Chương 40: Chapter 39

Suddenly, I opened my eyes and started feeling the guilt of not talking to her. When she heard that I slept with Harini, she talked to me as usual like nothing wrong has happened, and when it came to her, I started avoiding her every call and didn't want to see her face again. Even though she cried, begging me not to leave her, I've just broken up without even a single talk about it.

"Is this what I am?"

"Should this relationship end like the way I'm doing it?"

I slapped me for the mistake I did and picked up my mobile, dialling her.

Before it started ringing, the customer service portal asked me to recharge to make a call.

"Oh, fuck! I forgot to recharge."

"What if she thinks that I don't want to talk to her?"

"What if she imagines that this is it?"

I started shivering and felt the emptiness, all of a sudden.

"I've got an internet connection, right?"

I rushed to the hall and turned on the laptop.

"Open up! Open up!" I hurried.

"Prachi, don't think that we officially broke up!"

At that time, I felt that love has no end for the loved ones even though she might cheat on me or not, at the very least but, I loved her more than anyone else in my life. Even my mom didn't get the time to see my love for her, Prachi has to see it, fully. My mom would've slapped me for taking her away from me without even talking to her.

I plugged in the connection and went straight to Facebook.

While I was logging in, I heard a message tone from the bedroom.

"I think, she messaged me."

I ran to the bedroom and looked up the phone. When I saw her name on the message, I blushed; relieved like I never did before. Just like the movie, how a girl lies on the bed, looking at the message.

As I opened up, I saw outraging words from her.

It said, "Why didn't you ask me why when I lied to you?—

You could've asked me why I was meeting Jayesh, but why didn't you?—

Why were you silent when you already knew my lies?

Did we break up? Please, tell me no!

Baby, I want you like a bird needs wings to fly.

I'm sorry!"

"What happened to her?"

"Is something gone wrong?"

I freaked out myself because I didn't even have a message balance.

I ran again to the hall and messaged her on Facebook.

"What happened, baby?" I messaged.

It was at 12:20 a.m., and at that time, she was online 30 minutes ago.

I messaged everything that will make her feel that the relationship isn't over.

I should've realised this earlier that she couldn't take any problems from her loved ones.

I even messaged her to listen Aaj Dil Shayrana to feel the presence of me with her.

We were messaging each other but at a different station, where I was the only one who could see the messages.

"Take a nap for hours, baby! And we'll see each other in the morning!" I messaged and shut down the laptop.

I wasn't getting over the messages she sent me.

"I miss you, Raghav! Please, don't leave me."

Every message from her, hinting her sadness she was going through. I bet none could love me than her, and I tried to break with her. I was ashamed of myself being selfish. This was the second time she showed how to be with someone we love. Though she started loving after me, her love has uniqueness than I have in my love. What one could expect more from their loved ones if their love is limitless to the person they knew since a year.

"I don't deserve to be loved by her, in the very least."

My sleep lost the race while I was thinking about the mistakes, which turned into utterly sadness. In the morning at five o'clock, I was online, waiting for her on Facebook. Like people said, empty mind, devil's workshop. My mind started over thinking whether she suicide or not. Moreover, I wanted to rectify everything before our eyes start avoiding each other. At that time, I wanted Bhargav beside me but also made him feel that I gave less priority when I didn't choose him over Prachi. While I was making so many mistakes within the fraction of seconds, none of them was trying to stay with me other than her. After an hour, she came online, and I messaged her to talk to me but, didn't get a response from her. She was there for exactly five minutes, and in those five minutes, she didn't even try to open and see my messages.

I took a bath; walked till the outside of the college and stood idle, looking around for her. One by one, all of them were getting inside but not her. The watchman from the gate told me to get inside before he closes the gate.

"What are you talking?" I questioned.

"These are the new rules issued by the new principal. Don't you know?" he questioned, smiling.

"New Principal?" I asked myself, scratching my head.

"You're from this college, aren't you?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm, and I know--this!" I lied.

"When this has happened, man? By the way, who was the old principal?"

I laughed at me and saw her wide eyes when she looked at me. She was very beautiful, but as usual, looking down while walking towards the college.

"Are you coming? Or should I close the gate?" he shouted.

"I'm telling you this because I saw you so many times, otherwise—"

I smiled at him and said, "I'm coming!"

While I was entering college, a guy on the bike stopped her. She behaved like he was frightening her. I stopped me and walked towards them.

"Hey, where you are going! I won't allow you after eight-ten," he directed.

I thumbed him up and told him to count till five.

She was rolling her hands; talking to him in fear and staring at either of us. All I heard that she was pleading him to leave her alone.

"Who's this guy? And why is she requesting him?"

I stood in between both of them, facing Prachi and told her to come with me.

"Excuse me, Boss! We are talking--Will you please leave us for a moment?" the guy asked me.

"What are you waiting for, Prachi? Answer me!" he yelled at her.

"Which answer, Baby?" I asked to her.

"Hello, who are you?" he asked, loud.

"Baby—what's the matter?"

"Who is he, Prachi? Tell me! I'm freaking out," he shouted at her.

I looked back, furiously and held his collar, "I'm her boyfriend and don't scream at her like this! Shut the fuck down!"

He was looking like a pig, and I hated him at first sight.

"You smell like racoon!" I pushed him away.

"Let's leave."

"Is he?" he questioned.

"Why are you asking her?" I raised my voice.

"Prachi, we've class."

"Jayesh, I don't love you," she broke her silence.

"Jayesh?"

"Is he the reason behind not talking to me for five days?"

I wasn't even able to swallow my phlegm, looking at him, and she stopped talking to me because of him.

"Fine!"

"—Tell him who I am to you, and we leave!" I said to her.
