Chương 3: Voyage tales I
The Episode opens with the ship sailing on the ocean. It's a beautiful sunny day with great winds pushing the boat thru the waters. Inside ther cabin is king Orion, hes entering information into his captain's log. Meanwhile, it cuts to outside on the ship's deck where various members of the Royale army can be found goofing off. We see a group of knights in the center of the deck arm wrestling, while their fellow brothers in arms are getting drunk cheering them on. It then shows another group of knights standing on the deck overlooking the beauty of the ocean. The members then begins to reminisce on past events while sharing a few drinks.
Story 1: knight's tale pt1
One of the men members speaks ups. He begins to talk about how one day after returning home from a trip with the King, their path were blocked by a group of women in their mid to early 30's. They are standing on the road. As the men approach the 3 ladies,
the women begin to cry out "fair knights help us please" the men stop, the King speaks ups "good afternoon ladies for I'm king Orion, the king of the land of Obadiah, and these are my band of my Royale knights. what may be thys problem my fair lady?" One of the woman steps forward and begins to tell the King why they need help.
"My Lord, us three ladies are refugees, we had fled from our homes in the Kingdom of louie due to a most recent battle. All 3 of our husbands were killed battle defending the kingdom." "Im sorry to hear that, the king says. Death is not easily accepted" the other Knights then shake their heads that's is right my lord a knight says. Knights are warriors! To have died in combat is the most honorable way a knight to past. He tells the group of widows. The ladies then begin to go into more detail. "Yes we know, but thats not why we need help. King louie is being cruel and unjust" "How so" King Orion says. "for He will not grant us 3 the permission to bury our fallen husbands who were Knights in his Army. What a knight says in an angry tone, it is only fair for a wife to see and bury her fallen husband yay the other knight says, does thous king have any honor for his knights? No another woman tells them he doesn't! And that's not even the bad part the lady says. Oh the king says. Yes. The king told us that if we ever wanted to see our dead husbands again, then we must join him in his kingdom as his royale concubines" The women goes on to tell King and his men. that they then fled from the Kingdom they have been waiting here for 3 days now waiting on someone to help. How cruel and unjust Orion says to the ladies. For a king to treat his people like this…. its unthinkable. Fear not ladies for king Orion and the Royale knights of Obadiah will take care of your problem for you. Yea the other 2 knights say dry your tears, for you will be able to bury your love ones soon enough the knight says as the head towards the kingdom of louie.
Once inside the kingdom walls, the group heads towards the castle to talk to the king. The group approaches the castle but they are greeted by king louie's, Royale guardsman.
Halt, for no mere commoner is able to meet with the king of this land, a knight says as him an a partner block the entrance to the castle with spears. For I am no mere commoner guardsmen, for I am king Orion, lord of the land of Obadiah, my father, and these two knights are members of my Royale army. For we have traveled a far distance to speak with your king, please allow us passage, Orion tells the guardsmen.
Both guardsmen take a knee.
Thousands apologies my Lord for I did not know that it was you king Orion one Guardsman says. Yes, please forgive us his partner says. For you and your Royale knights are granted passage.
The men travel thru the castle searching for king louie, they eventually find him seated on his throne on a balcony overlooking the land.
Who are you and what business do you have in my Throne Room King Louis asks the men. Your royalness, Orion says kneeling before King louie with his head down. He then stands up; for I am king Orion, king of the land of Obadiah and these are my Royale knights, for we have traveled to your kingdom today on a request. He tells louie. Request? King louie stayed in a confused tone. Yay Orion says. While returning home from mission my knights and I were encountered by 3 fair maidens. They were from the kingdom of louie, the maidens went on to tell us how they are being refused to bury their husbands bodies. Excuse me King O'Brien but this is no concern to the king of Obadiah King louie tells Orion. This maybe so king Orion says to him, but from one king to another we both know this is unjust. So how about a duel of single combat. You choose your strongest knight and I'll choose one of my knights and if my knight wins then you must allow those women to bury their husbands corpses. And if my knight wins? The king asks. Then you can have one of my knights as your own. King louie stares at Orion briefly stroking his chin. Why not louie says. He then calls forth his warrior, suddenly a huge man walks in easily 8ft tall covered in armor enters louie's throne room. Meet Henry king louie says, hes by far the strongest knight in the kingdom. I received him from the Coliseum during the trade with the emperor of Rome. Ya see, Henry here use to be a gladiator, he was one of the best. Having faced many beasts from lions, tigers and wolves to even exotic beasts as well.
He has quite a resume, Orion says to louie he sounds like a very strong warrior. So, Orion says as he turns around to look at his two knights. Which one of you wants to do battle?
I will my Fair King Joan says as she steps up to compete in solo combat against Henry. Feel free orion says as he steps aside. Hey wait a sec. John says to Joan, let me take this guy he says as he smashes his fist into his hand. This guy looks like he can fight, John says sizing Henry up. I'm sorry, Joan says John as she walks past him towards her opponent. But I just can't sit back and watch such debauchery take place she says. I will defeat you not just for my king, but also for those ladies, she says to her opponent as she draws her weapon; A great sword in her right and a buckler shield in her left. For they have a right to bury their husbands, she states as she readies himself for battle. Haha, that's a bold claim to be making, coming from a woman. Henry says, Joan tightens her grip. Fine if you wanna be like that he says to her as he draws both weapons, in the right hand he wields a gladius, an in his left he wields Spatha. For the record, I despair battling against women. But once a lady arms herself with armour and a blade, then she is no longer a lady, but a knight. The to briefly stare each other down. I don't think this guy knows what he's getting himself into, the other that accompanied Orion says to him. Joan looked mad. Yea, I kinda feel sorry for the guy.
The fight then begins! Henry quickly dashes straight towards Joan. Let's see how skilled you are with that blade he says as he tries to stab Joan in the stomach with the gladius. Joan using the length of the blade she Perry's the attack the the top of the sword. No faded, John quickly goes for a diagonal down slash with the Spatha, Joan quickly turns the sword upside down implanting the blade into the ground blocking the attack. Henry jumps back to regroup himself, while Joan pulls her sword outta the ground and aims it at Henry. It seems you are skilled with that blade, he says as he spits. I'll give you that, Joan just continues to stare at John. You use a big sword, to keep your opponents from getting in to close. Basically you are able to control the fight he says to Joan, but she keeps quiet, waiting for John to attack. John goes to rush in, using this as her chance; Joan quickly thrust the tip of her sword towards the face of John, he blocks and smiles.
Nice try John says as he rides both swords down the blade of Joan's great sword. Joan quickly strikes John in the chest knocking him back. That was a good attack Joan says, you almost had me. John then spits blood. I can tell that you are a very strong an skilled knight, But do you know why you won't win this duel today. Henry begins to laugh very loudly as turns he to his king. My lord do you hear this.
It then cuts back to king Orion and 5th captain. John. Yup this guys stupid John says to his king. Shhhhh you're gonna miss it Orion tells John. It then goes back to the duel.
No why don't you inform me… little girl he says talking down to her. Little girl Joan says to herself. Ok fine she says as she takes a step off of her back legend begins to thrust her sword very rapidly at the head of Henry, he dodges them by jumping back. Its because your, old and slow she says. This speed he says to himself as he moves hes head from left to right dodging the attacks. Come on is that all you got I thought you said I was slow he yells at her he suddenly stops. Ahh, he yells as he checks his face. What, he says to himself she cut me but how. Joan then goes for a leg slash but Henry jumps over it. Ha come on now I'm not too old to jump, wait where'd she go. He asks looking around. Up here Joan yells as she comes down with a down slash. Huh Henry says as he looks up with just enough time to block the attack. Joan using the momentum flips over the back of John. She quickly flips the great sword behind her aiming it at Henry's head. Henry turns around but it's too late. Do you yield she asks him. I yield he says to her as he lowers his head. King Charles is stunned in disbelief, what he yells. This is an outrage! You stupid behemoth of a man let yourself be defeated by a woman. Henry then kneels sorry my king for I have failed you. Guards! King Charles angrily shouts, take this man to the dungeons. Guard enter the throne room and takes Henry to the dungeons.
Well a deal's a deal Orion says to Charles. Fine, fine Charles says those hags can have the bodies, I have no more use for them anyway; Gruards, bring the coffins in, king Charles yells and snaps his left fingers. Just then Royale guards then bring 3 coffins in the throne room. King Orion, here are the fallen bodies of the three knights that I have been with holding, Charles says to him, for your Royale knight for a women she fights well. Not only is she beautiful, but She's a real warrior as well He tells him.
You know, he says as he descends from his throne and walks over to third captain Joan. I could really use a unique warrior such as yourself on my team he says to Joan kissing her right hand. King Charles, I'm flattered she says quickly yanking her hand from him; but I have duties as well as obligations she says to him walking towards king Orion and turns around; And protecting my king comes first and defending my kingdom is a close second. Besides, I've seen how you treat not only women that reside in your land, but close knights too, I want nothing to do with you. You messily commoner, I am Royalty and you will what how you speak about me in my presence king Charles tells Joan. King Orion then interjects to defuse the tension. Alright, alright Orion says as he kneels before king Charles; king Charles Orion says, pardon the rudeness of my knight a thousand pardons I ask that you please forgive her Orion says to him. Thank you for the bodies he says as he stands up, I hope that we can one day do business again. King Charles looks at Orion, he then walks back over to his throne. Perhaps king Charles says to the king of Obadiah kingdom, I can tell that you have strong warriors as well as beautiful women, we may be able to come to an agreement in the future he tells him. Thanks Orion says as him and the other two knights take a coffin and they exit the castle.
It then cuts to the three traveling back towards the three windowed ladies. My king Joan says to him. What's up Joan Orion asks him. Why did you kneel before him back there she asks him. Because, Orion tells her. Sometimes it's better to show respect even when one is wrong. Think about it, the only reason we ventured to the kingdom of Charles was because we were trying to get back the bodies of the women's husbands. Once we did that we were finished, but by doing that, we were able to prove that we were the superiors king Orion says to her. Joan stays quiet thinking to herself. King Orion, he's a very wise man to be the age he is. He many come of as laid back, but in fact he's very alert able to always make the right decision in many scenarios she says to herself staring at the back of Orion.
After some time of traveling on the road the group comes across the three Widow maidens. There they are king Orion says. Yea I can see them myself my lord, John says to Orion. Yes now these women can finally put these men to rest Joan says. Right Orion turns his head to the right side as he says to Joan. Hey, king Orion cries out yelling at the three women. Were back he continues on waving his arm. The women then begin to cheer. Thank you king Orion and his Royale knights, one women says. Yes, another one says for you and your men are brave and real strong. For I will tell this story everywhere I go an only speak good and righteous words about the kingdom of Obadiah. Thank you king Orion says as he bows, I would deeply appreciate that. And to you the last woman says to Joan. You really inspired me today the woman tells her. For if I was brave and strong like you I could've been able to do it myself. But no more as of I will learn how to be a strong woman just like you Joan. And I will tell of what you did today as well the woman proudly boasts. Joan does nothing but smile. She then bows to the woman to, thank you Joan says to her as she tears up a little. Just doing my job as a Royale knight she says as she stands up and salutes the woman. King Orion and the two others get ready to leave, they say their final goodbyes and everyone goes in opposite directions. The king and his group heads towards Obadiah, while the three maidens head home to the kingdom of Charles.
