Chương 2: 2 The little Superman
I was trying to recall the face of this handsome man. Do I know him? Have I met him before? somewhere? But I dont know him... he continued following me, I was almost running and realized I could not equal his speed so I decided to stop and faced him. Brave enough outside, but not inside. I was running out of breath and sweating maybe because of the adrenalin rush. I used so much energy trying to go fast with my walk plus the nervousness added much to my sweating. "Do I know you?" Have we met before?" I forcefully said.
"Hey, hey! I meant no harm." he said as he put his two hands up in surrender with matching smile plastered on his face "I just thought you are my childhood friend long time I go. You look like her, but that was 13 years ago. Unless your name is Mia Amor then you are her, my dearest childhood sweetheart. Are you?"
I sigh in relief. Yes, I remembered him now but just like before, he is still the Richard who was arrogant, silly and bully neighbor who used to make me cry and give me candies afterwards. Childhood sweetheart yourself! I don't even consider him a friend before and never will be in the future. So I just gave him a shrug and simply said, "sorry, I am not Mia Amor" as I turned my back to him without even saying goodbye. I didnt even look back, I just continued walking and wished he was gone.
Richard Vasquez was in 3rd grade and I was in 1st grade. I was kind of a lost in school when he came to me and asked where am i going. I was almost crying and helpless so I depended on him to help me through. He walked me to my room and said, "be careful Mia Amor, your superman might not be available the next time you'll get in trouble. my name is Richard, we are neighbors in case you dont know. Bye for now my princess".
