It surprisingly didn't take as long as she thought it would to get everyone in order. When she was done she looked up when the sound of one of the directors voices boomed from the forty yard line speaker.
"Alright, let's get this year started right."
Proceeding his short statement was a line dancing song. Hoots and hollers were heard around the field from different sections, mostly low brass. The song was abruptly stopped as the band had taken the first out of sink step of the year. Three students rushed toward the speakers. As a series of "aww"s were heard, also mostly low brass. It took two minutes before the director radioed to the drum majors to get the section leaders to start on group teaching. The flute section is quite large so they evenly divided the group into five groups so as to not take up as much space on the field. Small blocks were formed around the field with various section leaders and upper classmen being the exception to begin the teaching process.
