As she recalled the last days before her father's deathbed, she leaned her back against the cold stonewall. She recalled the blissful days when her father was still alive and treated her like his treasure. Since young, she was told that her mother had passed away, so she had an exceptionally close bond with her father.
Whenever he had time, he would sit down and repeat stories about how he met her mother from the beginning to her death from an explosion. Whenever he mentioned anything about her, his face would show the warmest and gentlest expression.
Even though the stories repeated plentiful times, she never got bored listening to it. Even when she mouthed along with what her father said, she would still listen attentively with a huge smile across her face. She looked forward to growing up and finding the right man who would also show such passion for her like her dad did to her late mother.
Unfortunately, the man she fell for was a fake crap bag. But nothing mattered now because she had lost everything. Everything was gone and it all began since his death. She hugged her knees close to her body and hid her face between them.
In recent years after her father, Shi Zhuang Guo's passing, the reputation and business related matters had drastically dropped under her management. A huge part of that was due to the lack of confidence that the board of directors had in her and her ability to maintain a company. With the lack of experience and young age, she naively believed that her family would unconditionally assist her.
When Shi Zhuang Guo died, his lawyer claimed that he had long written a will that left all his life's savings and wealth to her. Every asset will transfer to her name, and it will effectively take place right after his death.
As the shareholders' trust in Shi Xue lowered tremendously from her monthly statistics revenue reports, her family successfully persuaded her to allow them to help her regulate Shi Corporations in her place. Though reluctant, she ended up agreeing because she wanted to save her father's company.
Her family brought her a document to sign indicating that she was willing to let her uncle operate the company in her place. Unknown to her, her family had slipped a different document underneath the one she had signed and that was a legal transferring asset agreement! Her signature printed from the first document and sunk onto the second document that was underneath it.
The transfer shares agreement indicated that if anything ever happens to her, then all of her inheritance and wealth related properties would transfer to her family members. She read the first document and thought that there were no problems to it before signing it. Her aunt distracted her and somehow slipped the second document under the first.
She only found out when everything got processed and since then, she could not trust any of them.
Shi Xue trembled as she mumbled to herself, "D..daddy.. What should I do? Why didn't I see through any of their schemes? Did they plot against you? Did they hurt you too…?"
