Julian's battle is about to start and he needs to go to the waiting room.

Chloe "After this, we should go to a restaurant I am very hungry"

Julian "Sure"

Daisy "I saw a nice place let's go there"

Julian "Let me finish my battle first"

After receiving their good luck Julian walked out of the room and headed towards the waiting room, as he entered there he saw Ash and his friends talking.

Brock noticed Julian enter and called him.

Brock "Julian over here"

Julian walked towards them.

Ash "Julian did you see my battle? what do you think"

Julian "You did good"

Max "Sir Julian, your battle is next right?"

Julian "Yes"

Ash "Guys let's watch the battle and then go to our room"

Brock "Hmm, then let's do that"

May "All the best Sir Julian"

They walked out of the waiting room and left him alone.

Julian sat on a chair and closed his eyes so that he can clear his mind as usual before he goes out to battle.

After waiting for a while a man soon came in to inform him that his match is about to start, Julian opened his eyes and walked towards the underground elevator which will directly take him to the battlefield.

Outside on the battlefield people were getting restless as they wait for Julian's arrival, every battle of his is a sight to be seen and people are on their edges.

The announcer got the ok to being the announcement and he soon began with the introduction.

Announcer "Ladies and Gentlemen, its time of the main event, the one that you all have been waiting for, the battle between trainer Sterlin and Julian, an epic conclusion to the qualifiers, now enough talking from my side and get ready for the action"

Announcer "Our first trainer is Sterlin, he has been defeating his opponents under a minute in every battle, he is being called the dark horse of this year's Ever Grade Conference, some even say that he might defeat Julian and claim the title for the strongest trainer, till now he has remained undefeated till now but will it continue, let's welcome Sterlin"

As the announcer finished the introduction a man soon entered the battlefield, he has dark blue hair and is quite tall as well.

People cheered for him as they have seen him battle, he is really a powerful trainer, some pitied him because he is going to be eliminated before he could even reach the top 32.

Announcer "Now let's welcome our next trainer, I need not even give an introduction for this man, please welcome Julian"

Julian also arrived on the battlefield and people cheered for him as well but louder.

He looked at his opponent.

Julian 'He seems promising'

Julian though and looked at him.

Sterlin, on the other hand, is a little tense, even though he has remained undefeated till now and have defeated his opponent faster than Julian, he doesn't know what Julian holds, he had spent a whole day studying Julian's pokemon but he only noticed one thing, his pokemon were not trying at all, they were just casually using moves to destroy their opponent.

Sterlin 'I just have to give it my all'

The referee soon walks in and looks at both the trainers and explain the rules, after getting confirmation from both Julian and Sterlin he moves on.

Referee "You may choose your pokemon"

Julian "Metagross and Absol you are up"

Julian sent out Metagross and Absol, they have battled together with each other so they easily coordinate with each other.

Sterlin looks at the two pokemon Julian sent in and decided to bring out his best as well.

Sterlin "Swampert, Blaziken, let's go"

Sterlin sends out his best pokemons for the battle.

Referee "Let the battle begin"

As the referee waves the flags and indicates the start of the battle, Sterlin makes his move.

Sterlin "Blaziken use Fire Punch on Metagross, Swampert use Hammer Arm on Absol"

Both of his pokemons then rushed towards Metagross and Absol.

Julian "Absol hop on Metagross. Metagross go up"

Absol jumped on Metagross and Metagross went up high and got out of Blaziken's and Swampert's range.

Sterlin "No you don't Blaziken go after them"

Blaziken ran and jumped, its speed and power behind its legs helped it to get below Metagross and Absol.

Julian "Metagross use Psychic"

As Blaziken is about to get close to them, Metagross sent a powerful Psychic blast towards Blaziken which blasted Blaziken and sent it back to the ground, Blaziken crashed on the ground and smoke rose up.

Julian "Absol use Psycho Cut"

Absol then started to shoot multiple crescent-shaped blades made of psychic energy, it shot towards Blaziken with full speed.

Sterlin "Swampert, use Protect"

Swampert got in front of Blaziken and used Protect and protected Blaziken from getting severely injured.

Sterlin realized that it's not going to be easy for him, he has to put more effort if he really wants to hit Julian's pokemon.

Chương 225: Mega Battle?

Sterlin wants to go all out and even beyond his limit for this battle and he decided he would.

Sterlin "Swampert use Water Fall"

Swampert raised its hands and roared, suddenly a huge amount of water start to accumulate above and came crashing down on Metagross and Absol.

Julian "Metagross use Reflect"

Metagross covered both him and Absol with a powerful Psychic shield which protected them from the incoming Waterfall, they made it out of the Waterfall as it crashed on the ground and the whole battlefield got filled with water.

Julian "Absol freeze the battlefield, use Icy Wind"

Absol then released a freezing Icy Wind which started to freeze the water on the battlefield, Blaziken and Swampert are suddenly unable to maintain their balance on the slippery Ice.

Julian "Metagross, use Flash Cannon on Swampert. Absol Psycho cut on Blaziken"

Sterlin "Blaziken, counter it with Fire Punch, Swampert dodge and use Mud Bomb on Metagross"

Absol sent a powerful single crescent psychic blade towards Blaziken, Metagross shot a powerful Flash Cannon at Swampert.

Blaziken powered up its fist and covered it with blazing flames and punched towards the incoming Psycho Cut, Swampert moved by destroying the ice below its feet and moving to the side, the Flash Cannon destroyed the Ice and sent shards of Ice everywhere and hit both Swampert and Blaziken, they didn't expect an attack like that.

The Ice shards hit the blind spots of both the pokemon and cause them to lose balance, the slippery ice also didn't help them much.

It could clearly be seen that Metagross and Absol were completely dominating from the start as they have higher ground while Blaziken and Swampert who are powerful physical attackers don't have much to do.

Swampert has some powerful special moves but they aren't able to reach Metagross and Absol.

Julian 'Maybe I was expecting too much from him'

Julian thought as he saw Sterlin struggling to command his pokemon, he is too focused on Julian and what he will do than his own pokemon.

Sterlin looked at the battlefield, his opponent and the pokemons belonging to him, he took a deep breath and realized that he was too focused on Julian.

Sterlin "Blaziken, melt the Ice down"

Blaziken then started to shot Flamethrower causing all the ice on the battlefield to melt.

Sterlin "Let's go all out"

Suddenly he flashed something on his wrist which was hidden by a band, it is a mega bracelet.

Seeing the mega bracelet on his hand Julian got surprised for a second.

Sterlin "Blaziken let's show them, Mega Evolve"

As Sterlin said this, a Mega Stone which was hidden under the thick fur of Blaziken's ankle got revealed, it started to shine brightly alongside with the keystone on Sterlin's hand.

Announcer "OH MY ARCEUS, Sterlin is Mega Evolving his Blaziken, this is the first mega evolution of the tournament"

Blaziken soon started to change as the shape of its head started to change, fire on its arms started to grow crazy and run wild, soon it was revealed to the world, Mega Blaziken.

Seeing the Mega pokemon crowd went wild, this is the first time a Mega pokemon battle is taking place in the league and millions of people are watching on their TV.

Julian 'Should I do it too?'

Sterlin "Blaziken, use High Jump Kick"

Blaziken suddenly charged towards Metagross and jumped, its speed was faster than before.

Julian "Metagross use Reflect"

Metagross once again used Reflect and deflected Blaziken's powerful High Jump Kick, Blaziken landed back on its feet and started at Metagross and called him out.

Seeing this Julian was surprised.

Julian 'This Blaziken has some attitude'

Julian "Absol you take care of Swampert, let Metagross handle Blaziken"

Absol jumped off Metagross and rushed towards Swampert.

Sterlin "Blaziken attack Absol with Brick Break"

To his surprise, Blaziken didn't listen to him at all, it started angrily at Metagross.

Julian 'Achieving Mega Evolution has made him lose control over his pokemon'

Julian thought and looked at Metagross.

Julian "Metagross, Zen Headbutt. Absol Mega Horn"

Both performed their attack respectively.

Absol charged towards Swampert while using Mega Horn, Metagross covered his body with pulsing psychic powers and charged towards Blaziken.

Sterlin "Swampert use Hammer Arm to block Absol. Blaziken, use Fire Punch"

Swampert raised its arms and brought it crashing down on Absol, Absol swung his huge glowing horn at Swampert and the clash created the water on the ground fly everywhere as the ground below them crashed, Absol's attack was more powerful and with the type advantage move he pushed Swampert back and landed the Mega Horn on its chest and sent it rolling on the ground.

Blaziken on the other hand completely ignored Sterlin's command and charged towards Metagross and used High Jump Kick again and this time it isn't as lucky as before, Metagross just blasted through Mega Blaziken and sent it flying across the battlefield and crashing on the ground.

Julian "Your Blaziken is strong but it is too arrogant, just because it received power made it look down on you, as a trainer you should always keep that in mind always keep your pokemon in check"

Julian said and flashed his Keystone.

Julian "Metagross Mega Evolve"

Announcer "WHAT IS THIS? Even Julian has a Keystone, he is going to Mega Evolve his Metagross"

The Mega Stone on Metagross's arm started to shine and emit light, the light them started to fuse with the light emitted by Julian's Keystone.

Metagross then started to change, his two legs in the back fused together to form an even bigger one, his head shaped changed and soon the crowd was able to see Mega Metagross.

The crowd went berserk, seeing two Mega Evolution in a single battle.

Julian had no need to mega evolve Metagross but seeing how Blaziken acted he wanted to show it what true power is.

Suddenly the whole aura in the battlefield changed, the pressure from Metagross caused the gravity around the battlefield to increase significantly.

Mega Blaziken got up and looked at the monster in front of it and realized how week it really is in front of Metagross.

Julian "Both of you, get this over with"

Absol stood his ground and suddenly released a powerful dark aura alerting both Blaziken and Swampert, they realized that even Absol was holding back the whole time.

Absol suddenly started to create a small ball of Dark pulsing energy which slowly started to grow, this is a self-created move by Absol, collecting a huge amount of energy at a single point and then compressing it and adding more energy to it making the move even powerful.

Julian still isn't able to come up with a name for this move, for now only Absol is able to use it, his Tyranitar is slowly learning how to do it as well.

Sensing the power behind this move Swampert backed down as it knew it was the target.

Sterlin "Swampert, counter with full power Hyper Beam"

Swampert knew it cannot escape so it decided to go all out.

It started to collect a huge amount of energy for the most powerful Hyper Beam it could create.

Metagross folded his hind arm on top of his head and two arms on the side and transform into its jet form, then it created a powerful pulsing layer of psychic energy and charged towards Mega Blaziken.

Sterlin "Blaziken, Use Last Resort"

Blaziken this time listened to Sterlin and collected a huge amount of energy in its body and then charged towards Mega Metagross.

Absol released his attack, Swampert did the same as well, but the results were still the same, Absol's new move ripped right through the Hyper Beam and hit Swampert, it didn't stop there and carried Swampert with it and took it out of the battlefield.

It was the same case with Blaziken and Metagross, Metagross is too powerful and with his jet form, his speed is faster than before.

Metagross hit Blaziken and destroyed all the energy Blaziken collected and carried it together towards the wall behind Sterlin, where Swampert is going as well.

Both Swampert and Blaziken got planted into the wall at the same time, Blaziken lost its mega form and fainted, Swampert also fainted.

Referee "Blaziken and Swampert are unable to battle, Metagross and Absol wins, winner of this battle and the person to advance to the top 32 is Julian"

It's over.
