Chương 9: Dinner Date

~Helian residence~

A Silver Rolls Royce Parker im front of the grand entrance of the mansion. The butler opened the door and let the young man im as he was expected by the eldest young miss.

Meilin floated down the grand staircase like an angel descending from Heaven. The man standing in the foyer gaped in wonder. "Hello Mr Li" Meilin's voice was soft and angelic. Li Huang coughed and tried to recover from his gaping mouth. "I am very glad that you accepted my invitation" "Oh it is my pleasure" Meilin smiled warmly. It was going to be a very entertaining evening.

~Lu Headquarters, Beijing~

"What is my daughter doing now?" Lu Feng sighed as he read through the latest reports on his daughter. He had been in America for the past months and hadn't been able to check on his only child Meilin. He sighed again, he was wondering when he was going to tell her about her real identity. It had to be soon as his younger sister was already bugging him to give up the company so that she could take over the accounts. "Kira?" "Yes sir!?", Kira rushed into the office. "We will tell Meilin about her identity on her eighteenth birthday" " I will put that into the calender" As Kira was putting the event into the calender he frowned. They had originally agreed on telling her after her twentyfirst birthday but now that boss's younger sister was trying to take over the company it would have to happen earlier.

~Eastside Restaurant~

Li Huang was extremely unhappy. It had been half an hour since Meilin had excused herself to go to the toilet. Everything had been going so well. They had been flirting and he was nearly able to steal a kiss.

After an hour, he accepted his fate. She had obviously made her getaway through a back door. The waiter came up to him for the sixth time in the past hour. "Sir would you like to-" The poor waiter was cut off. "No, I am leaving now" And with that Li Huang left the restaurant in a very bad mood.
