Chương 13: Children of Dreams
Currently, almost fifty children surrounds me and introducing themselves with big happy smiles. After the first two dozen arrives. Another two dozen rushes over out of nowhere. They're age ranging from five to twelve year old and all wearing swimming attire. I could only nod and smile back at their earnest introduction of their names.
Then, after all the introductions are done, and all the names of the kids memorized, a few older teenagers comes over and asks the children nearby to make space for me. The seven young adults then all line up and bows in a synchronize. Four boys and three girls. Strangely some of them have exotic hair colors.
"It's nice to finally meet you All Father," one of the oldest looking teenager, a boy around the age of sixteen with dark blue hair says so with a solemn smile. It seems he's the leader?
"We apologize for our younger sibling's behavior. They're too excited to meet you," another teenager girl with golden hair speaks up.
"Oh, I don't mind," they are just cute kids anyway.
"All Father. As you might have guess, we only appear here to introduce ourselves within your dreams. We did it as so your rest would not be disturb in such a way," another teenage girl speaks up. She has dark purple hair.
"Now, that we have establish this.....I will introduce myself first," an orange hair teenage boy says so quickly.
"Hey! I thought we agreed it's me first. I'm the oldest here,"
"I didn't agree anything on that!."
"Yeah! Just because you're the eldest doesn't mean you can boss us around," a red hair teenage boy speaks up and points at the eldest son. Soon, all of them starts to quarrel among themselves, while the little children before only laugh at them.
"Quite! You guys are being disrespectful towards the All Father," one of the teenagers who hadn't speak anything before, suddenly shouts at them. He have a sleek dark green hair with spectacles on. With that, everybody clamors down and sits quietly on the sandy ground.
"Now, I'll begin the introduction first," with that word everybody gives him a ridiculing look.
"My name is Vert. I'm the third eldest,"
"I'm next! My name is Jaune. The second eldest," the blonde hair teenage girl quickly speaks up. The black hair teenager raises her hand up as if declaring she's next.
"My name's Violet. I'm the fourth eldest," following her example, the next one raises his hand as well. It's the orange hair boy.
"My name is Koralle. I'm the fifth eldest."
"M-My name is R-Rose. The sixth eldest," a meek looking pink hair teenager raises her hand nervously.
"My name's Rouge. The seventh eldest," the red hair boy points at himself with a thumb.
"Finally, it's my turn. My name is Ciel. The eldest," so these are the oldest children I have among all of them. Wait, Kahu says there's more than a hundred. There's only almost half of those here.
"Umm, I heard from Kahu that there's more than a hundred. So, where's the other?"
"Well, the other sixty eight couldn't find a space in here. So, they have to wait their turn. Also, some of them are still too young," my first daughter, Jaune explains. Sixty eight more! Just how many kids do I have here?
"Umm. How many sibling do you guys have?"
"All of us are exactly one hundred and twenty," Vert replies confidently.
.......!!!!
I desperately need child support. Probably, upon my reaction the numbers, my eldest son promptly speaks up.
"No need to worry, All Father. All of us siblings take care of one another. We have been from the start since your slumber," Ciel quickly extinguishing my worries. Even though, I quite consider myself still young to have kids but, I can't complain now that I have such precious children now can I?
"But, still I'm the father of all you. I need to take my responsibility as a parent here."
"We know you want to but, you need to rest more, All Father. Probably, after you arise from your sleep then you can do so for us," Violet says softly. I still want to speak more about this matter of caring the kids but, their pleading gaze prompts me not to.
SIGH
"Alright," this is not me trying to run away from responsibility.
"Anyways, there's something I've been meaning to ask from the beginning. I've created all of you to take on any desirable forms you guys want but, how did you guys know how take these forms?"
"We construct our form from the memories and dreams you have, All Father. All of our current forms comes from this dream you have right now," Vert explains.
"So, the form you've taken are all duplicates from the memories I have?"
"Yes! Do you like this form of ours, All Father?" Koralle looks at me with eager eyes. Actually, all of the kids behind and the other teenagers look up at me while waiting to be praise.
"Of course! Everyone of you looks so amazing. Truly amazing," Looking at all of them reminds me again that I now have kids. Children that I need to nurture when I finally become awake again.
They all cheer and smile at my words. Their innocent looks on their faces truly makes me want to protect them, even though I've just only met them. Is this how parents feel when they see their children for the first time? This sense of becoming a guardian and tutor for them.
Wait, matters about tutoring them. Isn't always better to teach them really early? I know that some of them have grown into young adults but, they still need tutoring and guidance. Also, even though that they just claim that they can take care of each other but, a lesson from a parent is still crucial.
The only way I see of working through with this is by teach them now in my dream. Tutoring within a dream, eh?
