Chương 10: Chapter 10
I arrive to school 18 minutes before my class starts. Too early, even for me. Oh what to do now that i'm waiting? I could do my nose exercise before anyone else comes to this halway.
I start doing it and remember to correct my tongue and jaw posture at the same time.
Time passes by...
SUDDENLY; a classmate arraives. He is a nice guy. He works hard and gets good grades. His points of beauty would be around 57. So a fine looking dude. I could descripe his appearance as a classic gentleman or an agent from action movie. His hair and eyes are average dark brown color, but his skin is white like snow, lips are cute and red and his jawline is quite elegant and sharp. Also his body is manly. Manly as in the opposite of feminine. Women are full of round, fat and curvy shapes, while men tend to have the figure of a stickman. So thin straight and flat.
His name is Eliah.
Because I descriped him so troughoutly, I think that I might like him. But there is a huge flaw! Eliah is a modern man and doesn't seem to care about appearances and instead judges people baste on their personality. ... Gargh! My personality sucks! He would never like person like me, no matter how beautifull I end up becoming.
Oh well, well oh. Other people have arrived and I see teacher coming to start the class.
Our first class of the day is literature. The teacher keeps talking about the same old Kalevala that we all know so well. Actually I remember only few things of it... There was some dude named Väinämöinen... there was also sampo, a type of machine that can produce anything. Women kept committing suicides, because the guys they hang out with weren't good enough.
Yup! I am going to get a low score from the upcoming test.
The class goes by and finally... Freedom!
How does everybody else escape this classroom so quickly? I am still packing my backbag and they are all gone.
I go to the hallway and sit next to my pillar. What to do during this 15 minutes of free time?
I must stare at other people of course! I think that my eyes are quite the nice looking ones, at least today. I hope to let others see this too, for the sake of them having a better expression of me.
It is also a good psychological trick to make people like me. Humans feel more worthy if someone is to acknowledge them by paying attention to their eyes. Keeping ones eyes widely open can also give the impression that they are intelligent and trustworthy.
Ah right! Children tend to view cute and good looking faces as more trustworthy and big eyes happen to be cute. People have evolved to think that big eyes are cute, because our offspring happens to have so small bodies that their eyes look big in comparison. When people think that their child is cute, they are more likely to protect it, making it survive all the way to adulthood and passing down their cute genes and the instinct to like cute things.
So the overall conclusion is that children trust other children more than what their parents(the people taking care of them) say.
Oh look at the time! Our drama lesson is starting. How fun this is going to be!
We settle in the classroom and start reciting our lines. The teacher says:"Try to memorise your lines by next week, that's when we will start practising on stage.". I am starting to get nervous. I got so many lines! Can I really remember them all so soon? I must try my best!
My first action is yawning.
Actual first line is:" Is that an angel I am seeing?"
Second line:"Are you as smart as you're beautifull?'
3rd:"Oh don't leave! Stay here with me!"
4th:"I will let my fairies serve you."
5th:"I am a magical being that is above normal everyday life, I am the queen!"
and so on it goes...
