In the past, Ophelia was starting to think that her life would be the way that every family should be. A loving mother and father with a sense of humour that would be funny and comical and a 1-year-old that didn't understand the world very much who was always filled with joy and happiness.
But that suddenly started to change. Her mother was starting to fade away from her as she got older because she wanted to be more involved with work. Being a young woman with learning difficulties was much harder because she wanted her to stay with her mother but she couldn't take her daughter with her. Her mother, Emily didn't quite get along with her father, Timothy because he was recently sent to prison for unforeseen circumstances. Her tears were streaming down her face as she was looking at the one person she trusted in. Her long lost grandma that wanted to take her in because she didn't want her to stay in an abandoned orphanage.
The hardest things in her life were going to be her first day of school, her birthday and any other important event that she had coming up in her life. But that wasn't going to be the only thing that was going to make her miss her family more. She was going to have to find most things out by herself with the help of her old friends that she met from her early life as a child.
I think that as I start to write this novel I kind of have an idea of neglect and child cruelty so that it can grab readers attention. Then I can bring the tension with some other characters that might become a major part of the story.
