Seeing this happening, Lie Fan helped Cai Wenji relieve her from the site of his other wives and said that Cai Wenji didn't mean anything and that it was a normal question to ask then he turned to Cai Wenji, hugging her and swore that he would never do such thing.
While she was being hugged by Lie Fan, Cai Wenji showed a smirk to her other sisters, who realized that she planned this all along and never expected the gentle Cai Wenji to do such a thing.
As Lie Fan's residence in Xiapi was filled with happenings and playful bickering, to the far east of their location, Tianshui which was under heavy siege by Cao Cao entered a critical situation.
Even though Ma Teng had tried his best to position his generals and soldiers, after around a week of siege his soldiers were killed left and right at a fast speed, while Pang De and Ma Chao grew exhausted with each duel they passed through.
Xu Huang and Zhang Ji had substitutes to replace them after dueling Ma Chao and Pang De, in the form of Han Sui's eighth rider generals or Cao Hong and Zhang Xui to help them conserve their energy.
This caused Pang De and Ma Chao to be exhausted to the extreme, and Ma Tweg was on his wit's end because, without the two of them, the defenses at the south and north walls of Tianshui were vulnerable.

Entering his room, he saw Wang Yi doing some embroidery and looking up when she heard the door opening, and seeing him she showed a gentle smile asking him to take a seat.
After sitting down, Zhao Ang turned to his wife, "Yi'er, the situation at Tianshui is worsening by the day, what do you think we should do?", he asked Wang Yi while holding both of her hands.
"How bad is it Husband? Do we need to evacuate Tianshui or do we still have some room to maneuver?", Wang Yi asked her husband while trying to calm him down, and her brain began to spin fast.
Zhao Ang managed to calm himself down with the help of his wife, "There is still some room for us to maneuver some moves, but I don't know if our army could even survive the onslaught from Cao Cao's Army.", as he said so with a trembling voice, Zhao Ang caresses the hand of his wife and kissed it.
Listening to her husband's words, Wang Yi sighed not expecting the situation had turned this bad because a week before the situation look optimistic for them, and how the tables have turned now, "Then there's only one thing we can do now Husband, which is to choose which side we stand on this war, will we stay loyal to Ma Teng or we swear our allegiance Cao Cao.", as Wang Yi said so she looked at her husband eyes deeply.
