I look out onto the gorgeous sunset. Everything went well today, as well as funerals go I suppose. I smooth out my cheap black dress. I never wear black. So I had to wear something from my aunt's closet. I click my nails against the wooden bannister. A single tear rolls down my cheek.
"My eyes are sweating," I say to no one. I feel a sudden chill behind me. I hug my shawl tighter around my body.
I don't think that one family should have this much bad luck. First, my cousin died in a tragic fire. My boyfriend barely got out of that fire alive. A tear falls down my cheek gathering at my chin. But after hearing what his mother said one drunk night he couldn't live with himself anymore. then There was my second cousin who got hit by a car. Driven by her stupid drunk and high father. I put my hands in my head. And my second cousin's sister who got shot by her father.
I've stopped trying to control my tears now. I look out onto the sun. My eyes sting, and it's starting to get unbearably cold. Last I heard about their father he had gotten a job as an electrician. I stifle a laugh. I also heard about his brother. apparently went after his beloved after she threw herself into the sea. Two weeks later their daughter was in the hospital. I rub my hands with my palm.
I smile. I can't believe all of that worked. All of those superstitions. Actually worked. I laugh. I have worked so hard for all of them to go. But what unique ways to do so.
All of my wishes have come true.
So that was the last chapter for this incredibly dark book... I'm quite surprised and concerned that this book has so many views. I've kinda tried to explain the connections with the characters in this chapter... If it doesn't really make sense then I could try and explain better? I'm not quite sure how it works so... Also, I would like to say that I'm starting a new novel. Kinda a romantic, adventure, fantasy thing so make sure to have a look at it!
