Chương 12: DENIAL-(Escape part 4)
Lumps of dissatisfaction begins to emerge as Josh reads the blueprints as well.
"This has to be a joke, there is just no way that this is true." Josh trembled in denial.
With a scrambled mind Lukito kept silent as he tries to think his way out of it.
"So they were just toying with us all along?!" Josh shouted.
"Calm down." Lukito said.
"What do you mean calm down?! Everything that we had planned for in this bullshit was for absolutely nothing!" Josh screamed at the top of his lungs.
"Well panicking ain't gonna give us a ton either." Lukito replied."And I think if we can pull it off this plan may work."
As they discussed their plan the men had finally caught up to them outside. Dogs barked and the men were fully equipped as well.
"Hey bud time's up." Brylle shouted."Be a good boy and come to us peacefully."
Lukito and Josh slowly went up and exited. As they stepped out side they saw that they were surrounded with an abundant amount of men.
"Hey you gonna risk it all? These are a lot of guys you know." Josh asked Lukito.
"Yeah im ready." Lukito replied in a straight face without any looks of regret.
The two putted their hands up and froze there standing.
"What's inside the fist? Open it." Brylle ordered.
The two did'nt say a thing and just stood there. As the other men approached as well lowering their weapons, Josh's hand opened, the smoke bomb that they saw in the temple came falling out of it. A cloud of smoke misted their vision as Josh ran away as fast as possible. While he saw his comrade leave, Lukito tried to run as well but failed to do so as one of the men tackled him. He pushed the man back and tried to take out as many as possible with the gun he got from the basement, but with sheer numbers he got knocked down eventually. He was'nt done yet though, he fought back even with no weapons and managed to buy some time, as he was defending himself a cutting sound was suddenly heard. He was stabbed. One of the men he knocked out had a combat knife with him. A cut close to the appendix left Lukito on his knees.
"The end." Brylle said while slowly walking towards Lukito from afar.
"Take him to the chamber!" ordered one of the men.
Lukito powerless and knocked on the ground couldnt do anything but just watch.
"Hey I dont know how you escaped the first time but that was pretty impressive." Brylle applauded Lukito.
They patched up Lukito's wound and then they took Lukito to their boss to ask him a few questions.
"Who was the other guy?" the leader asked Lukito.
Lukito silent as he looked at the man with hatred rolling down his eyes. He stared at him not saying a single word.
"Tough huh." the leader said as he tased Lukito.
"Well it's not like I care since sooner or later we will catch that pest as well." he added.
"And dont even think about escaping. Were in the 5th floor jumping down would cause you so much more trouble." he added once again
A moment of silence was suddenly occured when all of them heard a gunshot.
"Its that early huh." Lukito thought to himself.
He unhesitantly jumped out of the window face first and fell. They looked down the window and saw only smoke.
"I know they figured it out but... Why would they do something this foolish?" the leader thought to himself.
"You have a tracking device right?" Brylle asked.
"Yes." the leader replied.
"Then use it." Brylle shouted.
"I know yes this plot is intense shut up." Brylle added.
In a matter of minutes almost every part of the forest was burning. Except the temple.
"They are inside the temple!" the leader shouted to his men.
All of the men rallied up to the temple cause they expected a trap. After a brief search inwards the temple and they found it.
"So they dug a hole to get outside huh." Brylle thought to himself.
"They can't be that far." the leader spoke.
"Yeah but isnt it a little obvious? Cause they burnt every other place except here." Brylle asked.
"Well the tracker doesn't lie and it states that they are under that hole." the leader replied.
His men cautiously jumped down the hole and began searching.
"This is gonna work right?"
The men entered the hole and found it to be very small. The darkness played with their eyesights as they saw a shadow of a man. They went at it and saw someone, but they werent really sure who it was.
"Put your hands in the air!" one of the men shouted.
The shadowed man stayed silent and didnt move an inch. As they approach the dark figure they had a hunch that it will attack back. They readied themselves and proceeded to try to capture the man. One of the men finally mustered up the courage and grabbed the thing.
"A-an arch range target?!" the man questioned as the wires ticked off.
There was a grenade strapped to the chest of the dummy and when it was moved the explosion caught all the other men within the area.
[KABOOM!!!]
"What?!" Brylle panicked as he heard the explosion.
A smoke suddenly emerged from behind them. The men guarding outside werw knocked out and the temple was burning due to coffins litted up outside.
"How?..." the leader asked himself as he trembled in confusion.
A duo stepped out of a bush and ran straight towards the main entrance.
"I think I did a pretty nice distraction but how did you know where the tracker was?" Josh asked Lukito.
"I didnt. I just had a hypothesis since I saw the part getting the least amount of shots in the arch range dummies. Then of course we putted it in the dummy for the big plan." Lukito replied as they ran off close to the main entrance.
"You're fucking insane." Josh said with a grin on his face.
They ran outside the main entrance with a smile on their faces and a spirit filled with hope.
"FREEDOM!"
