Chương 22: Wooden Box
This was turning to be a good start.
Others followed and gave their rings to him. Unfortunately, the next ones that followed showed no results.
Then the five representatives of the auction houses came at the same time and produced a shocking number of ten rings.
He scanned them all and found five ingredients ingredients for the agility potion and two ingredients for the strength potion. He was just one less short on ingredients for the agility potion.
Next came the Zell family, with Marty giving the rings. Arthur can tell that this uncle of his looked confident. They were really trusting him too much and just prepared two spatial rings. He scanned it and was surprised to see the last ingredient needed for the agility potion. He took it out and the black wooden box at the same time.
Everyone was puzzled by the box but Arthur never said a thing and gestured for the next person to come.
Lastly, Princess Celica went near Arthur and gave just two rings. He was just starting to scan the rings when Argon and Thea said something.
'Master, there is nothing worthy on the rings that she gave you. But the skill seed on his possession is suited for you. I know that he failed harmonizing it. Let her stay behind and make a deal.'
'Also Master. She has a special ability that may help you rank up. Better get close to her as the Zell family young heir.'
Arthur really don't want to make a deal with Celica. However, Argon will not make a suggestion without considering his Master's benefit.
Arthur tossed back the rings back to Celica. He already made a decision.
"Stay behind little girl. I want talk to you about something. I am sure you will benefit more if you listen to what I have to say."
Celica nodded and went back to his unconscious guards.
"Now, I won't go back to my word and tell you who will recieve the three favors that I propose. The one who brought this black box, bring yourself forward".
Marty became nervous all of a sudden but maintained his calm demeanor until he arrived near the mysterious hybrid.
"State your name and tell me where did you get this black box."
Marty was dumbfounded because he can't really tell that he got this from his nephew. Although it will be the truth, it will just turn him into a liar, because no one will believe that this thing which caught the interest of a powerful hybrid was brought by a kid.
"Sir, I am Marty Zell. My family deals with importing glass materials for potion tubes and other potion making equipments. My father told me that he received that as a gift long time ago. He said that there was a magical ingredient in there but he was not strong enough to entirely open the box. He tried, but just opening it a little bit made him unconscious for a month. He never tried again but he kept this as a collectible. Just before he died, he told me never to try to open this and trade for it if possible."
When he was done, even Marty partly believed his lie. Well desperate measure calls for desperate times.
Arthur was impressed by his uncle's improvisation. It really was one of a kind. He totally sold a bullshit story and you can tell by the other's facial expression.
"Your old man was a fortunate and an unfortunate man at the same time , Mr. Zell. If he ever pursued the interest of opening this box, then he may have been the culprit of the destruction of half the cities in this kingdom.
What is inside this box is the Nethermoon Golden Dragon fruit. This is always been the way to ripen a Nethermoon Golden Dragon fruit is to put it to a box made in Craven Crow Wood. Why? Because until it is ripe, the fruit emits some kind of scent that will make you sleep until it ripens if you are directly near it."
When Arthur got this fruit, it was the day that Thea possessed him. Thea's passive ability, Mind Shield, will nullify any weak mind attacks and illusions so he was safe when he entered the Nethermoon Golden Dragon tree area.
When the fruit of this tree ripens, it will turn golden emits a very refreshing scent. Only one fruit can be taken in a lifetime, and it will definitely rank up your level and amplify the skills you have.
"I don't know if it is some kind of joke or a mistake that your old man got this. You deserve my three favors just because of this box. As for the others, what do you want in exchange for your herbs that I took out? I will see if I can do it."
"Sir, if you have a skill seed weapon for a hybrid with an ice element, I would like to exchange it for that." Ryan Allison was the first one to say what he wants. His grandson has an ice element so it is perfectly normal for him to request this.
Arthur was silent for a minute before taking out a white skill seed and tossed it to Ryan.

"If it is possible, we would like to request a skill seed with a support type ability. Heal, Transformation or Boost abilities will do".
The request of the representatives of the auction houses astonished Arthur. It was not his business to meddle with their affairs but he can't stop being curious.
