Have not read the book yet. However I believe this image shows why I left the review. In all seriousness the reviews and synopsis makes it look good. High hopes!
Some novels are deliberate junk food, and thrive by following such a philosophy. But then again many are led astray by their writing, and become utter trash in the process. This.. work - which I dare not call a novel - is one of them. It started as pretty satisfying, but by the end you will be physically harmed by the act of reading it. Like an ex you once loved, before they showed their true colors.
Very mediocre novel. Now, it could've been one of the best in this site, if not for lack of one essential thing: Consistency. The translation quality, stellar in early to middle parts, drop like a rock in the final 400 chapters or so. Same goes for story development. The "space-time twist" is done abruptly or without any semblance of mechanics, confusing the reader. Character design, as a consequence, suffers from the faults of the earlier two mistakes. Still, world background is superb. It is what makes this novel rise a notch from middling class.
Finally a rebirth that makes sense thank goodness author sama use his brain and didnt just write mc went back in time and then they don't even bother to explain why he had a rebirth

Soo... he got killed in an among us tournament so he got drunk and quit the game. You can't make this stuff up.. idk what the authors goal is but it's over 1200 chapters so it doesn't seem to be a joke. Too many weird phrasings to seem like a coincidence though.. 😐
A good rebirth + MMORPG story, I like the way the world in the game is described but nothing much is said about the real world except in the earlier chapters. Good mind candy till about chapter 900 when the writer adds a switching between timelines switch and quality drops. The writer starts forgetting things and things get confused and meaningless. Oddly enough the translation stops 2 chapters before end of story, why? I read the last 2 chapters in Chinese as well as the author notes in which the author apologizes for drop in quality and abrupt end, seems it was to hard to combine writing with his new job. Too bad really, but especially the first 600 chapters are a nice read.

For some reason the author decides to make a parallel world where both versions of the mc are different from each other. Now I would have had no problem with this if this had been the plot point from the beginning but the author pulls it out of nowhere and ruins all the emotional attachment and character development of every other character for this weird plot twist. If this was needed because the author ran out of ideas then just end the novel instead of ruining so much work and effort because of a terrible plot twist.

The novel's good until chapter 918. I literally screamed what-the-****-with-this-shit-plot, it makes what Happy did until now meaningless moreover his-past-self-slash-alternate-world-self actually like Xu Yao (the one who betrayed him) and giving Xu Xin a cold shoulder

There are a lot of going back in time reincarnation novels but this one has had me the most invested, why? A love interest that is actually making progress, an MC that is not so weak but also not so overly OP and getting first everything(Credit to the author for putting him in only a month after, pretty ingenious to balance out the beginning) and finally, real progression! The fights aren’t unnecessarily long. You have a good idea of the geographic location and I mean just the Martial World itself is pretty unique for VR and a lot of things can be done. Lastly has super high potential because the author mentioned in the beginning that there were a bunch of reams yet to be discovered by players when he died so all in all so far I am satisfied 👍 P.S. Grammar is good too
Actually it was good. Really. I'm someone trying to be an author so i paid attention to the detail. It's really good, but i'm going to stop reading from Chap 918. If you ask me why? well i can't really stand this kind of twist. I like the story before but the twist....... no comment
Only read up to Chapter 53 Average novel throughout with a major deal breaker which is stupid villains. The sect vice-leader tried to kill MC because he was injured from fighting a S-class opponent but failed and instead got all of his henchmen killed immediately. This causes one of their strong members to leave because he knows that the sect will fall for going against the MC. The sect leader, vice-leader and the sec leader's sister are in a meeting to discuss what to do regarding the MC. The sister suggested three possible plans: Best plan, placate the MC; Moderate plan, do nothing; Worst plan, kill the MC. Guess which plan they did? Yup. The worst plan. Even when the sister explicitly said that it's the worst. She's even happy that the sect leader chose it. For pride. And the sect leader's background in the real world is like a security/bodyguard boss/mafia. Read this novel expecting these kinds of villains.
