Chương 34: Secret Admirer

"Hi, you must be Hayley. I'm Yuwen but you can call me Mundy."

A girl comes up in front of me and offers her hand, she was dressed in a baby pink top and black skirt. She looked sweet, while she smiled at me. Her hair was silky black and mid length.

I shake her hand. "It's nice to meet you, Mundy."

"She's one of our employee from the team B management team. I've asked her to take care of you for the day." Mr Robert looks at me and says.

I nod and he leaves the two of us. Mundy takes me with her and shows me around the place. All the employees here were friendly and welcomed me with open arms and I couldn't be more happier. She takes me towards a small group of people who were chatting among themselves but seeing us approach they instantly stop and stare at me. An unwelcome aura surrounded the six of them, I felt uncomfortable in their presence, a little guilty even for disrupting their chatter.

"She's Prince Elijah's new PA." Mundy gave my introduction and turned towards me. "Hayley, they are part of team B management team and we'll be working under you." Hearing Mundy's words, the six of them finally acknowledged me and continued to introduce themselves one after another. "I'm Andricia, the team leader. It's nice to finally meet you." A bit older looking woman spoke first. She held an air of elegance and her speech was posh, I instantly took a liking to her but something told me I needed to work extra hard to gain her trust 'Whatsoever'. "I'm Jennis, hopefully we can be a great team with you here." A female around my age went second, her hair in a perfect bun and a square shaped glass decorating her perfectly oval face. "It's Lucas, the computer savvy." A guy close to my age wearing heavy round glasses spoke next; with a smug expression as he pushed his glasses up over his nose and came closer to give me a hug. "I'm Bruce, don't mind him. He's like that with everyone." He joked and pushed him aside. He had a very prominent feature, with a sharp nose and eyes, it was easy to see he worked out a lot. "It's Dean here." Another man spoke, he seemed quite friendly and decent unlike the other two men. "It was about time we got another pretty lady," He continued and I took back my first impression of him just as quickly.

"I'm Hayley Sertori and it's really nice to meet you all. I hope we can get along well." I say and go forward to shake each of their hands, however, I'm stopped on my track once I get up to a girl who hadn't introduced herself yet. She looks at me up and down and pulls a face that said she disapproved. She was slender with a perfect set of eyebrows and makeup, her blonde hair was perfectly curled and reached just below her shoulders. Her black dress perfectly sat on her body, emphasizing her curves. She was the sort of wow factor I would see in movies.

"That's Chloe by the way. She's just mad cause you stole her dream jo…" Bruce came to my rescue from our awkward encounter but before he could continue Andricia cut him off. "That's enough Bruce."

I ignore their bickering and focus on Mundy instead but from my left side I could feel Chole giving me the side eye. "So, since you're in charge of me today. What's next?"

She looks at me and gives me a good job nod "Well...now I've introduced you to our team members but Amelia, our 8th member isn't here now so you'll meet her later today." I nod, happy at the mention of Amelia who I befriended on my first day here.

"Next I'll take you to your office and I'll tell you a bit more about what we do inside." She says and leads the way into a very sophisticated office. Elegantly decorated with black and white themes, fresh indoor plants placed neatly on my desk and sides of the door. Two large computers were placed on the curved table and a very comfortable looking office chair behind.

"Wow…" I speak out and breathe in the fresh fragrance. "I know right. I helped decorate it." Mundy spoke a little excitedly.

The room looked quite spacious; even with a large sofa and a glass table set in the centre. As I walked closer I noticed a big bouquet of red tulips placed on top of the glass table and my nose instantly filled with the beautiful scent of spring. Hanging on the side was a small note written in the most refined handwriting "You are unique; unlike Rose. Cherished like a Tulip."

I smiled inwardly, whoever it was; they certainly knew how to deeply touch one's heart.

"Do you know who sent this?" I ask Mundy but she shakes her head. "Someone from the flower shop delivered it early this morning with no sender information." She replied and added. "Must be your secret admirer; Awh...to be loved like this." We both laugh and come to the same conclusion, however I cannot think of anyone from this company that would become my admirer so quickly. After all, I've only been working here for less than a week.

Mundy takes out the files from the drawers and we sit ourselves down on the sofa, but before we begin she warns me about Chloe. "About Chloe; you should be careful. She was handpicked by Prince Elijah himself and that's why she always acts so proud. He even fired an employee for her so don't make her your enemy." She warns, looking serious this time. I nod my head, a slight uneasiness in my heart as if I would rather be anywhere but with Chloe. "What about what Bruce said earlier?" I ask her.

"She was rejected before she could even apply but we don't talk about it." She quickly replies back and I don't probe further, I push that thought aside thinking it's yet another jealousy and give it some time; it will eventually fade. However, how was I supposed to know, this was only the beginning.
