Chương 16: Training and let the game commence

Morning was quick to arrive. Going down to the dining room I proceed to eat breakfast with the others. telling them that I would take them back at noon they nod, and they go pack their belongings getting ready to go.
It's a bit past 11 a.m. and we're all on the back patio talking about the past week. We were laughing and merely talking to pass time. Soon came 12 so I got up and asked them to finish up. They said one last goodbye to each other while saying we should go visit whenever we could.
Were now inside Isshin's clinic. I give them some special phones made by my family's new company that allow calls to connect from the human world and the under-world. The making of them was difficult and took me a whole month but thanks to my heightened comprehension I was able to quickly learn and develop it. They thank me and I teleport back home
Seeing my return my parents reenter the house leaving the rest of us alone. I'm facing them while they look back at me.
"Issei, your body is that of a mid-class level 9. You just need that final push to get you to ascend to High-class. I've been thinking about how to accomplish it and thought up of a great idea. In training room 3 I made a formation to help you. By placing a small amount of mana into the outer circle will turn it on. It'll begin to gather mana from the surrounding and use that to produce lightning you'll use to temper your body. There are 5 different levels so make sure not to turn on the next level until the current one doesn't affect you at all or you could die. Level 1 is the weakest with 5 being the strongest." While he doesn't look forward to shocking himself, he knows it's to get stronger, so he simply nods.
"Ravel for you I've also made a formation though this one disturbs the flow of mana in its vicinity. Just like the lightning one it has 5 levels. Just so you know level 5 could make an ultimate-class level 9 feel like a normal person with its level of disturbance so just like /Issei start at level 1 and only go upwards when it has no effect on you. The formation is in training room 2." She nods in excitement at the prospect of increasing her control to such monstrous levels.
"Ichigo you will go with Ravel cause while you have a strong body and high energy levels your control is garbage. Ravel help Ichigo with the basics then let him train on his own." Ichigo gives a sad smile in understanding while Ravel tells Ichigo she'll help as best she can.
"Tier I want you training your ice element. It's similar to your innate element water so it shouldn't be too difficult and may even inspire you in your water element making it stronger. To help you I modified training room 4 to be an icy hell. Just like the others there are different levels so make sure the cold in the lower levels doesn't bother you any more before switching to a higher level." She nods in understanding with her usual stoic face.
"For the rest of you there are other training rooms, with special affects you could use. Rooms 11-15 have a formation that increases the gravity. There are different levels with each increasing the gravity by 5 of normal up to 25 times normal gravity. However, don't go in there if your body is below Mid-class level 0. Rooms 16-20 have the same mana disturbance formations as the room Ravel's using though they only go up to level 3. Or you could use the other rooms to spar with each other or do your own training."
Putting on a serious expression which gains all of their attention I say.
"Just remember to not push yourself too far. There is a fine line between training and torturing yourself. Under no circumstance do I want any of you to cross it. IS. THAT. CLEAR." I yell to make sure the point gets across.
They all nod so I give them a smile and mention that I taught Ravel how to use golden flames so she could now heal physical injuries. Also, that if someone doesn't listen to me and ends up killing themselves to contact me quickly so I can come back and revive them so I can kill them myself.
Ravel and Issei sweat drop at this while the others look shocked hearing, I can revive people. Realizing this I explain to them all my different types of fires including the pure white on that can revive others though the restriction is that it takes a lot of energy and that the person couldn't have been dead for more than three hours.
I tell them this must be kept a secret and just because they know I can revive them they shouldn't be less afraid of death since there could be situations where I'm not able to come to their aid which would result in their complete death. I didn't tell my peerage how they would automatically revive upon death since I didn't want them to become complacent with the fear of death being gone.
Now that everything here has been taken care of, I teleport myself to my mansion I bought in the human world. This mansion was bought by me after having bought a company that makes mechanical parts on the outskirts of Kuoh town. It was rather expensive since they had a total of 14 different branches in different places around the country. thought the convenient part is that the headquarters is in this town.
I go to the company where I'm greeted by my many employees. I head to the main office where I'm greeted by the manager Mr. Shirosaki.
"Hello there Mr. Shirosaki" I greet him as I enter the office.
"Hello Mr. Phenex. Why didn't you tell me you were going to visit? I would have gone met you at the entrance."
"There's no need I'm just here to ask if there's anything that needs my attention."
"None, everything's been progressing smoothly."
"Very well. I'll just stroll throughout the facility no need to accompany me you proceed with your matters."
I leave his office and walk around for a while before heading to a park. This isn't the park the same park in which I met Issei. This park is on the other side of town. Never had anything on this side of town mentioned so I guess its relatively safe and I'm going to make sure it stays like this.
An hour after I got to the park, I see a little girl arriving at the park. I've just been swinging while watching the leaves on the trees sway back and forth in the wind. I got up and grabbed the backpack I brought with me that has a bag of cookies made by Ravel.
I begin eating them but soon I feel a gaze on me. looking up I see the little girl standing 3m from me staring straight at the cookies. I ask her if she wants some. She asks if its ok and I tell her its fine and show her the large bag full of cookies.
She grabs one and sits on the swing next to me and eats. For the next 10 minutes we just sit there eating cookies. She eats many more than I do and if it were any other child I would ask if she was feeling ok. This whole time I'm trying my best to suppress my excitement at the prospect of who this little girl is and what the future has in store now that I'm acquainted with her.
She doesn't grab anymore, so I ask her if she's full. She nods so I put the bag away and begin talking with her.
"What's your name little girl." I ask with the same smile I give Ravel, Yuzu and Karin.
"My names Hanan Hana Shirosaki." She introduces herself while bowing a little bit. My goodness she's so cute.
I hold back my excitement and ask her what she was doing here at the park alone. She tells me that she doesn't know where her friends live so she occasionally comes to the park in hopes of meeting them. I think that's cute.
I ask her if it was ok for her to eat so many sweets while telling her that eating to many sweets can make one fat or sick.
She says its fine since sweets are the best things in the world. I smile hearing her response.
We stay there talking for a few hours and I ask her if she doesn't need to be at home by now. she looks at her phone and gets startled seeing the time. she says she has to go and takes off.
Looking at her back as she leaves a smile creeps up on my face thinking about the near future.
The rest of summer break went on like this. I would go back to the under-world every other day to see how things were going on back home and Ravel would give me some snacks to take back with me each time. I also went to the park each time I came back from the underworld after going to check on the company.
I met Hana each time I went to the park and asked her how often she came to the park. She said that before she would come once or twice a week but now, she comes every other day so she could see me. I smile and pat her head while taking out a pack of cupcakes.
By the end of summer, I managed to get her to see me as a big brother and she now calls me Oni-Chan rather than Riser. We switched numbers and I told her that if she ever runs into any trouble to call me and ill handle it.
That's how every other day of summer vacation went by. The other days I spent researching runes or making mana stones. It's been a productive summer since I can now have the mana stones retain 1% of the mana used to make them rather than the 0.2% previously retained. I also tried making mana stones using my creation ability but the only thing it did was speed up the process while the mana it stored remaining the same as if I made it manually. I also made significant progress in runes.
I've been trying to make a storage dimension so I wouldn't have to carry around my things in my hands wherever I go. Other than that, nothing else has happened other than an annoying visit from some unsavory characters.
While I was tinkering with some runes in my living room with Baby Metal playing in the background a red magic circle begins forming in the center of the living room.
Out of it came Rias and her peerage.
"What the hell are you doing here now." She asks in a rather calm voice. She must be planning something.
"Why hello sweetie. I bought a company in the area and chose to have this place as my home base in the human world.
She frowns at my answer but calms down moments later.
"I don't care if you bought every single company in town you have to leave now."
"And who's going to make me. Huh. Our families are equal, and you know going to war won't benefit either of us. Also don't bring your brother into this since its widely known that he stepped out of being a member of the Gremory family or what it the great Lucifer going back on his word of being a neutral party." I say with anger in my tone since I'm honestly sick and tired of her spoiled little princess character.
She gets really angry stomping her feet before she and her peerage disappear having teleported away.
I grab a drink to calm my nerves and go back to tinkering with runes. Other than that, there weren't any other unsavory incidents and the rest of the summer was rather pleasant.
Now I'm back in the underworld with my whole peerage gathered. I told them that in a few weeks I would have them attend school in the human world. I asked Tier if she wanted to attend school, but she shakes her head. Is ask why. She says she doesn't know anything related to what they learn in school so it would be rather difficult for her to mix in.
I say alright and, in the end, it was decided that Ravel, Lily, Ichigo and Issei would be going to school. A few days after I begun living in the human world, I had told Lily to learn about human subjects. She turned out to be a genius and is now already on high school level subjects despite having started from the beginning a month ago.
The ones who aren't going will still be going along with us and living in the mansion with me in the human world. I finished modifying it so there are training rooms with the same features as those we have in the underworld. I told them I would come get them in a few days giving them time to prepare their things.
Time passed by quickly and now we've finished moving their things to my mansion in the human world. For a few days nothing happened, and days progressed as they normally do. I decide to put into motion canon.
I ask my father to talk to the Gremory head about having the weeding between me and Rias within the next few days.
My father went to talk with the Gremory head the previous day so today I'm going to Kuoh academy to see Rias.
I tell my peerage to get ready in case I call on them in a few minutes before teleporting into the ORC.
"Hello sweetheart." I say as soon as I appear within the room.
Rias is sitting on her chair while glaring at me and the rest of her peerage comprising of Akeno, Koneko, Kiba and Asia are present. Everyone other than Asia give me a dirty look.
"What's with that look don't you miss me when I'm not around." I say in my sweetest voice though you could still feel the contempt in my voice.
"Why the hell would I miss you. Also, before you even bring it up, I will never marry you. Not now ever."
"Well you don't have a say in this matter do you. Our fathers have already talked, and it was decided that our wedding isn't far away."
Hearing me she turns red with anger and starts preparing an attack. Before she can attack me, a magic circle begins forming on the ground. Out of it Grayfia pops out looking as beautiful as I thought.
"Why hello there Grayfia to what do I own this wonderful meeting." She looks at me with clear disgust in her eyes before turning and talking to Rias.
"Rias the talks have already been concluded. You will be marrying Riser Phenex in the within the month." She says to the despair of Rias.
However, Rias soon has a change of expression and looks at me with a mocking smile before turning and talking to Grayfia.
"How about a rating game. Can I challenge him to a rating game Grayfia and wager my hand in marriage?" She asks making the story progress just like it did in the story.
"Yes, though it has to be with the consent of both parties." She looks over at me after having made that point. I simply say yes, and Rias starts smiling widely.
The next moment two men in black suits who are high-class level 8 and 9 appear. They have a brief case each and look scary.
"These gentlemen are workers who ensure wagers of a rating game are clear and that they are upheld to the fullest. Now it's time for the both of you to stake what it is you will wager before the start of the game." Grayfia explains. Seeing how fast these men appeared I know that they were waiting in advance for this.
"Yeah Riser let's make this official for the whole underworld to see." Rias says in a mocking tone since it's not known to the outside world that I have a peerage.
"Ok but I think we should make this more interesting. Instead of just wagering your hand in marriage lets instead wager 3 wishes towards not us but our families. If you win the Phenex family will do any 3 things you ask while if I win the Gremory family will do any 3 things I wish for." I say with a smile on my face knowing she would accept this deal.
"Very well" was her only response with the smile on her face growing further thinking I'm just too arrogant since I'm going to be taking on a whole peerage on by myself.
The paperwork is quickly taken care of and the clauses have been set.
Riser Phenex along with his peerage shall engage Rias Gremory and her peerage in a standard Rating game.
The winner will have 3 wishes they can ask the losers household to grant no matter how severe.
No outside artifacts or magical items may be used with the exception of 1 weapon.
Those was the simplified version of what was written on the parchment we signed with our blood. The 2 men left after everything being ready leaving Rias and her peerage along with Grayfia and I alone.
"You are really arrogant Riser. You don't even have a peerage not to mention how weak you yourself are and you think you can take me and my peerage on." Rias finishes by bursting out laughing.
I was about to call upon my peerage to prove her wrong, but you know what. I think it's better to let her have hope and then crush it all together on the day of the match infront of the whole underworld.
The match would be held the day after tomorrow so I put on my most annoyed look I can and teleport out of there leaving a laughing Rias with her peerage and Grayfia.
"Lady Rias I have a feeling in my gut. I don't know why but I think it has to do with Riser. Maybe he's gotten stronger."
"Oh. No matter I'll just get some more peerage members, so our victory is set in stone." Despite not believing I could pose any form of threat to her she still takes Grayfia's advice and in the time remaining before the rating game she recruits people to fill in the rest of her peerage.
Getting home, I notify my peerage of what happened at the ORC and they get mad, all of them.
I tell them to calm down a in 2 days will be the day we display to the world what we're capable of. They give a loud cheer and begin talking about what they'll do and how much they'll show off. I smile seeing their interactions since they're acting just like I wanted them to.
Like a family.
It's the next day and that means the Rating game is tomorrow. All the other are resting in preparation for the big day. I told them to rest for the day so they're at 100% tomorrow. As for myself I came down to the park once more.
I see Hana playing with 2 other little girls. I walk up to them and I first get spotted by the little blonde. She backs up while calling to get the other 2's attention. Upon seeing me Hana runs and gives me a hug. Seeing how Hana treats me the other 2 relax and decide I'm a friend.
We talk for a while and then Hana's mother comes towards us. Seeing her I feel like I've seen her before.
"Hello, who might you be." She asks with a questioning look.
"Mommy this is Riser Onii-chan. He's the one I've been telling you and daddy about." Before I could introduce myself, Hana does it for me.
Hearing her daughter say I was that mysterious Onii-Chan that played and gave her daughter snacks almost every day she bows and thanks me for taking care of her daughter.
I tell her it's no big deal since I see Hana as a littler sister. She smiles and then introduces herself.
"My sorry for not introducing myself. I'm Haruka Shirosaki." She says.
Now I remember where I've seen her other than in anime or manga. My business manager has a picture of her in his office. I knew they had the same last name, but I thought it was only a coincidence. Turns out he was Hana's father. Coming to this conclusion I ask just to make sure.
"Does your husband work for Phoenix enterprise." She seems surprised but nods.
"Yes, do you know my husband." She asks curiously.
"Yes, I'm the owner of Phoenix enterprise. I though you looked familiar, now I know it was because every time I went into his office, I could see a picture of you on his desk." I say making her surprised.
"OH, my id didn't know. Sorry if I was rude to you." She says while bowing her head.
"Don't bow and you have no reason to apologize. I'm not too good with formalities myself and honestly, I should be apologizing. I've given you daughter so many snacks she may not have had room for dinner on same days."
"Oh, it was no problem at all. This girl seems to have a separate stomach for snacks entirely." She says feeling relieved.
"Well I have to go now. tomorrow's a big day and I just came out here to get some fresh air. I'll bring you some snacks the day after tomorrow Hana and to your little friends too. So, make sure you behave ok." I say to them while making a promise to Hana who looks deflated after I said I couldn't stay.
Hearing me Hana smile and her friends get exited while her mother waves at me while I leave. Looking forwards to meeting seeing them in 2 days I head back home.
It's the big day. Right now, I'm standing alone in my waiting area. My peerage is on standby back at the house and since everyone thinks I don't have one no questions were asked. The rest of the group is with my parents in our reserved waiting area drawing quite a number of glances form the Devils community. Some of the cameras are even pointing at them directly.
Hearing the announcement, the theme is like in the story Kuoh academy and I am teleported to my starting area. I walk out towards the field where I'm found by Kiba.
Instead of engaging me in a fight he signals the rest who quickly show up. 20m infront of me is Rias with her peerage behind her. I see that she used up the rest of her pieces making her peerage quite large.
"You should just give up Riser. You yourself are weak no to mention you have no Peerage." Rias says with mockery in her voice.
"Oh really," I say while giving my peerage the signal. Behind me, 4 magic circles begin forming. Soon they disappear and, in their place, stand my 4-peerage member releasing their aura for the whole world to see.
