In a Roman Arena

All Maximus has ever known is war.
All Calliope has ever known is the comforts the palace.
Both are orphans.
Both are on a journey that will result in either death and love, or living heartlessly.
Which path will they choose?

P.S. This story is written in a way that sounds a lot like the movie 'Gladiator'. I assure you, though I took inspiration from it, this is not Gladiator fanfiction. The fact that my character Maximus is also the emperor's most trusted general and Commodus is still a key character does not change that.
