<<Eos Forest>>: Level 1-35

1:30 AM, Philippine time | Asia Server

Jae is definitely working hard, as he already finished all the quests that he accepted from town. With some help from the EXP scrolls that he received, while doing all the requirements for the side quests that he took from town, GentleBreeze has already reached level 20 in just a short amount of time. It's probably safe to assume that Jae is truly enjoying.

As Jae heads back to town, he didn't waste any time at all, as he kept practicing his class' mechanics and skills. So far Jae is adapting pretty well and is starting to get the hang of his new class. Of course it's going to take a lot of practice to master his new class but Jae is always up for the challenge.

GentleBreeze kept dashing and flipping all over the place as he heads towards town. Along the way, if there were unlucky monsters that would cross paths with him, he will make them his practice dummy until they die.

Jae was really enjoying playing, that it really has been a long time since he felt this kind of joy when he's playing Rampage. In fact he was was enjoying a little too much, that when he started noticing the unfamiliar surroundings on where GentleBreeze stood, he was taken aback.

Jae did a double take on his surroundings, then with a nod he said "Yup, I'm pretty much lost"

It didn't really worry him, in fact the though of him being lost in the middle of a beginners' forest was pretty hilarious, that he started laughing softly at himself. It was really embarrassing, but thankfully no one was there to witness it.

Eos Forest is a pretty big forest, so wandering around without really knowing the ins and outs of it may result in one being lost. And that's what exactly happened to Jae. He kept practicing and practicing that he actually lost track of where he was going. Yes, Jae has been playing Rampage from the very beginning, but that was so long ago that it was inevitable for him to somehow forget how to get out of the forest. Also it was night time, so he could just reason out that it was dark and get places a little mixed up.

"Hmm... Let's see now...." Jae mumbled as he studied the forest map. "So, the fastest way.... is to go straight ahead, then just follow the river upstream. Okay, straight ahead we go!"

This time Jae manged to hold himself back with practicing and just straight up followed the map, since he didn't want to make the same embarrassing mistake again.

GentleBreeze was swiftly running, heading towards the river just up ahead, when suddenly a loud explosion shook the whole forest.

"What the-!" Jae almost jumped out of his sit when he heard the explosion. The volume on his headphones was pretty high, so when the explosion happened, you best believe that it scared the living day lights out of Jae. His ears were still ringing from the loud explosion, when a loud roar rang across the forest not long after.

"Ho-Ho-Ho!" Jae cheered "This sure is a great day!"

Yup, Jae manages to get himself lost in a forest for beginners but just one roar from a monster, Jae could already pin point what monster it was. At that moment Jae's blood started pumping, as he got more and more excited.

GentleBreeze took a turn from his intended route and followed where the roar came from. He kept running, until loud commotions could be heard in the direction where he's headed, which was a good sign that he's going in the right direction. GentleBreeze ran a bit more until he arrived at a wide circular field in the middle of the forest. At the center of the clearing, a raging humongous blob of goo was surrounded by a party of five, but it was not looking pretty.

The party consist of 2 level 30 Blade Emperors, 1 level 28 Saint, 1 level 31 Shadow Chaser, and 1 level 30 Royal Guard.

"Hmm..... Pretty balanced. But they're gonna have a hard time defeating that huge blob without a range DPS" Jae thought as he watched the party engaging in battle.

GentleBreeze stood at a distance, carefully studying the party and the monster in front of him, as he watched the battle unfold.

<<Slime Emperor>> that's the name of the huge blob that's currently crushing the party of five. When players in general think of slime, their first thought would be the weakest monster there is in a game. Well, they're not wrong, but slimes in Rampage are also a little different. In Rampage no monster can never be underestimated.

The <<Slime Emperor>> is level 35, so battling it in a normal circumstance would be no problem, but considering that it's night time, it would be a pretty challenging, not to mention the little minions it has.

While playing as a beginner, The<<Slime Emperor>> is the first ever Mob-King that a player can encounter. It's really not that hard to spot, since it's a huge blob with a tiny crown on it's head and a curly mustache on it's face. No one can really argue that it really is cute.

Cute aside, this Mob-Kings is a nightmare in the night. It moves really quick and deals massive blows to anyone it hits. The minions on the other hand are pretty much just normal mobs that can easily be discarded, but very annoying to deal with.

As Jae observe some more, with his professional eyes, he could tell that some of the players in the party are already experienced. Why they're playing a low level character? It could be for resources, it could be helping out a friend who's just starting; there are a lot of reasons to come up with, so Jae didn't think too much about it.

As the battle progressed, the Saint made a very beginners mistake and over healed his teammates, hence getting the aggro of the Mob-King. The Royal Guard just used his taunt skills earlier so he couldn't grab the aggro back to him. It was safe to say that the situation was very chaotic. It was such a shame really; Jae could see that the experienced players were truly trying their best, but the party's rhythm was pretty much non-existent, since the beginners were messing up one way or another. In the end, all the hard work of the experienced players were all put to waste.

Jae didn't want to interfere since he holds on to his values very strongly. Yes, KSing is allowed but Jae never wanted to stoop so low, like some other players do. For him, first come first serve. If the players who first saw the monster defeated it, then good job to them, but if they were defeated instead, then though cookies; Jae on the other hand would never waste their hard work.

It didn't take long for the Mob-King to completely annihilate the party of five. Jae felt regretful for the party, but also very thankful. He had the choice to join the party, but decided against it, for various reasons. First of all, Jae's starting out from scratch, so he needed all the resources that he could get; if he joined the party, and they defeated the Mob-King, all the loots will be divided. It might seem very heartless of him, but he needed to live smart and efficient. And second of all, it would just be really stressful.

Jae didn't waste anymore time, and charged at the Mob-King as soon as the last of the party's member fell. Jae calculated everything well, and knew that there was no chance for the party to successfully defeat the Mob-King. So, when it was just the last member standing, Jae already activated a <<Ultimate Buffing Totem>> and ate a <<Nutritious Bun>>, giving him buffs and increased his stats respectively.

When the party saw Jae, charged at the Mob-King, they all felt very angry and bitter, knowing that someone will be benefiting from all there hard work. It was tough cookies but that is just how the nature of Rampage works.

As GentleBreeze entered the Mob-King's aggro, an angry vein popped on the Mob-King's head while smoke puffed from it's ears and nose, like the ones you seen in animes, making it look very cute.

The Mob-King sent it's minions towards GentleBreeze, but they were all sent flying when GentleBreeze used 'Wyvern Tail Sweep', sweeping his spear around him and knocking back all enemies that was hit.

GentleBreeze never stopped as he continued his charge towards the Mob-King. The Mob-King wasn't intimidated as it leaped into the air and came down with intense speed. GentleBreeze rolled to the side, expertly dodged the Mob-King as it landed on the ground with a huge explosion. Unexpectedly, the Mob-King shot out of the cloud of smoke like a cannon ball, hitting GentleBreeze directly, knocking him back.

Jae gritted his teeth when the Mob-King landed a hit at GentleBreeze. He controlled GentelBreeze to dodge once again, but the problem was, with GenlteBreeze's current stats, even if Jae is putting in the right keys fast enough, the character won't be able to follow just yet.

Jae was so used to playing with his old character that his old habits were still rising, even when playing with a new character. There was no question in Jae's confidence in soloing the Mob-King; At first he thought that he could do it, no problem, but now he was starting to think that it could take more time and effort than what he initially imagined.

As GentleBreeze charges forward, he drank a potion to recover his health. Jae pretty much already got the gist of the Mob-King's attacks, so... what he'll just have to do now is apply what he learned, while continually adjusting to GentleBreeze's capabilities.

Utilizing the limited amount of skills he has, GentleBreeze bravely charged forward, unfazed and unafraid. Jae isn't really worried that he wouldn't be able to defeat the Mob-King on his own, what he's worries about is, is it worth the time and effort; consuming almost all his resources in the processes.

"The answer to that? Of course it's a YES!" Jae thought as an excited smile appeared in his face, ready to take on the challenge.

GentleBreeze spun, swung and thrust his spear towards the Mob-King. His unrelenting attacks, slowly ate away the life of the Mob-King. But in the process, his own HP and Mana was no different, as they rapidly decrease, only being constantly replenished by potions.

Thankfully, Dragoons has a passive skill called 'Draconian Blood'. If not for this skill, GentleBreeze wouldn't even last. It's a permanent passive skill that raises a Dragoon's physical and magical armor, health and endurance. With the Dragoon's considerable DPS output and 'Draconian Blood', combined with their fast-paced mobility skills, makes them the most balanced and all-rounder class in Rampage. They might be a little OP when looked at first, but their skills consequently have long animation locks, which is the most frequent reason why Dragoons die. Also, they have low skill options at an early stage, which could be an advantage or disadvantage, depending on the type of player that's playing. For beginners it could be an advantage as they could just rotate to a limited amount of skills without being confused, but for more advanced players this can actually limit their abilities to such extent; which is what Jae is going through at the Moment. So... It's safe to say that Dragoons are pretty tricky to master.

Jae's already 30 minutes into battling the Mob-King but the Mob-King's health is still 65%. If he continues on with this, it would probably take too long for him to defeat the Mob-King, and by that time, the party of five would have already been back or another party would have already arrived.

It really has turned into a dilemma for him on what to do, which urged him to silently pray that some form of help would come.

And just like an answered prayer, help did come.

<<BlackCandle would like to form a party with you: Accept | Decline>>

Jae did think for a second, but eventually he did click on accept. As soon as he clicked accept, small black flames surrounded the Mob-King and its minions.

A soft but menacing laugh filled the air, sent chills down Jae's spine.

*Snap*

After the sound of a single snap rang out in the cold night. The black flames erupted in a pillar of flames.

"Midnight Warmth" Jae immediately recognized the skill.

The skill lasted for about 3 second before the flames faded, leaving a minionless Mob-King in the middle of the clearing.

"Ara Ara! (Oh dear!)" A soft voice came from behind GentleBreeze

GentleBreeze turned to see a very voluptuous woman, holding a long smoking pipe, came out from the shadows. It was like the woman actually materialized from the shadows itself.

"はじめまして (Nice to meet you) GentleBreeze-kun! Shall we finish off this slime together?" The woman said

Clearly the player was using voice chat. The way she spoke was so gentle and soft and sweet, yet the way she said it with that kind of tone made Jae even more unsettled. She was like the classic gentle woman but extremely powerful anime type character, that everyone respects.

"Thank you for your help! *Bowing Emoticon*" Jea could only type out in the party chat.

"Ara! (Oh!) Aren't you sweet" BlackCandle said with a soft giggle, "Very well, let's not waste any more time"

And not waste time they did.....

Note:

Night Time -*Makes monsters stronger and more powerful. They increase in speed and are more evasive in Night. But they also give more EXP points. (Note: This effect only affects field monsters)*

Mob-Kings -*Are monsters stronger than normal monsters, while weaker that field bosses. It could be said that Mob-Kings are the leaders of a particular type of Mob (e.g. Slimes). Mob-Kings can only be encountered on a field. Unlike field bosses, where they fight alone, Mob-Kings always has an entourage of minions with it. Also, Unlike Field bosses, where every participant gets a loot; When Fighting Mob-Kings, it's who ever gets the final hit, gets the rewards. So stealing is very common when it comes to Mob-Kings, since they also drop priceless Ancient Items for self made items. (Note: Ancient Items' value are all equal, regardless of whatever the level of the monster it came from. All Ancient Items has their own specific uses that gives them their own importance.)*

KS -*Kill Stealing*

Midnight Warmth -*Is an AoE skill that deals continuous magic damage for a short duration of time*
