Chương 20: No Space For Dead

Mei Lein gently removed the bedsheet and walked over to the floor-length window. Instantly, her heart warmed at the sight of her husband standing by the shore, quietly gazing at the sunset. A soft smile spread across her face as she admired the serene blue sea and the distant horizon where the sun was setting. The golden light shimmered around him, outlining his figure in a way that made her heart race, yet filled her with a sense of peace at the same time.

For a while, she simply stared at his back, lost in thought. Memories of the past month began to flood her mind, and slowly, her smile faded. Standing there, silently watching him, Mei Lein felt the weight of everything that had transpired between them. She lingered for a long time, letting the moment sink in, before eventually turning toward the bathroom to freshen up and bathe.
