a severe headache. This was a good sign.
"So, how was the game experience after the upgrade? Were there any difficulties? Anything that didn't work?"
The project staff once more asked the players a series of questions and found a few more bugs to deal with.
"Can I ask about the status of the arena?" Ye Xiu asked the staff that was in charge of asking him questions.
"There are still a few more bugs to fix. Hopefully, we can get it to run in few more hours," the staff replied as he closed his notebook. "Alright, thank you for your help, Mr. Ye. You may go and have your lunch now," with a smile, the staff nodded his head before going to report to the project manager.
Ye Xiu then glanced over to Li Haoxuan and Li Zhihuan's side to see the two brothers were talking with each other happily. He got off his seat and approached the two brothers.
"Xiao Xuan, Xiao Huan, want to eat together?"
The twins stopped talking and looked up at Ye Xiu before giving him an apologetic look.
"God Ye, sorry. Not today," Li Haoxuan replied.
"Yes, ah! Sorry, God Ye. The staff just told us that dad made us lunch so we will be joining him," Li Zhihuan added.
"Ah, is that so? That's too bad. I actually wanted to discuss something about the game operation," Ye Xiu said with a hint of pity in his tone. "I won't get in the way of your family bonding though. It's good that your father supported what you're doing," Ye Xiu added before he then helped Li Zhihuan to his wheelchair.
"Thank you, God Ye. Later, are we going to play together? I mean… you and Ah'Xuan won't be able to level up until you two finished the Heavenly Domain Challenge, right?"
"That's right. Later, you will continue with Xiao Fei and Yifan after finishing your class awakening quest. Xiao Xuan and I will proceed with Heavenly Domain Challenge quests," Ye Xiu told him.
"Ah, but the staff said the arena is still not up. Can we even finish it?" Li Haoxuan voiced out his concern.
"You're already thinking of finishing it? That's very good. That means you have confidence in beating them," as Ye Xiu said this, he looked behind him where the rest of the players were discussing with each other; most probably about the things they find in the game.
It was only then that Li Haoxuan remembered that this server is a dedicated server for the test and is separated from the rest of the Glory servers. Which means, if he wanted to finish Heavenly Domain Challenge, he will need to win against these God level players.
'This will be a nightmare… let alone ten, I can't even beat Mr. Huang last night,' Li Haoxuan let out a heavy sigh which didn't escape Ye Xiu's sharp ear.
"Don't worry about it too much. Unlike the keyboard and mouse, we are still new with this system. Who knows, you'll be able to beat them somehow?"
"If I lose the battle, the counter will reset to zero. So even if I somehow win against one, it'll be useless if I don't keep winning, ah!" Li Haoxuan complained.
"Then you just have to keep winning."
Saying such things in a relaxed and easygoing manner, only Ye Xiu can do it.
The players then huddled together into the elevator and went down to the cafeteria. But when they reached the floor, the twins didn't alight the elevator.
"Our dad is waiting for us elsewhere," was all Li Zhihuan said before he pressed the button to the ground floor. "We'll see all of you senior later," he added as the elevator came to close.
"What do you think of the game earlier?" Li Haoxuan asked his brother as soon as the door closed and the elevator began its descent.
"It felt good! I really enjoyed it. Walking, running, dodging, jumping, rolling… everything was fun!" Li Zhihuan answered happily. "It's too bad that we couldn't really feel everything the game has to offer. Imagine if we could feel the winds, the blade of grass…"
"Brother, that will be too much to ask," Li Haoxuan smiled helplessly as he gazed at his brother.
"Maybe in the future?" Li Zhihuan looked up at his brother. "I think dad will be able to achieve that, right?"
Li Haoxuan can only shook his head and sighed. "Maybe. I mean… he already managed to do this. Who knows, if we give him another ten years…"
After that, Li Zhihuan decided to drop the topic. He knew he was already asking for too much but he can't help wanting to be selfish. He never really voiced it out to his family, but he too wanted to live a normal life. He wanted to go out, play and make friends.
Li Zhihuan glanced at his wheelchair and sighed heavily. 'It's unfortunate that I won't be able to experience those in this lifetime… But at least, in the game, I can pretend I'm normal.'
After this chapter, I don't have any scheduled sadly. Though I would try to write during vacation, it might not be as good. So if I do update and it's rushed, do forgive me.
After the contest, I will definitely do major editing! As mentioned, there are few plotholes that some of you found and it would be a good time to fix it. After that, we can transition into the 2nd part better!
