After all of them changed Owen started leading them towards the Great Hall, where midway through they met up with the other houses. In four separate lines, all of them stood at the front of the gate as it slowly opened.

The place was brightly lit with what seemed like a bulb floating in midair over four long tables, where the rest of the students were sitting. These tables were laid with glittering silver plates and goblets. At the top of the hall was another long table where the teachers were sitting. The hundreds of faces staring at them looked like pale lanterns.

Selena winced a little looking around when suddenly she felt someone grab her hand. She looked back to see Archer smiling at her. After a while, after she became calm Archer let her hand go as they separated their ways over to their respective tables. After they all settled in, a man in his middle-age stood up from his seat as he cleared his throat catching the attention of everyone.

"Welcome," he said. "Welcome to a new year at Ilvrmorny! Before we begin our banquet, I would like to introduce myself to you, new students and say a few words. I am Agilbert Fontaine the headmaster of this school. Our school may not have many restrictions but I do hope all you can behave well and follow the only existing rules carefully. Thank you!"

Archer had heard about the Fontaine family before but he didn't expect one of them to be the Headmaster of their school. The students clapped stiffly as he sat back down wondering who would talk about rules right after they introduced themselves while the older ones seemed used to it.

"Expected from the son of an auror." Alice said, "But still he could at least be a bit cheery today."

"Well, I guess the teachers at least look fun." Archer said looking at the teachers who all looked fun in their own way, to say the least. One had pink hair, while the other one was largely obese, one had weirdly long hair and the other just looked lost. In all honesty, they looked more like a group of people in a circus than normal.

"Fun might be the right word." Alice chuckled.

The empty plates in front of them were suddenly filled with food. From steak to fish, they had everything prepared. They all grabbed what they wanted to eat as they began talking with the other new students who were among them.

Archer realized that all the students in Thunderbird had at least one wizarding parents causing them to be filled with curiosity from a very young age. Though they couldn't use magic they were completely fine with seeing others do it.

One thing good about American society here was that there were no such things as pure-blood and muggle-borns stuff. Though there were still quite a few Nobel families around none of them didn't really fit in to raise in power like back in Britain. With heavy rules separating wizards and muggles, no one dared to lay hands on them let alone try and control them. So at least the American wizarding society was free of that burden but there were some that never really learned.

"I heard about you." A boy sitting in front of him said. Archer looked at him wondering who did the annoying sharp voice belonged to, only to find that the guy was talking to him. The guy had dirty blonde hair and sharp brown eyes which didn't really suit the weird complexion of his face.

"So?" Archer asked not too pleased with the attitude of the boy.

"I am a fourth-year. The name is Jamie, Jamie Bill." The boy said looking haughty, "You're Rakepick aren't you?"

Seeing Archer focused on eating, Jamie frowned a little, "I heard about your family. One of the pure-bloods right? I heard that almost all the members of your family were curse-breakers."

"You're a pure-blood, aren't you?" Archer finally looked at him, "Wait! I guess a wannabe pure-blood sounds better."

"My grandparents and parents are all wizards, so I am indeed a pure-blood." Jamie snorted, "I help all my fellow pure-bloods, especially someone with a history. So why don't you follow me and I will also love to extend the invitation to you to, Ms Lane."

Jamie said giving a creepy look to Alice who was beside Archer. Alice glared at the senior in front of her wanting to say something but Archer beat her to it with a burst of laughter.

"You're really funny, Jamie, right?" Archer wiped tears from the corner of his eyes, "Though, technically you're a pureblood you're nowhere worthy enough to compare yourself and I. These are the times I wish I was back in London where I'll just be able to openly humiliate you in front of everyone."

"You little brat!" The burly boy with short hair next to Jamie slammed the table causing every Thunderbird to look at them, "You better apologize to our boss quick or else."

"Boss? You believe in blood superiority, don't you?" Archer snorted as he looked back at Jamie whose face had already reddened with anger, "Then according to it you should know that you're not worthy of even being the carpet that I step on. Leave us alone before I stop being nice."

Jamie gritted his teeth in anger. Ever since he was young he was raised as a Nobel young master by his father who believed that blood superiority was necessary for the wizarding society for it to function. Though his family didn't have a history, with two generations of wizarding blood running through him, he was already born a pureblood wizard, and with all the wealth his father had collected there was no one better than him to be considered a Nobel.

"Kid, I'll give you one last chance." Jamie said, "Apologize now and I'll still let you join me but if not be prepared to face the consequences of your actions."

"Fuck off!" Archer said with a smile as he went back to eating.

"And you, Mrs. Lane is that your answer as well," Jamie said arrogantly as he looked at her with the same dirty eyes, "I assure you, joining me will be much better than this brat. For you and your family."

Alice disgusted with the way he was looking at her just raised her middle finger towards him and continued to ignore him.

Jamie's face twisted as his nostrils flared up, he stood up and left angrily as his goon followed behind him.

"You should be careful." Alice said after he was gone, "Though I don't like him, his family is still the richest in the wizarding world. So he has a lot of connections especially here in the states."

"Richest?" Archer snorted, "Just because someone flaunts their wealth doesn't make them rich. Believe me, travelling alongside my mother, I have seen enough wealthy people. And the Jamie guy isn't even in the top 100. I have never even heard his family's name before."

"I forgot your mother works alongside Gringotts." Alice nodded, "Is he really not that rich? I mean I have heard and seen things, that he and his family are doing especially in the last couple of years they've been making really big moves."

"They can claim to be rich because Gringotts doesn't have the right to publish or announce the richest people around the world." Archer said, "I accept that he might be the richest in terms of money he and his family carry but they still lack wealth. Though I don't agree with the whole pure-blood bullshit. Pure-bloods especially the Nobel houses around the world have treasures as their assets, that they never share with the world. If they were to ever sell those things they would be named the richest in an instant."

"Why don't they then?"

"Well not all of them aren't stupid." Archer shrugged, "When one claims to be rich, they are more likely get attacked. Remember we aren't muggles, we are wizards. We can kill and rob people easily than anyone can. So unless you are the dark lord or something, there's no chance for you to survive a robbery. Being in Gringotts you'll hear reports about stupid people getting robbed every now and then."
