Chương 25: Results

Once Riku got to the hospital he passed out from the fatigue and blood loss. A few days after he woke up and was recovered from the blood loss when he woke up he saw his mother who looked disappointed and worried at the same time. While his father was the same calm person that he always saw. The last person in the room was Ryu just sitting in the corner looking half asleep.

Yukine: Oh thank god you are ok.

Riku: Yes mother I am fine.

Yukine: Now tell me why did you end up like this and remember this isn't the first time. There was a moment earlier this week that you also got hurt now please tell me why should I let you continue in these exams.

Riku: Uhhh.

Hayato: Yukine relax. Your son may have gone through some dangerous trials but this only will make him stronger. He will go nowhere if you keep babying. Remember that he is the future of two clans so he needs to get strong.

Yukine: I know but he needs to be safe first.

Hayato: *sigh* You know as a parent we need to let our child grow so he can protect himself in the future. You know we will not be around forever so he needs to be able to take care of himself. That is why I let him take the exam in the first place I agreed that he could learn from the exams like Ryu said.

Ryu: ...

Hayato: What to scared to speak? Geez man I guess a mother can be terrifying when protecting her children.

Yukine: Fine but he will need to train with all of us even that Unicorn he talked about to get stronger and if he is at a point that I am satisfied with I will let him attend the finals. He is near the point of full resonance so I will be the one to train him the most as it will give him the biggest edge.

Hayato: Ok I can agree with that you agree right Ryu.

Ryu: … Sure.

After the conversation his parents left to go get food for Riku while he rests more because in a few days he would start to train again. So Ryu decided to tell Riku the situation.

Ryu: Kid listen up.

Riku: Hahaha you are scared of my mother.

Ryu: *sigh* I can't be bothered to retort. Listen kid at the end of the preliminaries they decided to take a break of a month off so that everyone is recovered as well as give some time for training.

Riku: I understand why mother is saying I can't participate until she approves.

Ryu: Yeah kid. I also think that you need to know some things. That kid Gaara is probably the most dangerous right now. But first what do you know about the eight gates?

Riku: I know a little. I know that there are eight gates to open and each of them will give you more and more strength as you open them but also damage your body.

Ryu: You got most of it right but I don't think that you understand the full idea of it. The sensei of that kid Rock Lee that you know is a master of it and his name is Guy. At a few gates he can perform some insane feats but from what I know at the sixth gate he can perform a technique that he punches so fast that they are set on fire just from the speed and friction.

Riku: That is insane.

Ryu: Yes but the power and the drawbacks are immense. But back to why Gaara is the most worrisome. The kid Rock Lee took off some pretty insanely heavy weights and also opened the eight gates to five which is one less gate then the punching technique that Guy does. But that Gaara kid still beat him and even injured Rock Lee to the point that the only way for him to still be a shinobi is that he will need to get some major surgery.

Riku: Oh my god.

Ryu: That Gaara kids defense is pretty much unrivaled at your age. His attacks are also devastating. But he is not the only problem you face.

Riku: What else is there?

Ryu: There are two more that you really need to keep an eye on. A Otogakure shinobi Dosu and the other is the Hyuga genius Neji.

Riku: What caught your attention about them?

Ryu: Neji of course is the most talented in the gentle fist and byakugan of the younger generation. Although his fight was not amazing the fact that he took out another byakugan user so easily is worrying.

Riku: Ok so I need to worry about the byakugan and the gentle fist.

Ryu: But for now the threat of Dosu is upon you. He is your first match. He has a jutsu that uses resonating echo speakers to generate sound that will make you feel pain, nauseas, and more. What worries me is the fact that he is very intelligent when it comes to his jutsu. He was able to one shot Choji.

Riku: What?

Ryu: Yes this chunin is full of monsters. Although those are the ones to keep an eye on don't forget about the others. Although that Naruto kid isn't that amazing right now I can see how fast he learns and picks things up he will be a lot stronger in the finals. Remember Sasuke has the sharingan and he is the student of Kakashi who is known for his sharingan. Beware of Shikamaru his intelligence can crumble some amazing combatants. Also remember those other Sunagakure kids they are strong in their own fights and although their fights was a lot of them just out classing their opponents they most likely still have hidden jutsu.

Riku: Thank you for the information.

Ryu: Of course kid you need to start training as soon as possible.
