"What the heck?" I said as I jumped back, avoiding his sword, which was swinging to my direction.
"Wilson, I challenge you on a street duel," he said while pointing his sword in my direction.
"What???" I ran away from him.
I grabbed the tactical baton from my back pocket and parried his sword that was trying to hit me.
"Why the hell you hit me?" I asked him as I ran further away from him.
"Wow, you can even parry an attack from behind, that's impressive," He complimented while swinging his rapier again.
"Whiskey, Initiating protocol Romeo-Echo-Sierra-Charlie-Uniform-Echo," I said to my hand transceiver.
"Roger, Delta will meet you there," Garth replied to me.
He kept swinging his sword at me, and luckily, I could parry him with my tactical baton.
"I don't agree with this duel. Stop it now!!!" I said to him.
"Can't do my friend. The "Queen" told me to do this," he said to me.
Shit, that queen was one of our opponents in that duel. Why did she is called the "Queen"? Because she was one of the daughters of the king. Well, technically, she could become the queen of another country. Though her real name was Kira Baxter, she was the third daughter of the king.
I think only Sir Alex's family and my family that used birth control in this world. Maria was the only child of them, and Elena and my father didn't have another child after me, although I wasn't their biological child.
Either way, for now, I must hold on until Garth arrived while dodging his sword while carrying this heavy bag that contains an assault rifle with live rounds. But, wait a minute, he wasn't the academy student. He didn't have any insignia, and his face was way older than me.
I grabbed the rifle from my back while still running backward with a tactical baton on my left hand. I grabbed the loaded rifle from my bag and shot him with the full might of forty 5.56 mm rounds on full auto.
The attacker bodies were full of holes and dropping down into the ground. The sword fell from his hand, and a bush creature appeared so sudden.
It was either Garth, Maria, or Cecile in a ghillie suit. But the only one that was used to wearing a ghillie suit was Maria.
"I know you are there, Mike," I said while aiming the rifle at her.
"Haha, good eyes whiskey," she said as she continued to prone between the grass.
"Who's that?" I said as I pointed my hands at the dead bodies.
"Hmm, you see that black patch over there?" She said as she pointed that badge with the laser from her LED combo.
"Yes?" I said as I saw a patch with a wolf biting a sword.
"That's the kingdom trained assassin, just seeing it with my own eyes gives me goosebumps," she said to me.
"Wait, I thought they are just a myth," I said.
"And so as our "Skulls," she said while dragging the dead body to the bushes.
"Hmm, we have three days left on our vacation, don't we?" I dug a hole on the ground with a shovel.
"Yup and the duel are on Monday," she said as she put the dead bodies on the hole.
"Hmm, the kingdom dispatch an assassin to kill me. Are they want to declare war with me?" I asked Maria for her opinion.
"Nah, I think this is just a personal threat from Kira. Don't take it too seriously, the army of yours will put the kingdom down in less than a month," she said to me.
"In my old world, students aren't supposed to kill someone," I joked at our action.
"Haha, this is my world and has its own set of rules," she said as she covered the hole with dirt.
I picked up the falling magazines from the ground and put it back in my bag. I hit the baton a couple of times on the ground and shorten its length.
"Hey, did you know that Lieutenant Colonel Sobri's squadron is going to do a recon in our town?" Maria asked me while still lying prone at those bushes.
"Well, I don't know," I said as I walked away from her.
I walked away from the park where Maria was burying the body and saw a horse with a beautiful person on top of it. It was our new teacher, First Lieutenant Herma Harrington, aka Alexa Pompeius, aka Ommonth, the sky guardian.
She rode her white horse to the principal office, followed by Captain Hasslebrown in her black horse from behind. Herma's appearance was still the same, but everyone didn't know that she was the Dragon that accompanied the hero back in the great holy war. Christine said that she always appeared in her Dragon form and rarely in her human form.
They looked at me and saluted from top of their horses. I saluted back at them, and they were whipping their horses faster. Herma also had changed his appearance to an older woman in her 20s, so she was more eligible as our teacher. She said dragon could turn into any human form that they want. Even she could transform into a man if she wants to.
I think Captain Harrington successfully planted a mole in the academy, which was a good thing for General Blackwell. He could retrieve information about Costellia faster than before rather than depends on recon using jets and spy planes.
"General Blackwell is a smart one, huh?" Suddenly Maria approached me from behind while carrying the ghillie suit on her back and her face still full of green face paint with a large black stripe across her face. However, she wasn't covering her bright grey hair with a bonnie hat. She was wearing a green woodland uniform on her body.
"Might as well said that," I gazed through the skies as five F-15C flew passed me, and one of them has LTC Sobri insignia. An F-15 with a blue color on its wings. He also had a triangle sign on the wings of his aircraft.
I grabbed the AN-PRC 148 on Maria's chest and pressed the button on the HT. Weirdly enough, the HT was bouncing every time I press it. I kept pressing it until she pushed me back and released her HT from her tactical rig with a red face.
Wilson: "Colonel, I wonder whether you really come."
Sobri: "Nice to see you, General."
I gave back the HT to Maria, and she strapped it again on her rig.
"It's a shame we can't use that on the duel," she said as she pointed her hand to the flying F-15s.
"Yeah, Colonel Sobri's F-15C abilities are on par or even better than experimental series jets. His jet is heavily modified until that jet can't any longer be called the 4 generation aircraft. Hypersonic flight, extreme maneuverability, stealth, and an optional energy beam weaponry make his aircraft among the 6th generation of aircraft even surpassing the base F-22. Yeah, I wish we could use that as a backup," I said as I gazed at his jet.
We went back to Natalie's room after that.
