Chương 2: Chapter 2 Hunted
The men on horseback shouted as they aimed their broomsticks towards me. [DAMN]! I run as fast as my legs can carry me but their horses are just as fast. -BLAM BLAM BLAM- Round balls made of Iron fly past me at tremendous speeds.
I continue to run as fear slowly takes hold of my heart. [NOT YET I CAN'T DIE YET]. I trip and fall over but quickly recover. A bullet digs into the spot I was just laying on. Half a second later and I would be a goner.
I can't remember how long I ran for. The green trees flew by me as the chase progressed. "GET HIM"! "TAKE THE SHOT"! I could hear shouts from the humans behind me.
*Perfect a hill*. I notice a hill rapidly approaching if I can reach it I might be able to gain some speed and lose them. However right before I got to the hill I felt a sharp pain coursing through my front left arm.
-BAM- [ARGH]! The momentum carries my body as I tumble down the hill. Rocks slam against my body as I continue rolling. [URGH]! I stop rolling resting at the foot of the hill.
"NICE SHOT NOW LET'S GET HIM"! *SHIT their still after me*. I quickly examine my wound. bruises cover my entire body as an iron bullet rests inside my skin. The pain was next to unbearable but I had to deal with it for now. The adrenaline was the only thing keeping me going.
-CHOMP- I bite my wound with my jaw sucking the blood up. Limping away on three paws I managed to get a bit of a distance and hide in some bushes. The footsteps of the horses drew closer. I could hear them talking amongst themselves.
"Where is he I thought you shot him"? "Maybe I missed let's go". "No you didn't miss their's blood here but it just stops here I'm guessing this wolf had a regeneration ability". "Oh Boy will it sell for a high price than let's go". They head off but I still hold my breath just in case.
A few minutes pass by and the adrenaline wears off. I could feel pain coursing through me. Tears welled in my eyes due to the pain. *Just need to get this bullet out*. I bury my claws into my skin trying to remove the bullet. The pain just got worse.
[GRRRGH]! I finally managed to remove it but the blood flow only increased. Using some large leaves I found I managed to make some makeshift bandages. [HUFF HUFF DAMN]! It takes a few minutes for me to recover enough to move again. *If I don't clean this wound soon it will get infected DAMN just my luck*.
I desperately search for any source of water but to no avail. [Where am I going to find water]. I continue limping around for a good hour before I find any source of water. *Finally*. I rush over as fast as I can. What I come across is a dirty bog not fit for cleaning or drinking. [SHIT]! Cursing my bad luck I decided to find a rock able to hold water. *This should do*. I fill it up with the dirty water once thats done I start a fire. It takes a couple of attempts due to my limp arm but I finally manage to do it.
*I should start by cleaning my wound first*. I put a piece of cloth in my mouth as I unravel the makeshift bandages. Taking the boiling water I pour it over my wound to disinfect it. The water burns the skin as pain take control. [MMMPH GRMMPH]! Biting down on the cloth I tear it to shreds. [HUFF HUFF]! Gasping for air I rewrap the wound in a new makeshift bandage. [Now I need something to drink]. I boil more water this time to drink.
Once it's finished boiling, I chug down the water. The warm water tastes absolutely disgusting but I choke it down till the last drop. *I need to struggle this much can I even survive*? This question lingered in my mind as I kept boiling water to drink.
[I need to continue before I get found out]. I put out my campfire and cover it up with dirt. I make sure to cover all my tracks before I continue wandering through the woods. Minutes turn into hours. Hours turn into Days. Exhaustion grips at my beaten and broken body. My wounds haven't had time to heal either since I had to keep on the move.
I see something in the distance. It seems to be another wolf. I knew it would be best to run and hide but I was too desperate. I had to stake it all on this wolf. As I aproach the wolf seems to be picking herbs in the woods. [Pl-please]. I wonder out of the cover of the trees desperation was the only thing driving me. "Wh-who are you"? [Help]..... My vision faded as I lost consciousness. "HOLD ON I'LL HELP"! That was the last thing that I heard but it felt comforting.
I woke up lying on a bed made of leaves. My wounds were bandaged with actual bandages and my busies were gone. "I see you're finally up". I hear a soft voice behind me I turn around to see a brown wolf standing there. [Wh-who are you]? "I'm the one who took you in when you went unconscious three days ago". [Wait three days ago I was out for that long]? "Mhmm Most wolves with wounds as serious as yours would die ecspecially in these woods. So what exactly happened to you"?
