Chương 15: Chapter 15: Stable Life Halted
"...I can't believe this". King Ramodrie said. "It's been peace for so long. What has happened to the statue"?
"Statue"? Braman asked. "What statue"?
"The statue of Kor bid. It was the symbol of peace between our worlds. If Treha has come to you, then that means the statue has crumbled". he replied.
As the king paces around thinking of what's happening he pauses and turns to Braman.
"Have you seen...CLOS"? he asked
Braman shakes his head. The king let out a sigh of relief and continues to pace the room.
"That's good. That means he's not at full strength yet. We still have time. I need you to find Droblyn. He helped me when this happened in the past. He's normally on the outskirts of the town close to the forest. Quickly find him and see what he can do". The king requested.
Braman agrees and continues to talk with the king.
"Also, Lapran and Cormin are...I guess dead"? He said confusingly
"Do you not know"? He asked.
"Well, Cormin killed Lapran and then Treha told me to jump in the lake and then I ended up in Currento and he followed me but he had Laprans head attached to this huge body". He explained.
"How dreadful. That's where you met the Currentian"? Ramodrie asked.
Braman nods and continues...
"Since they were merged, we started calling him Lap-min".
The king snickers.
"Lap-min? That sounds pretty lazy. Like fusing two people and just combining their names". He jokingly said. "But please, continue".
"As Dobram and myself tried to escape, Treha froze him in place, allowing us to get away. We teleported to the world of serpents, where we met Prorid and Korrin. Prorid was a small serpentorn with big ambitions. Korrin was the Lamantian with a sense of justice and self worth. When we made it through their portal, they were under attack by this, what seemed to be, possessed serpentorn trying to kill them, but with Dobrams quick thinking we saved them only to be confronted by Lap-min. Treha, appeared and held him back once again allowing us to escape where we ended up here. That's all that happened". Braman finished.
After taking all of Bramans story in, the king ponders on something. Then he speaks.
"How does Lap-min know where to find you wherever you go"? he asked.
Puzzled, Braman begins to think of how he's able to.
"What I mean to say is, wherever you go, he seems to follow. He didn't attack anyone else until you arrived there. What is it about you that's pulling him towards you? Have you ever seen or came into contact with the dark forces"?
"No. I've never came clo...".
Just then Braman thought of something.
"Your highness, how did Lapran become your son"?
"He was always my son. I've raised him since birth". king Ramodrie replied.
"But, if I'm your real son and he's not, how did we end up switching"? Braman asked.
The king stopped and thought.
"I don't know". he said.
"Before all this happened, Lapran was doing this move and there was a dark figure starting to form near his chest. He said the move was called 'Dark World Strike'. He also said he taught himself the moves. It's starting to become clear of who or what Lapran really was".
Meanwhile...
While walking through the road of the kingdom, Gwen, Korrin, Dobram and Prorid are still shopping.
'Step up and get a rare zion band. Help with stress and also relaxation. Only Five hundred Farenta'.
"Hey Gwen". Korrin said. "Do you have any Farent stuff"?
"Yea! Did you have anything in mind that you want"? She replied.
"This Zion band. I think it'll help with unlocking my potential. I need it". Korrin said.
"If you're buying thingss, how about getting me ssome arwe"? Prorid asked.
"Sure! Do you want anything"? she asked.
Dobram looks around then looks back at her.
"Naw, I'm ok. There's nothin..."
Just then he hears the beeping of a machine and then explosions.
"Is that...Backend Battalion...3"? Dobram asked. "We didn't even have the second one in Currento".
"Yea, around here we get everything super early". Gwen said. "Do you want it"?
He turns and looks at her teary eyed with a puppy dog face expression.
"Yes ma'am". he said eagerly
Gwen chuckles and begins to purchase the items they asked for.
"You guys wait here, I'll be right back".
As she heads into the crowded road, the three heroes begin to visualize the items they were about to receive.
"I'll be able to really protect and defend people when I'm stress free and relaxed". Korrin thought.
"More arwe! More arwe"! is all Prorid was thinking.
"I'll have to think of more strategies and plans, ulterior routes, everything". Dobram started planning.
While thinking of their new items, they started to feel melancholy. They started to think about their home worlds and everything they've been through. Suddenly.
"Hey guys! I'm back! It wasn't too bad either", she says as she goes through her bag,"I got the Zion band, three different flavors of arwe, and even Backend Battalion 3, The Backendiest edition. I got it pretty cheap too since I'm part of the king's 'entourage'.
As she looks up she sees them with a sudden sadness about them.
"Maybe I should've gotten the regular edition"?
Later on that evening, they were all at the king's dining hall enjoying the food they were given. Just then there was a knock at the door.
"Your highness, there's a woman here saying she knows you". The gate guard says.
"What does she want and how does she know me"? Ramodrie asked.
As the woman enters the hall, there's an aura of creepiness surrounding her.
"How may I help you m'lady"? he says.
As the light hits her face, it is revealed that it was in fact Bramans mom! She looked as if she escaped from being captured and tortured.
"Mom"? Braman called out.
"Braman"?
Braman stood up and began to run towards her but froze in his footsteps. He flashbacked to when she, Cormin and Lapran tried to kill him.
"I...I thought you were dead. What happened after I left that night"? he asked.
"What're you talking about? she asked. "I fell asleep and when I awoke everyone was gone and there was blood everywhere. I also found what looks like Laprans torso lying on the floor. What happened"?
As Braman looks in her eyes he could see something... familiar.
