Chương 36: Chapter 35 Round 1
Soon battle after battled ended. After about the 20th fight Drake went up. "Drake Proudfoot vs Jeremy Ashwood." 02 announced yet again. (to be clear I am not going to put a name for every battle because it'd take too long so after this unless I deem the opponents to be of some importance I'll leave the name blank.)
With that both Drake and Jeremy were transported onto the arena. Within Drake's hand a gun as black as obsidian appeared. On it there was 2 black skulls on each side with red eyes. Simultaneously 4 balls of light appeared behind Drake.
'Bangs! So his year must have Tower Of God abilities.' I thought in interest. Within Jeremy's hand a sword appeared. Immediately one of Drake's bangs shot out but Jeremy barely dodged as his 2 hands clasped together and began to make various signs.
"Lightning Style: Lightning Ball!" Jeremy shouted as multiple lightning balls shot towards Drake. To this Drake simply shot the various balls destroying them while walking slowly towards Jeremy. "HAAAAA!" Jeremy screamed as he charged at Drake whilst slashing his katana down towards Drake's head.
"Checkmate." Drake said quietly as he dodged under Jeremy and placed his gun under Jeremy jaw. "I-I forfeit." Jeremy said as they both reappeared in their respective areas. Surprisingly Jeremy was from Jack's year.
'So now I know what each year has. Since not a single person from Drake's year had fought yet I hadn't known but now I do. Year 7s have pokemon, Jack's Year has Naruto, my Year has One Piece, Drake's Year Tower Of God while the Year 11s have an Rpgesque set up.' I thought while confirming my information.
The battles soon passed, one after the other. Eventually Jack went up. "Jack Todd vs Ooga." 02 announced for the 30th or so time at this point. (insert what ever name you want instead of Ooga.)
As soon as the 2 appeared on the stage a katan appeared in Jack's hand. It's blade was pure white with a cold blue gleam. The handle was black and Jack held it in front of his face.
His opponent held a staff and began to chant. As this happened Jack stood in place with the Katana in hand. Two seconds later the staff began to glow as a gigantic fireball shot towards Jack. At that moment he still stood in place as the fire ball enveloped him.
Everyone was shocked as they thought he died, till a shout came from behind the wizard. "1000 YEARS OF DEATH!" Jack shouted as poked both his index and middle fingers up the wizard's *ss.
"OWWWWWWWWWW!" The wizard screamed in pain and agony as he continued "I FORFEIT! I FORFEIT!" With that they were both transported to their respective areas. Once Jack had arrived among his year they asked "How'd you do that!? That was so cool!"
Hearing this Jack chuckled as he explained "It's simple really! As his fire ball closed in I quickly got rid of my weapon and threw a stone marked with the Substitution jutsu behind him, and in that 1 brief second I completed the seals and got behind him."
After that everyone looked at Jack with understanding. 'So he used that, thought so.' I thought while gazing at Jack with some surprise. Soon after the battles continued.
Thirty minutes later all the battles had been finished as 02 said "Round 1 complete! Dropping the invisibly barriers. Ten minutes of rest have been given."
To this Jack and Drake quickly walked towards me. "So we all made it to the 2nd round." Jack said with a grin on his face. "Indeed we have." Drake answered.
"Man but you're really strong Drake!" Jack said in astonishment. ".....It's not like I won my battle too or anything." I said with some annoyance. "I didn't mean it like that! We all could just run across the arena at that speed but Drake walked, it was, Legendary!" Jack explained.
'Why am I friends with this bozo.' I thought while I shook my head in dismay. "It was nothing." Drake finally spoke. Although he said that his eyes still contained some pride. "Either you or I am winning." Jack said while looking at Drake.
"Am I a joke to you?" I asked while looking at Jack in extreme irritation. Hearing this Jack turned his head slowly, realizing his mistake. "Ehhh, no it's not that you see, you know what I'll just go back to my area." Jack said hurriedly and in panic as he saw my eyes.
'You better run.' I thought as Drake simply nodded at me and walked to his area. After that 02 soon came back. "Let Round 2 Begin!" He said as the invisible walls closed up. Immediately after those in the wrong areas were also transported to the correct ones.

Dragonic_Dao By the way this is a turning point for the novel. If you've realized the prize hasn't been announced yet and that's because I need you guys to decide one thing. Devil fruit or no devil fruit? Those who come from the original know what type of Devil Fruit it will be but for those that don't know it will be Suna Suna no mi (sand). So choose wisely.
