Lexi sits still inside the cab while going back to the hotel. She made a mental note of where her things are so that she can get out of that place as soon as possible. This is also a way for her to be distracted. For her to not cry and look pathetic inside this cab.
All her efforts are wasted. The cab driver handed her a box of kleenex. Her tears are free flowing. She can't stop crying.
What she thought was right. Only stories like this works in a novel but not with her, not in real life. She was so angry with herself. She shouldn't have stayed. She shouldn't have went in this city in the first place just to have fun.
Then she remembered her mother, sister and brother. "I'm so sorry. I was selfish. I am sorry..." then she puts her head on her palms. She regrets everything. She needs to regret everything now. She needs to cry all now. She will go home as the old Lexi. She needs to pretend that nothing has been broken. She is strong and she can do this.
She wipes her tears away, pays the cab driver who insisted for her to keep the box of kleenex. "I will no longer need it." She firmly says while wiping her eyes and nose.
That's right. She thought about this. There will be complications.
She walks to the lobby and the receptionist runs to her. "Ms. Min, there is a visitor in the Presidential Suite." Lexi stops her with her hand.
"Stop with all the guests! I will just get my things and leave."
The secretary is still talking to her when she punches the elevator button and immediately closes it. She doesn't have anytime for this drama.
When she opens the door and about to go get her things in the bedroom. A woman stands from the sofa. She is wearing an expensive suit and big luggages beside her. She looks familiar she just can't remember where she saw her face.
"Who are you?" Lexi asks.
" I am the wife of the person who occupies this suite." Lisa Li answers.
