Kibito and I appeared on Earth's watchtower. He looked towards the large building and spoke in a clear sonorous.
'Guardian of Earth! Come out and greet me.'
A few moments later, Mr. Popo and an elderly Kami appeared from within.
'I am Kibito. Attendant to the Supreme Kai. I have come here to leave this child with you. He wishes to learn. So you must teach. He is in your hands.'
Kami had some understanding of the Kai's and immediately showed surprise. Kibito didn't leave any room for questions.
'Farewell Rei.'
He disappeared leaving an awkward atmosphere between Kami and me.
'My name is Rei. Its a pleasure to meet you Kami.'
'Likewise. What did the attendant mean by you wanted to learn?'
'I wish to train in martial arts and get stronger.'
'I see. With that, I can be of some help. First, you must train with Korin. Popo show young Rei the way.'
Mr. Popo's flying carpet appeared and he swiftly lept onto it.
'Let's go see Korin. Hop on.'
Without hesitation, I jumped on board and we made our way to Korin in moments. I got off and explained my intention to train. For the next 6 hours, I put my all into catching the immortal cat. My body was incredibly agile and before long, I mastered the afterimage technique.
'Congratulations kid, you managed to catch me. You may drink the sacred water.'
'No thanks. I would rather have the ultra divine water.'
'You know of it? Then do you know that it has killed 13 people before you?'
'Won't kill me.'
'Very well. Let's go.'
Korin himself took me to Darkness and the location of the ultra divine water.
Before Darkness could speak I interrupted.
'I'll be drinking this water. Don't waste your breath.'
With that, I confidently poured myself a cup and downed it in one go.
A moment later it downed me and I lay convulsing in agony.
So painful!
I wouldn't die. I had the cells of some of the strongest beings in the universe. Before long the pain was gone.
'Well, that wasn't so bad. Let's head back.'
Korin looked at me with an expression of doubt before we headed back the way we came. Once we reached the tower, Korin gave me a senzu bean explaining what it did.
'It even restored my energy! You should cultivate as much as you can, you never know when you'll need one.'
He nodded at my advice and gave me a bag of 20.
We said our goodbyes before I lept up to train with Popo.
