Chương 9: 9.Family not complete
Ragini stood in the dark full of doubts and confused. Prime minister he is, fighting against him will not be easy for a mere princess, he has more power in the kingdom than her, she cannot share this with anyone not even her mother and father without proof. She thought she should meet the king at least to make him aware that his brother have some illness and he is using datura as his medicine. If he sense something fishy, will the king doubt his brother? he loves his brother more than himself, so it will be useless to share with him.
She went towards her father room's door, two guards were present, as she was about to open the grand door of the king, one guard said, "my dear princess the king is drunk now i think, it will not be good for you to talk to him now". "how drunk could he be? everyone in the palace drinks at night including you and me". "Very much, i heard him sobbing, yes i drink but moderately and not in shift time princess ". " The let me see him, open the door", said Ragini.
The guards opened the huge door for her. She entered the room, a smell of strong alcohol came to her. The room was lightly lit, the vision was not clear, she took the candle stand by her. Murmuring of her drunk father came to her ears. Ragini followed the sound, soon she caught site of her dead drunk father lying on the ground beside his bed, he was holding something.
"Father, my king, you are such in a pity condition, why did you drink so much wine father?", Ragini said and went running to help him. She put straight his father in a sitting position, her father suddenly opened his eyes and looked at her eyes, brought his face close to Her and said "mhmmmmmm your eyes.. are green like mine and Ragini..like 19 years before... my lovely daughter you came back to your father.. thank you thank you so much dear" , with eyes full of tears he started kissing Ragini's hand. Suddenly seeing this strange behavior of his dad, Ragini confused, took away her hand from him and shouted "I am Ragini father and I am your only daughter". The king got startled " O Ragini it's you dear, it's Ragini my only daughter not her, I am sorry, I am sorry", saying so he bursted into tears stood up laid on his bed, "my family is yet not complete, not complete yet", he murmured and fell fast asleep.
"Family not yet complete", Ragini said in front of her dead asleep drunk father, " our family is complete father", she said but the other listener was asleep totally. She was completely confused "What's wrong with these people of the palace especially the two brothers?! One being the king and the other being the prime Minister have lost all their minds", she screamed in an angry voice to herself frustrated. Saying so she went back to her room angrily and went to bed.
