from what ive seen, a common critique of this novel is that its monotonous and repetitive, at least in the beginning. personally i love the slice of life take on the system genre, its very casual with really no conflicts from what i can remember, just the kind of novel i always wish to read. i honestly adore meng fan, hes got a great attitude. wu tong is a mature and realistic woman, quite a refreshing love interest for this kind of novel in my opinion; she makes the romance subplot pretty enjoyable, which is somewhat unusual for me. zhang zhou wei i just find really endearing, i dunno, i think hes great. i found the raws of the manhua and the only one who looks like i expected them to is wu tong. zhang zhou wei looks kinda girly, i expected more of a gyaruo type of image (which would look really stupid in all honesty). freaked me out. i always thought of meng fan like daniel park from lookism, but apparently not. well, it is what it is.
Translator pls. i need this. Pla translate. is this dropped? Hiatus? I need to know these things or i will literally die a horrible death...
My current review (at chapter 242): No signs of annoying family members or siblings, and the push-over behavior has mostly toned down or at least isn't affecting the plot of the story. There are still some plot holes and MC could learn to develop a better backbone but thankfully due to the system, he has such overwhelming value that for now, the people around him seem to push him around much less and even if he is spineless innately, it doesn't affect how people view him since his charm stat and other skills are so high that it works for him which is a shame since he doesn't grow as an individual at a personality level but in terms of leveling up and the outcome of it, it's bearable since his stats work for him in a "metaphysical" way. The translator has also been better and making less mistakes which is why I raised my score. Updates are good. The world background is okay, the character design is still pretty bad but bearable compared to my initial review, and story development is average. So my review went from a 2.8 to 3.4. My original review (at chapter 140): "The novel seemed promising and the system qualities are still interesting but my poor rating is because of my disappointment as I continued further into the novel. This is why I don't like romance in novels with systems. The writer tends to lack life experience and create plots that make no sense, poisoning any redeeming qualities of the novel. The MC's love-interest is mature which is good but seeing how much of a push-over the MC and his overwhelming neediness is a huge turn off for me from reading this novel. His passive and needy relationship with the girl he likes is like his relationship with his mom. No backbone and no say. First we have his death and rebirth which contributed nothing to the story whatsoever. You might as well have just given him the system by luck then let him die because it changed nothing about his character. He only changed because of the rewards of the system. The system is great and the growth is interesting but then you have these poorly formed romances happening that ruin everything. Most of the guys in relationships are passive and supplicating for validation and favors in the bedroom and have controlling girlfriends who order them around. Then you have the MC's relationship with his mother and sisters. Once again, no backbone. It's fine if they're a bit annoying but for them to drastically affect the plot with their annoying character traits and very little redeeming qualities is really turning me off from this novel. And seeing how the author unfortunately lacks life experience, he's likely going to continue the relationship that this MC has with his sisters, mother, and girlfriend(s), infecting whatever positive traits this novel had with the system and leveling up. I'm going to keep reading a few chapters but if this doesn't show any potential of changing I'm going to have to drop this book and I've been very patient because of the other good parts of this book. It's real let down because this novel was otherwise promising and good read, especially for the first 60-100 chapters or so, with the flaws only becoming more apparent with every chapter. I hope that this changes."
Sigh~ it's a good urban novel and I'm looking forward to its new chapters. I hope the author will start updating, I'm craving for the development of this novel.
MC Meng Fan has a good personality and decent system. Not too OP and Not too weak. The writing quality is also good with the story development but I'm craving for more chapter. Author, please update more chapters!!!

This novel is one of the best modern day system novel . it's fun to read and until now it was never boring . The only issue i have with it is its update . It's too slow . At least 2 Chapters Daily should be released .
I really like how the story goes and how the mc do his best to achieve something. keep it up and hope you upload more chapters... it is at 316 now and still waiting for the continuation.
Mediocre. Story is too slow and 50 chapters in, nothing has happened. The MC is still fat, unpopular, and nothing different from 40 chapters ago when he first discovered streaming and whatnot aside from being able to run faster.
This novel is completely different from my usual novel of choice but somehow i cant stop reading. The pacing is slow and not much goes on but the slice of life and comedy somehow goes down well for me 😁
Amazing novel but to a warning to others this novel has been dropped by the author at chapter 518, but it's still a great read. In my opinion I like this much more than IRAS. Oh and the romance is not bad as well, it does take a while to get started.
Great overall story, but the translation is a little off sometimes like when they say 200 pounds is extremely obese for a tall person when it just means he is overweight, the translator probably meant 200 kg, which is indeed quite obese.
Honestly I didn't think I would stick with this story for as long as I did, but it really is fun and interesting even though it's not the type that I like, it really engages you to read just, one more chapter, till next thing you know you're paying for it 😂
